My time at Aurobindo as a Pharmaceutical Processing Technician was bittersweet. I met some very good people, made some very professional connections, and HR was very understanding of my complaints about how management was doing. While I was assigned to do plenty of things outside of my job description, it was not the work that I had an issue with, rather the people leading the work.

My first few months spent within the manufacturing department was spent fixing a machine to work under the parameters they set, but had no clear instruction on where to find the parts. A large majority of my time spent there was used researching the machine parts on my own time and working with the engineering department to find fixes to this machine that the upper management had no idea how to fix. It was very frustrating that there was no one in these higher positions that knew how even their first machine functioned and that there were no documentation or archived manuals for this machine. Most of it was me spending time on Google and speaking with the engineers if certain things were possible to even allow this machine to run. 

Out of the 3 supervisors within the manufacturing departments, only one was approachable with questions and only he was on the floor with us, learning the processes himself to further be able to help his peers and those within his department. This same supervisor would also come in at the same time as the employees and be there to brief us first thing in the morning. The other 2 supervisors were very dismissive with questions and showed no signs of experience within the biopharmaceutical field, despite boasting about their achievements and years of experience. They also seemed to think themselves above everyone, as they often showed up to work 2 hours later than the other supervisor and even some of the upper staff. They also spent a little extra time after their already hour long lunch to just sit in a car and talk.

When I was an employee, I had the opportunity to assemble and learn a particular machine from the ground up. It was a great experience. I also had the opportunity to train two others on how to use the machine. Shortly after, they were let go while I remained the sole process technician within my department, and the only one in the facility that knew how to operate the machine. They brought onboard a new supervisor around that time, who boasted 10 years of biopharmaceutical experience and said that he knew how this machine worked.
It was very quickly and abundantly shown after that this was no more than bravado, and that he had no idea what he was doing in the slightest. The SOP he wrote tells you nothing about the safety protocols, operational protocols, or the cleaning protocols for this particular machine; All things that I brought up to him each time he brought me a revision to review. This was further proven to the point that when I left this company, associates of mine that stayed for a while longer told me that they no longer use that machine because no one else knew how to properly operate it. Even more proof was when he decided to run a test batch, he would instruct me to take steps that were NOT within the automation parameters because he knew I had administrative access to the Maintenance Mode of the machine. This exacerbated the process and turned a 12-hour shift into a 17-hour shift. Afterwards, he had the nerve to ask if I was coming in the next day.

The straw that broke the camel's back, however, was the very blatant lie that they told about me and a colleague during my final weeks before I quit. 
That same supervisor informed me that "someone filed a complaint" against me and said colleague that we were "spending too much time in the cafeteria". Which, not only is ironic, but if you were to pull up video footage of every day of every week during my lunch break, you would see that I was not there/always made my way to the locker room within 30 minutes. I saw this and still see this as a very immature practice and a very unprofessional way to kick some sand onto someone's boots. 

SOPs and cGMP was often ignored by some staff until auditors were on site. I've seen plenty disregard for general safety in my time there and also shortcutting around certain processes. They cut plenty of corners when it came to manufacturing and often neglected safety conditions of operating some machines simply to get the process done. 

Super long story short: I saw this experience as something good to learn and get started with the biopharmaceutical field, but the supervisory staff and upper management were very immature and unprofessional. If you're looking for a professional environment, this is most definitely not it. I highly recommend searching for a different, more established pharmaceutical experience.

Chemist – Quality Control Lab
Prepared Bio Samples documents for Regulatory group. Routed testing of finished products assay, dissolution, chromatography purities and moisture.
• Supported the filling of three Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDA) submissions by creating stability summary reports within three-month dead line.
• Trained employees on the use of stability database software, increasing efficiency.

