Communication is extremely poor. It can take days to a week or more to reach a director, and coordinators are very difficult to get in touch with—even during urgent situations. This makes it very stressful when issues come up.

There is a strong expectation that clients come before everything, including your own health and family needs, with little support from management.

Staff can be removed from cases without clear communication or acknowledgment, which feels unprofessional and unstable.

Pay is also inconsistent. Fill-in or temporary staff are sometimes offered higher rates than permanent aides, which is discouraging for those who are consistently working.

Advice to Management:
Improve communication with staff, ensure coordinators are accessible, and treat consistent employees fairly in terms of both respect and pay.

In the role that I was in there were a lot of medical terminology that you’re not taught, as well as no clear direction with lengthy processes that are controlled mainly by people you’ll never meet or speak with. I enjoyed not being micro managed but the outcome of not knowing how to complete your job without having to ask coworkers who are also in the dark, was not securing. The culture of the workplace is very one sided and if you’re not in the “in” crowd it is very unsettling. There was travel associated with my role, and compensation for travel was promised, but was not received until I complained a few times and threatened to not do that part of the job until compensated.

Anchor home health care! To me is one of the home care providers! To work for good people to work for .cordnators excellent very off plenty of work ur never with out a case to work ! If ur looking to work ! Love this agency 🙌

To me no stress if u want work they have work for u.simple as that.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The people who for this are form all different cultures! So far they seem to be team players however there r some bad seeds in the u can't get along with every one most of the people r cool.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Oh u pick a case and u see I u make out .if u like can keep the case or I'd it's not good fit u must let ur cordnator know in a timely manner.

This company has so many problems and management does not care.

There is no proper training and management is hesitant to answer questions directly. They will advise you to be dishonest towards patients; management only cares about their bottom line. Management will also advise you to lie on paperwork to state officials (DOH is constantly auditing their files). They also will not address concerns with you, if you cannot fix a problem on your own, they will not help. Other coordinators will not help you either, because their bonus is dependent on how much they can save the company.

The entire point of this company is to suck as much money as they can from state contracts; they do not care about their workers or their patients. Working there feels like you are constantly lying and hiding something.

No one answers the phones in any department you try to reach. Nor will they return a phone message, email or text. They always cheat you on the pay you are supposed to receive. And good luck ever receiving your accrued PTO. I requested PTO that I had available plenty of time in advance and never received it. And for covid sick pay they took my PTO for it even though they were not supposed to. They change your rate of pay if you tell them no about anything. They always come up with an excuse why they didn't pay you. I only stay because I really care about my patient and the family. But I wouldn't recommend this agency to anyone. And they lie about sign-on bonuses. You never receive the cash or the tablet they advertise about.

Loved working with the company my coordinator was always available and love the communication we had they even sent me a care package when I started working with them and if I had a problem they they always resolved it also with my client wish I could've stayed if it wasn't for the change of the ppl I would be willing to work with them again

Not getting my paycheck on time

The patients are lovely. I enjoy getting to know them & assisting their transitions. The families are gracious & generous with their loved ones time.

Constant turnover in staff indicates instability in leadership

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Too detail oriented. OCD & micromanaging supervisors have created fearful reactions from staff under them. It's one reason for the high turnover.  Training is too loose as well.

I like the work from home aspect. I set my own schedule &  move at a pace I like

I have been working as an HHA for this agency since they have opened, I have watched them grow and become stronger year by year. The hiring process was extremely smooth and quick, and HR's communications skills have been excellent. Coordination also has excellent communication skills. This agency is a great representation of teamwork. 
As far as pay, they have a higher pay rate than other agencies, as well as great benefits and weekly pay. I have referred several people to Anchor, and everyone is satisfied as well. They have also added on PCA/HHA classes free of charge! This gives everyone the opportunity to join this field. 

Having worked for this company there are so many issues. Coordinator don’t want to answer their phones many refuse to set up voicemail. Client complains they cannot contact coordinators. Management staff has no clue as to what each is responsible for and when asking question no one seems to be competent enough to answer them. When you have to call out on call coordinators DO NOT CALL BACK. If you don’t have the operators note that in your call out no one calls you back to ask why you cannot make your shift.

The coordinator needs to listen more to the aide. Stop making aide do things that they do not want. Like go back to certain patient homes.

Different, some culture  will work with you others will not work with you.

Start out early end up leaving late depending on the aide showing up on time or not at all.
