Very clique. Management loves to micro manage all employees and causes a lot of undue stress. If you dont seem to be doing your job, they audit you to see how long you take to do certain tasks. High turnover rate in Lab and PSS positions. No matter what position you are hired in to do, you will be doing other positions jobs too. Always short staffed due to turnover. Getting to know patients is the best part of the job and also the hardest when they pass. I have learned to keep my head down,  not talk to any coworkers unless absolutely necessary.  Don't share any personal info or opinions because they will be held against you sooner or later. Patients are dollar signs to the company and employees are just numbers filling a position. PTO is easy to request but can be difficult to take. Two people are not allowed to be off at the same time from same department. Can't take the same holiday off year after year. Medical, vision, dental std, ltd, etc are offered but are expensive. If you decide to accept a position with this company, use it for experience on a resume and go someplace that values you. Pay is not comparable to other local companies for same position. You definitely get paid less and are expected to do more. Raises are a joke (40cents, if lucky). Performance reviews are a joke too. They have you rate yourself then actually use it against you. "No one scores above a 3 here". Over 20 employees have left the Elyria location in the last 4 years. Do what you want but don't say you were not warned. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The PTO accrual is a good rate.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Bad management. Most of the management staff has no clue of what it takes to get good results from their subordinates or from insurance carriers. They ask their teams what they need t do their jobs then uses the feedback to complicate the processes or something else for which  it was not asked.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Sometimes it can be tense but orderly.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was left on my own to complete my tasks most of the times. However, when I needed direction from my supervisor, I was ignored unless she felt like she was being challenged which was not the case. But when I circumvented her and solved my problem, she took the  credit and made it look like she handled the issue.

The work environment was not healthy- employees were expected to work overtime frequently and management would often target specific people who they thought were underperforming, even if they had the exact same performance as colleagues. Had a coworker quit and was told to take on their workload, while waiting for someone new to get hired. It has been 4 months and it doesn’t seem like they plan on it, despite my asking them to keep looking. My workload has not decreased. They refused my request for a pay raise and offered a small bonus instead, which they then accidentally deducted from my next check instead of adding it. 
If there are red flags and/or they seem desperate during the interview process, don’t walk, run. 
PTO benefit is good. Other benefits are not. My health plan has a $6500 deductible before even a PCP visit is covered. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
They give you immediate vesting in 401K. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management and understaffing. Management does not communicate effectively. They expect more and more out of the nurses without enough staff. There is no concern for patient safety. And there is not adequate training on new drugs. There is more emphasis put on quantity of patients being treated than there is for quality of patient care. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Management creates a divisive and toxic work environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Nonstop. No time for mandatory lunch breaks. They are only concerned about how many patients you can fit in a day. More concerned with quantity than quality. No support from management.

I absolutely loved working with the patients and the coworkers in my office but other than that, it was a nightmare. All offices are controlled by the parent company, AON. The management of AON is horrific. They are only focused on making money and could care less about patient safety or employee satisfaction. The standard nurse to patient ratio is 10:1, which is extremely dangerous when administering chemo. You are constantly being micromanaged and told what you have done incorrectly. Management will throw you under the bus to cover themselves or blame you for their bad choices. All employees receive a 2% raise (this is every year) no matter what their evaluation is. STAY AWAY!

What is the best part of working at the company?
I love my coworkers. The patients become your family. It's just the overall great place to work!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part was getting close to patients, then losing them due to their illness. Like I say they really feel like family after working there for quite some time.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's awesome! Love how many personalities come together to make the work environment smooth.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The day usually goes by fast due to being busy, but you try to make the best of it while you're there.

You have 2-4 providers daily (changing daily so no set providers) and they mostly all only do 15 minute appointments because the company pushed that. Then ontop of that they double book all the time. So as a MA your 9am you can have 4-6 patients at a time.. and then you have 9:15’s, 9:30’s etc. nobody will help because they’re all too busy too expect leads/management but they won’t help at all. Rarely get a lunch because providers schedule through lunch most of the them..  the only good thing is you get lunches from vendors 2-3 days a week. Pay isn’t good either for the constant RUNNING you do.. I would not advise this company it’s such a toxic environment and favoritism is a real problem. 

I love working at AON, not only because of what I do and the practices and patients I help but also because of the people I work with and the work I get to do everyday. With multiple practices, no day is ever the same which makes it fast paced but also fun. Projects are varied allowing for different skill sets to be used. I can depend on each member of our team to be proactive and get their work done well. Working remotely, we have all the support needed to work, communicate and collaborate. The organization is fast growing which is exciting for job development. 

Since I've joined AON, I have enjoyed working with everyone I meet - from the practices I support and the people interact with directly.  The people are genuine and truly have patient care at the forefront.  Leadership is transparent and have the best intentions in supporting community oncology to provide excellent patient care efficiently.  Here - you are not a just a number but recognized and appreciated for your contributions and skill set.

Its balls to the wall everyday unless at a little satellite clinic. In the beginning they make you think they care about you then soon as you have a crisis they dont care. The managers there are horrible if they aren't buddy buddy with you or you're not kissing butt they don't care about you. They let certain employees do what they want. The doctors there are ok and the NP's and APRN's are really nice, heck the NP's and APRN's care more than management. I do not recommend anyone to apply to this place.
