I honestly don’t know where to start. You get pumped up at 1st in Orientation but then once you start training it becomes sad and stressful. The training is horrible they rush you make you feel like horrible if you don’t get something right away and even worse when you ask for help. Same thing happens once you get on the floor in the call center. Started there January 2019 excited to start with a company since I have them as my credit union but quickly was grossly dissatisfied on how their call center is ran. You have 10 different supervisors telling you 10 different times in 10 different ways when you do something wrong. They act like they want to help you but they don’t. They belittle you when you ask a question and it is ran by some young mean girls. I’ve never worked at a worse company in my life. Unnecessary stress constantly. The owner and training department for orientation is great.  HR department is wonderful but their call-center environment is straight out of a horror movie. I couldn’t wait to leave. Only work there if you have no choice stay until you find something better which is pretty easy.

Was really excited to start working here, especially after how great the CEO is and the company overall. They make it a point to emphasize how happy everyone is there and how great of a work environment they have but as soon as i started my actual position it all went downhill. I work in the call center and this was my first ever call center job, you go through training for about 1-2 months and then they release you to phones afterwards. This has been the most mentally draining job i’ve ever had. And it’s not even really the member you help on a day to day basis. It’s more internal, like the supervisors, etc. Some supervisors are amazing and really make you feel like they are here to help and want you to succeed. Then there are others that make you feel dumb for needing help or asking certain questions. Sometimes just one of these encounters could ruin your entire work day. There is also communication issues i fear, I have been in a situation multiple times where i ask for help and the person helping me tells me the way i was “taught” is incorrect or vice versa. Nobody is on the same page EVER. 

This place seems good at first, they do make you aware the call center is crazy but that you will have a great amount of support to get you through it. Well thats not 100% accurate. Its stressful and can cause some anxiety. Some of the supervisors are very unprofessional and lack knowledge themselves of the position. They state that if you need help with a call to call a Supervisor, but when you do most of them walk up with an attitude and speak to you with a condescending tone. They micromanage A LOT! Will sit and listen to you speak and nit pick any little detail. The call center is first point of contact to all members. So for everything the call center has to do I don't think its enough compensation. I also believe they pay favorites to those who are available to work “full time” hours vs those who cant, even though you technically get hired as a part timer. The company itself is great, I just think it depends on what department you work for to enjoy working for Arrowhead.

I truly loved my time working at Arrowhead Credit Union. I had the opportunity to grow within the organization, moving through different positions at the branch level and eventually working at the corporate office in the lending department during Covid. That experience allowed me to learn so much and gain meaningful, hands on knowledge in both member service and lending operations.

What really stood out to me was the culture and leadership. There was a genuine commitment to developing employees and supporting growth from within. Leadership was approachable, supportive, and focused on doing what was right both for employees and for members.

Arrowhead truly cares about its members, and you can see that in everything they do. The focus on service, integrity, and community impact isn’t just talk  it’s part of the daily work environment. On top of that, the pay and benefits were competitive and reflected the value they place on their team.

Overall, it was an incredibly positive and formative experience in my career.

Too many inconsistencies as an organization.  Every branch is NOT on the same page, which is quite annoying for the members as well as the employees.  Back office does not work well with front office.  Sometimes they have an attitude and do not want to help.  Favoritism at certain branches and it is EXTREMELY noticeable.  The people that are favored make many mistakes and do not get written up for the mistake, but when someone else makes the same or a similar mistake it is written down in their review.  I have seen it happen with my own eyes!! Manager was very unprofessional!! Manager would talk to certain employees about other employees and would say "Do not tell anyone that I am telling you this."  At Arrowhead they treat the tellers like children, they do not give people an opportunity to grow and have some responsibility.  Pretty much everything needs to be run by the manager before it is done.

Working at Arrowhead Credit Union as a call center rep was one of the most dehumanizing job experiences I’ve had. The environment is heavily micromanaged — to the point where even using the restroom could negatively impact your adherence score. The adherence expectations are nearly impossible to meet and felt more like a tool for control than productivity.

The job turns you into a robot. You’re constantly under pressure, with little regard for your well-being. Most of the calls involved dealing with rude and aggressive members, and the lack of support from management only made it worse. Leadership, including the CEO Darin, seemed more focused on protecting the company’s image than looking out for employees. HR was less about helping and more about intimidation.

Unless you’re someone who’s great at office politics or enjoys brown-nosing, this isn’t the place for you. I wouldn’t recommend Arrowhead to anyone who values their mental health, autonomy, or being treated like a human being.

Monday-Friday schedudle with the occasional saturday work days. Arrowhead Gives 3 weeks of initial training, and always ensures that the employee has access to more experienced employees through chat. These chat windows are subtle ways to contact someone if you're not sure of a procedure and are on the phone with a customer.
The management team is a little hit and miss, with some that want to rule the office with an iron fist rather then an understanding sturdiness. But the people there are friendly, the vendors are always bringing in sweet treats and the overall atmosphere is professional and inviting. wonderful company to work for with lots of room for advancement.

As a member service rep II, I deal with everyday basic transactions. I am also trained in frontside operations which includes opening new accounts, wire transfers, creating, blocking and re-pining cards, inputting loans and funding them. I am also trained in the call center as well. I am currently a floater and service all 11 locations in any aspect. The hardest part of my job would be driving to all locations. The traffic some days can be a bear, on the flipside my most enjoyable part of my job would be my thirst to learn new things. I love to train and learn new policies and procedures. Everyday I can learn something new.

When you get hired it all seems too good to be true.  With time you come to realize that it is. Most managers are pretty awful. They are unknowledgable and always play favorites. Its all about personality. Fool the right people into thinking you are the friendliest and most outgoing person with members and you will go far does not matter if you do not know your line of work and are stupid as can be or are an awful person  in real life. All the great employees with knowledge and experience get looked over its only the two faces that move forward. Favoritism is a huge issue. Just play your cards right.

Merchant window, deposit and withdraw transactions, assisting safe deposit box custodian, helping ATM custodian, balancing cash at the end of the day, making sales for the month, make calls for new accounts and taking payments in for mortgage or car loans. Outside sales: setting up new account booths in lager companies/ selling and or start up checking or savings account to employees.  Develop new and existing business and consumer banking relationships by proactively soliciting new business from prospective clients and by contacting present clients to retain and expand banking relationships, to meet or exceed assigned monthly goals.
