12 hr shifts, 3 days a week. Good pay with the potential for career advancement. I work PM shift which is 7pm to 730am. This consists of daily check ins with all clients, supervising any client movement within the building, BHT's on shift are responsible for any intakes that are scheduled since it's a 24/7 facility, there are required client room searches  as well as searching other highly used areas of the building. It's a huge building, facilitating activities on the weekends like movie nights or campfires, timely and accurate collaborative documentation, as well as observing and reporting any behavioral concerns to the clinical team. Most communication is done thru email and the emails are pretty constant. Communication is key. The admissions department works through their Florida office. One problem is the many promises that admissions makes to get people thru the doors. It causes some upset. However, There have been some recent upperanagenent changes that seem to be beneficial thus far. They are working on improving client care and just the general atmosphere so that it is more positive than punitive. The toughest part of this job is knowing that you won't be able to help EVERY client in the way that they need and it's hard watching them walk out the door when you know they need the help. We just hope that they return.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They expect their salaried employees to punch in and out for lunches, breaks and everything else. They don’t pay overtime to salaried employees but they will cut your pay if you have to leave early for your kid’s doctors appointments. The plan is to give every therapist 12 inpatient clients that have to be seen twice weekly for individual therapy plus any family session scheduled that week. They also expect therapists to do about 5 hours of groups per week. All that adds up to about 35 hours per week before you even start doing the detailed notes, treatment plans and clinical progress notes. They could care less if anyone complains. They will just tell you to quit if you don’t like it. That’s why they are on their 4th clinical director in six months. This is a startup rehab facility from a huge company called physicians dialysis. They decided there was $$ to be made in rehab so they started this company, which currently has only this one facility with plans to expand as soon as this facility starts showing a profit.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Other therapists and case managers are nice enough but management could care less if you are happy or not.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work from the time you walk in the door, eat lunch at your desk if you even have time, facilitate groups. See individual clients assigned to you. Try to somehow do all of the clinical paperwork required somehow within an 8 hour day.

My experience along with others was entirely negative. Working at Arista Recovery was one of the most toxic work environments I’ve ever experienced. The workplace culture was also toxic, with management consistently engaging in unprofessional practices and showing little to no regard for employee well-being. Management, particularly the current clinical director, demonstrated a complete disregard for employees’ well-being and professional development. Decisions were often made without consideration for staff input or impact, creating a culture of fear and instability.

There was absolutely no work-life balance—long hours, unrealistic expectations, and unreasonable demands were the standard, with no support or recognition for the hard work employees put in. 
The culture fostered stress and burnout, making it an unhealthy place to work. The lack of respect and professionalism made it clear that employees were not valued, leading to a high-stress and unhealthy workplace.

I strongly advise potential applicants to thoroughly research this company and consider whether this environment aligns with their values and priorities. For those who seek respect, fairness, and a supportive workplace, this is not the place.

I have been a proud member of the Arista Recovery team for over two years now, and I can confidently say that it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. This company has exceeded my expectations in many ways, making it a fantastic place to work.

What started out as my favorite job with excellent onsite Leadership, that supported our personal and professional growth opportunities . We were part of the team and had amazing support and our own H.R. , Leader and Mentor. These Leaders showed us how to have a voice and improve our program. We were truly making a difference in our clients lives. This wonderful job I loved quickly turned toxic as the demeaning and overcontrolling leadership from other states came in.  They took a program that was headed in the right direction and was gaining respect and had the opportunity to make a difference in the community. They pushed out the best leaders and mentors that even took the time to speak to clients to show they cared , Corporate listened to the wrong people and just pushed what was working and threw it out! The new onsite Leadership is demeaning, shows no care and no professionalism. Issues have been brought to their attention, they ignore and allow the terrible things to continue to happen. There is no respect for the clients or staff.

I once recommended this place to everyone to send their family and friends for treatment. I have not been able to do that since the new Leadership took over. 

As a therapist at Arista, I have experienced highs and lows. There has been a lot of transition as it is a start up company, and they are definitely still working out the kinks. However, I have had an overall positive experience. You have to be flexible and comfortable in chaos in order to thrive at a residential treatment program, this one included. That being said, this is truly the most supportive team I have been part of and despite the frustrations at times, the people I work with make it worthwhile, as well as the clients we serve. Current leadership is putting in the work to make the program a quality environment, for clients and employees. I believe they will continue to make changes necessary for continued improvement. Working with clients in substance use is such a fulfilling job. I feel the clinical team is super supportive of one another and passionate about the job we are doing. If you can be flexible and patient, this really is a great place to work among a great team that will support you and lift you up! 

Working for this company will quickly destroy your mental health. The leadership team, that was once amazing, is now full of controlling men and women who micromanage and do not pull their fair share of daily tasks. The majority of the leadership team do not live in the state, including the Director Of Nursing. 
There is no formal training for any position. Everyone shadows another staff member to “orient” them but that is all. You learn about benefits, the computer system and policies on your own. 
The communication with leadership is horrible. If you want any answers, you must add HR to the email. 
What started out as one of my favorite jobs, quickly turned into a nightmare of a job. My mental health declined quickly. The toxicity in this company is growing rapidly and until the common denominator is replaced, nothing will ever change. The CEO should do an overhaul of his leaders.
I would not suggest anyone work here or send loved ones here for treatment.

There is terrible upper management trying to run a hands on care facility for people in need purely by emails and phone calls from 5 different states. Nobody that started the company and is in exec/ administration actually cares. Their only goal is to open multiple facilities in multiple states in just a few years. It’s random business people making an investment in something they know nothing about. 
They do not care for employees, ideas, suggestions, or improvements. 
They sell lies to both employees and clients about how wonderful it will be there. 
In the month I was there, there was almost a full house cleaning of staff and client are more often than not leaving against medical and clinical advice. 
These people in need would rather go back out on their own than stay at this horribly run facility. 
It should be shut down and the upper management should go back to their real estate and cow farms and other occupations they had before they got a little money and decided they wanted to profit off of people seeking help. 

Arista Recovery started out as a great place. The in house management truly seemed to care and wanted to make a difference. Then, the corporate team came in and changed the entire culture. They seem to be more concerned about money than patient safety. The entire nursing staff quit within weeks of opening, leaving only agency staff with little to no training in psych or detox left. I would not recommend this company until they can hire in competent staff including a better MD and NP. Both are so green and have no experience to go off. They offer little support to nursing and BHT staff because they aren’t sure how to handle the sick patients aside from send them to the hospital.

There was so much drama and boundary crossing between patients and staff. It could be a great company, but there are way too many toxic employees currently.

I started with this company and was very hopeful that I would help make a difference for those within the facility and the community as a whole. However, the longer I work here the more tired and mentally drained I become. The admissions team who schedules intakes is in Florida and has a reputation for scheduling 3-8 intakes that will show up within 30 minutes of each other when we don't have the staff to support intaking that many clients at once. There is also a consistent issue of communication if you work closely with the clients. You will deal with all of the yelling and complaints from clients with no decision making power to solve the issue and a long response time before someone is able to make the decision for you (usually therapy or case management). There is never enough staff on site and it is near impossible to find coverage for a shift if you need to call out despite management stating that it will be easy to find coverage during my interview. I do not recommend working here.