PLIVA INC. (Formerly Sidmak Lab Inc.,) East Hanover NJ 1984 – 2005
Supervisor, Analytical R&D Lab
Coordinated and supported Research & Development Production with releasing of Certification of Analysis. Prepared files for regulatory to send to the FDA for application of new products. Supervised staff of seven relating to stability samples.
• Monitored Stability database by tracking and updating the status on a weekly basis.
• Entered new samples information in the database, prepare labels and gave samples to lab technician to put them in chambers according to stability protocol.
• Managed all project related development activities and timelines.
• Managed all project related development activities and timelines.
• Assist in the compilation and review to FDA requests.
• Generated summary tables for all stability samples to support regulatory for filing.
• Prepared Bio Samples documents and send them to Regulatory department.
• Initiated Notice of Investigation for Out Of Specification results and tracked Notice of Investigation and reports while preparing draft preliminary reports for Out of Specification investigation.
• Trained other analysts regarding the operation of equipment and performing of new methods and analytical techniques.
• Provided expertise, guidance, and training to junior staff scientist.
• Managed all training files of analytics group.

Hard work is recognized!
Great benefit plan.
Good management team in Aurobindo and Auromedics. Aurolife should consider a better leader, but work is steady and good. 
Truly customer focused.
Excellent growth for organization and the more they grow the more things are added for employees (better benefits, higher percentage increases than industry).
Good Warehouse team. Good HR team and good CEOs of Aurobindo and Auromedics are both good leaders; they both care about employees as much as customers. 
If you work hard, you are recognized and rewarded. Not a lot of levels between CEO and entry level, so you can stand out and not be 'just a number' here. 
Nice picnics (families invited) and holiday parties.
Work hard, play hard! Good place to work.

• Reviewed data in notebook for API, Bio studies, Finished Products, Stability, Calibration of Instrument and Method Development & Validation of Various Products.
• Reviewed Stability summary reports of various products.
• Monitor due dates of all Instruments and log books.
• Managed all training files, documents file, books, protocols & reports of analytical group.
• Reviewed all reconciliation log book for control substances.
• Prepare change control for standard operating procedure and Instrument which required changes.

1.) Typical Day starts with Entering the cases(clinical/Post-marketing) and (serious/non-serious) into the Safety database.
2.) Working on Narratives(Clinical/Spontaneous) depending on the cases assigned.
3.) Very cooperative and employee friendly management with good back support.
4.) Supportive and jovial yet hard working coworkers.
5.) Safety is highly regulated but keeping up to date with the legislation and how it is being interpreted by industry and the various regulatory authorities is a challenge.
6.) Almost all the aspects of my job was enjoyable, especially the end to end case management is a lot fun to work with.

If you are looking to clock in, collect a paycheck, and mentally check out, this place might suffice. However, if you care about professional growth, look elsewhere.
​The most glaring issue is the complete lack of upward mobility; positions are stagnant, and there is no clear path for advancement. This stagnation is fueled by a profoundly disorganized management style. The daily workflow feels like constant, chaotic firefighting.
To make matters worse, new hires are thrown straight into the deep end because there is no structured training system in place. You are entirely on your own to figure things out. It is a highly stressful, dead-end environment that I cannot recommend.

I've been with this company for about 2 1/2 years. Since the beginning I have learned a lot about pharmaceutical medications, FDA regulations, and mostly safety. the heardest part of the job is going home. This company's main concern is their employees safety. This specific plant in Utah is still growing and has the potential to grow bigger. AUROBINDO is a huge worldwide company and is very successful being one of the top producer and distributor of generic medicine, which means job security. As the company grows there is new regulations, new rules and new processes but that comes with every growing company.

M/s. Aurobindo Pharma is one of the best industry for any employee  at any stage like start up to VP level.
M/s. Aurobindo is one of the best plat form for freshers to learn and to grow.

There are good, smart people who work there.  Unfortunately, they are not the ones making decisions affecting your career path.  HR is extremely unprofessional (talks about employees to other employees), plays favoritism, and there are major illegal activities found if you search the company.
Also, no work from home option, even during a State of Emergency.
Good luck obtaining a laptop to assist with your work.
