Taking a job at America's Home Health Services (AHHS) was easily one of the worst decisions I've ever made.

As a new employee at AHHS, I received only about 7-8 hours of training and some hand-written notes to help me navigate through the company's software, which I had no previous experience with.  Little did I know that that's all I would get.  

I spent most of my time without direction or guidance, since management at AHHS is often offsite or working remotely.  You're forced to communicate with them via e-mail or phone much of the time.  Not an effective way to communicate or train, and certainly not an effective way to maintain office cohesion.

Then, after only two weeks, I was informed that my services were no longer needed and that I was being let go.  I was absolutely shocked.  When I inquired why I was being dismissed, I was told that I was expected to be "farther along in the process."  How is a new employee supposed to be "farther along in the process" with only bare-bones training and some scribbled notes?  How is a new employee supposed to learn policies and procedures when supervision is largely absent and unavailable?  

I regret ever applying for a job at AHHS.  I feel that they insulted me and completely wasted my time.  Chances are that they will do exactly the same to you.

A relevant sidenote: I discovered that all office staff were brand new, having been hired only a few weeks before I arrived.  It sounds as though AHHS has a habit of firing or driving people away.

Please DO NOT accept employment of any kind at AHHS.  Spare yourself the aggravation and seek employment with a company that will appreciate and respect you.  AHHS is simply not that company.

I wouldn't waste my time applying for this agency you can tell that they higher just about anybody. They'll tell you what you want to hear just to get you on board but really no work at all. Very unprofessional. No  benefits!! Poor accommodation.  You tell them that you can't be around smoke and yet they send you to clients that smoke. I don't understand how They want you to call them when you're running late Or if you're calling off ahead of time or with a issue and get attitude ,no one answers the phone then they lie to you and leave you with no work . Why keep hiring if there's no work. It's their fault why clients have issues with the caregivers. 

I was hired into a whole new developing department, recruitment. Since joining this team everyone has become like family. The owner is by far the nicest man I have encountered. I’ve worked for some companies and went my entire employment not evening knowing what the owner looked like. This company is different. The owner is involved. Our CEO also doesn’t hide out in an office. She’s involved. She’s there when you need her. I love having the opportunity to help applicants become caregivers each day. If you’re looking to join a friendly team, AHHS is where it’s at! 

I have been working with America's Home Health since January 2021. It is very refreshing being able to work with such a close-knit, group that works together as a team. Everyone is very nice and quick to assist when help is needed. Management is very encouraging and provides resources that are needed to succeed. I honestly believe that I have a bright future ahead of me with AHHS, and I'm looking forward to the experiences as they come. 

This company would rather struggle with the lack of employees rather than train anybody to do anything else. I love helping people but this company offers a minimal pay rate, no PTO, no paid holidays. The greatest thing about this company is the flexibility that’s offered. If I have to leave I’m able to and able to make up the hours. No personal time, no sick days, and no bonuses. I’ve never even gotten a raise. I don’t ever call out, I’m reliable… this company doesn’t care if you stay working with them or if you just quit. 

In the 10 years I've been a hha I have never come across a worse agency. The lie about pay and bonuses. There is absolutely no training and and they hire anyone. While working for the company I wasn't paid for an entire week, they tried to keep pay stubs so I wouldn't notice they were paying me 1.75 less than what was agreed, and they lied about raise and bonus. This place is absolutely horrible. There are so many better agencies to work for. Do yourself the favor and apply elsewhere!

I have worked for Americas Home Health  Services for 2 years now. By far is one of the best companies I have worked for. Everyone is very family oriented. I can say with certainty that is a very family oriented company. The superviser, CEO as well as the owner of the company do not hesitate to take your calls. They are very helpul and eager for you to become the best and suceed in the position you are in. I can surely say I am proud and happy to be part of this long journey of growth with a great team!!!

A typical work day would be opening the office, check fax machine from the night before, review documentation and priority list for the day. 

Answer calls in a professional and courteous manner, input new or change data into computer, file and sort medical records, and assist Office Manger with day to day activities.

My co-workers were very nice and we all got along great.

The most difficult part of the job was working with an owner who had major trust issues and who made one bad decision after another. He showed no appreciation to a staff who worked extremely hard and exhibited loyalty to no one.

The most enjoyable part of the job was building a cohesive team. They all took direction easily and worked hard. They found reason to laugh everyday.

I was called to help out with a shift for $2 Xtra dollars. And haven’t been paid yet. This is my second pay period without what was offered to me. And I did the favor on time. I feel like I was bribed of my time. You don’t your employees like that. You guys definitely lost a good employee that’s punctual & reliable.
