A typical day at the company is busy but rewarding. Most days involve handling assigned tasks, communicating with coworkers and patients, and working together as a team to keep everything running smoothly. There’s always something to do, which keeps the work engaging and helps the day go by quickly.

Working for American Pain Consortium was a profoundly disheartening experience, marked by poor work-life balance, favoritism, and a culture that bred exclusion rather than support. A toxic hierarchy based on family ties and personal friendships dictated opportunities and daily interactions, making it clear that advancement was less about merit and more about who you knew. Management often engaged with employees in a patronizing and dismissive manner, speaking down to staff rather than fostering mutual respect or professional dialogue. Constructive feedback was rare; instead, employees were met with micromanagement, condescension, and a clear message that their input held little value. This lack of dignity and professionalism from leadership, combined with a broader culture of indifference to employee well-being, created an environment that felt hostile and unsustainable. It was not a place for growth—it was a place where morale went to die.

This is literally the worst place I have ever worked for in my life . The providers are great and they love their patients however the upper management and your peers show favoritism and are rude , nothing but drama. Corporate culture is extremely toxic and if you aren't "in" with them, its made very clear that you do not matter as a human or as an employee.  All the upper management is all either related and or married.  If a situation comes up HR and legal do not give you the opportunity to explain what happened they will take the patients word over everything and anything. Very understaffed. They promise you a career ladder but make it impossible to achieve. Do yourself a favor and run.

A typical day included making accession numbers for udt cups, and checking patients in. You have to learn everything on your own and when you have questions or reservations about the position you are let go.
 
Management states there is an open door policy however they fail to mention that the door will hit you if you have issues of any kind. 
There is NO training available and the office is very poorly run. 

The hardest part about the job was not self teaching the position but rather worrying who was going to stab you in the back. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting the patients and getting to hear their stories.

A typical work day is 8.5 hours. The work is very fast paced.  The company is family oriented, and more than accomidating of your outside needs.  The patients are fun, and most of the time very grateful for our assistance. It is very gratifying to see a patient improve from the time they enter our practice until the time their pain is resolved. The staff in Greenwood is more of a family than cooworkers. We all work together as a team to get the job done. I would recommend this company to anyone. 

American Pain Consortium is a fast pace, high growth organization where everyone is both is encouraged and has responsibility to pursue excellence.

APC is a great company to work for! The leadership and other staff members are always so positive and helpful. The company also offers great benefits and has a lot of growth opportunities. I love that my job is very dynamic, and each day is different and never the same. My manager always sets clear expectations for tasks, projects, etc. and is always available to answer any questions I have. All employees I've interacted with are respectful and we care about each other.

Was hired for temporary staffing for summer vacation and maternity leave of staff. No job security. Staff and management at the Greenwood office were awesome. Was not guaranteed 8 hours of work. My pay rate that reflected my PRN status was less than adequate.

A typical day at work starts at a time that is best suited for me. I've learned that managers do care about your work/life balance and that they want what's best for you and the company together. The hardest part of the job is making sure you can keep up with everyone, but that's also the fun part of the job. Every day is a new challenge and a new adventure. Makes work interesting.
