Attentive Home Care

This is a great company to start off if your interest is in the medical world. The company is very flexible and will work with you if you need any arrangements done. My co-workers are exceptional, we all work as a team although we dont get to work together. Communication is essential in this job and all of them share the same need to help the patient the best we can.

For me, a typical day starts early in the morning. I arrive at my patient's home and I administer the morning medications. Few hours later my patient will wake up, vitals will be taken, and a shower will be given. Once out I will help my patient with dressing, hygiene, and skin care.

Later comes breakfast time and a nap will follow. Overall the flow of the day is pretty easy going, however it does require great responsibility to take care of an elderly person. Anything can go wrong during the day, the medications have to be administered within a timely manner and as directed by the patient's doctors. Many will have specifications that will need to be followed, like how much water they need to drink durign the day, what food they can or cannot eat, how much exercise they have to have each day and so.

One of the hardest parts of the job is the lifting and transportation, you have to be patience because some patients can't move very well and you will need to give them time to figure out where and how they will move. Some may look small and weightless, however they tend to get very heavy. You may start having back problems if the patient is not carried appropiately.

Another hard part of the job is dealing with their grief, elderly patients start feeling alone, forgotten, and some may have lost their love ones, which makes it even harder to deal with their loneliness. If they have lost someone you may hear them crying, and they can get mad at you, and start yelling even though you haven't done anything wrong. Patience is essential and being very understanding of their situation will help you get through the moment.

The best part of my job is the time I get to spend with my patient. We may go grocerie shopping, or to any store, out for a meal or drink, we may watch a movie, or even go out to the patio. This is quality time I love having becuase it gives me an opportunity to be with my patient and to hear from them. Some like to share their stories or experiences and that makes my day and my patient's day a real joy.

Great staff and coworkers. You job is based on communication, respect, ability to adjust to different personalities and be respectful. Ability for advancement once you prove yourself able to work well with others. 
      To me this is a very rewarding job in which I get to help others. And help them with quality of life mentally and physically. I have dealt with patients who just need companionship to patients with Alzheimer's. Like I said its a very rewarding job. If you don't like people this is  not the job for you. if you lack communication skills, this is not the job for you, and if you lack the ability to adjust this is not the job for you. If you need extra help they provide classes free for workers and the management really works with you in picking the right patients for you and making a good match.

Assist clients with ADL's, medication, showering, meal prep. Accompany client to appointments and errands.
I had little interaction with management because I would go straight to clients homes. 
The hardest part of the job is learning the likes and dislikes of each client, however, once I see a client more than once I can remember what their preferences are.  
The most enjoyable part of working here is being able to help others in a time of need. Getting to know people from different backgrounds and learning about them was also an enjoyable part of my job.

Flexible hours I could pick up as little or as many shifts as I wanted or needed at the time. Staff was very supportive with everything. They are very understanding one of the best companies I worked for . They never tried to rip me off or withhold information from me purposefully for there own personal gain in anyway. They were very respectful, and professional, always.

Is not guaranteed any type of fulltime case. Never know when that case might end with no money. They always have work just short cases at least 4hrs. Some workers are nice. Some have attitudes. The residents house for this company is not the cleaness. And i worked for alot of agencies before

All I can say, I hope this company will improve more more for better and fair salary to the caregivers. I hope the staffs will improve and have respects to the workers. I hope they will explain well all the information about the work anf benefits.

It is a good place to work if you're in school and looking for a flexible, part-time gig. The management team is professional, supportive, and willing to accommodate the aides. I've personally met the owners, they are very nice and humble. The drawback is that some of the assignments I had were more difficult than what I was compensated.

Worked here since 2020, I couldn't have gotten any luckier finding this job! They are the best! And I've worked for tons of different agencies! But they are so far my top 3! I never lost out on work always had plenty! And they always worked with my schedule. 

I only really liked working with one client and I still keep in contact with her today. we have become good friends. she had a small surgery and her family didn't want to leave her alone and they live far away so I just sat with her each day in the afternoon and we had lunch and we watch tv.

Only worked there for a short period of time.  They pay was low and they did not provide any education for the line staff.  No benefits provided to staff.
