Please, do not waste your time getting a job here. The new management is HORRIBLE and since they've been through so many executive directors, they're doing anything to keep this new one and she is the WORST... by far. She has the biggest attitude & makes herself to be very unapproachable, does not introduce herself to you but rather walk by and glare at you. She does not care to get to know any of the residents, employees OR their families. She talks to coworkers in such an unprofessional and degrading tone as If she's better than everyone else. the turn over rate is so bad but its mainly because of who they have running the place. What's worse is that MANY concerns were brought to higher management and they've done absolutely nothing about it & really don't care to. Concerns were brought by the employees and even residents' family members. They are so under staffed, they're firing people for no reason and not having coverage for their shifts but expect the rest of the employees to work doubles and everyday with no time off. Staff is extremely over worked and you can tell who doesn't care about their job and who truly does. Don't believe in what they tell you, they make it seem like such a great place to be and that they'll treat you right, its NOT TRUE. They don't care about their employees what so ever. They hire anyone without giving them the proper training to care for their residents and 75% of the time, you'll be working doubles because 3rd shift rarely shows up on time. Eventually you'll get your certifications but it'll take a while and when you do, take those and get a better job!

Working with people with dementia can be challenging but it’s very rewarding to make a difference in their lives. The connections I make with the residents and families are why I do what I do. 
The management team (Executive Director, Nurse and House Manager) are super supportive, passionate and genuinely care about our residents and team. Our Executive Director is an exceptional leader that made Azura Oak Creek what it is- A great place to work! Our E.D. sees potential in her team and makes opportunities for growth. Anyone who has an issue with our management team simply is not doing their job and can not maturely handle correction and accountability!!!
There is always a high turnover rate in healthcare and when you add dementia in the mix, it’s a whole new ballgame. Some people are not cut out for the challenges associated with dementia. We bend over backwards to train and mold our team to Azura’s standards. Our core team rise to the challenges and go above and beyond to help outside of their job roles and pick up shifts when needed to help our residents and team. That makes me proud to work here!

At first walking in it seems to be a place that really cares about the residents and looks clean and neat. They hire caregivers with no experience and then they have those ones with bad habits or very little experience train the new caregivers. After 3 days of not very good or organized on the floor training they leave you to work alone and sometimes that is overseeing 20 residents at a time. They don’t respect your free time and always call when you are off to come in. I understand it is their job to make sure to have people come in but to get asked multiple times in one day to come in is not ok, I was told by another caregiver she was asked to do a triple shift. I’m not sure they have a starting rate because they were paying people who started at the same time 3 dollars less than myself. I think it was purely because they didn’t know what they should’ve expected for compensation and said a low number which I think isn’t a great practice. Have a base then pay people more for years of experience. 

I am incredibly grateful and honored to serve as the Executive Director of Azura Brookfield. The level of support and encouragement I receive in this role has far exceeded my expectations. From day one, I have felt truly valued—not just as a leader, but as an integral part of a compassionate and driven team. The positive culture at Azura Brookfield is undeniable, and it’s deeply fulfilling to see how team morale consistently remains high.

It is especially rewarding to witness the genuine passion my colleagues demonstrate in their roles, and their dedication to providing exceptional care. I feel fortunate to be part of such a dynamic and supportive culture, where personal and professional growth are encouraged.

I am going on my second year working at azura and i can honestly say it makes me feel good that when outside people come like the ambulance or visitors come that they tell us it smells good in azura compared to most facilities. Azura always strives to meet all the residents needs and work together even if something goes wrong we still work together. I love that we appreciate each others work by writing core values to make each other feel welcomed. Azura is somewhere I’d trust my loved one. The bad reviews are prob from the lazy people who couldn’t simply follow their assignment. (Which is pretty much common sense) its laid out for you what to do. Stay off your phone and do your assignment and spend time with the residents. Dont get a caregiver job if you dont care nor give attention to the residents. This is CAREGIVING. You care and give. If thats too much to ask for then walmart still hiring people to stand at the door and act like they checking your receipt.

i have worked at Azura for a rumber of years and love it.  The Team is great and totally into making our residents day.  We work together to engage them in smiles and support each other.  We have time to have fun, but still get a lot done.  Azura really strives to put the residents first, which I love!!  Their MOSAIC training really helped me understand dementia and how to make the best moments happen for our residents.  The ratio of residents to caregivers is low and while we take of those with dementia, it is still a place where I feel I make a difference and that the company cares about me.  The send out birthday cards and give out awards.  It's a great place to work and I would recommend to everyone.  The hardest part of my day is leaving and of course saying goodbye to my residents, but the best part is coming back and seeing their smile.

I have worked for Azura for over 10 years and I can honestly say they are the top of the line for companies that specialize in caring for individuals with memory difficulties. The upper management and owner of the company truly bends over backwards to reward their employees and encourage them to succeed. The resident's are a joy and Azura's innovative approach towards dementia care is refreshing and sets the residents up to live the best quality of life that they possibly can.  I would place any of my family members in their care in the future if needed.  I feel respected and appreciated every day. I plan to work for Azura for may more years and I look forward to advancing with the company as those years go by.  If you want a rewarding job in memory care- this is the job to have. 

A typical day at work involves reviewing caregiver notes to determine if any residents need to be assessed that day, confirming provider orders helping to facilitate their implementation, and staying current on assessments as required by regulations. Nursing works closely with facility directors to improve resident outcomes. I have learned the important role this type of facility plays in providing care and improved quality of life for residents with memory issues. The facility I work at has a family atmosphere amongst the staff. The hardest part of the job was transitioning from an acute care setting to a less intensive environment. The most enjoyable part is those moments where you recognize your impact on the residents.

I have worked in healthcare for many years, the last 6 of those in management roles. I sought out employment with Azura because of all of the positive feedback I had heard about them as a company. I am thrilled to say that after 6 months in my Assistant Director role with them, I am not disappointed. Azura is family-owned company that takes their values seriously and truly cares about their employees and residents. They don't just have a mission statement; they integrate their mission and values into everything that they do. They make a point to recognize a job well done and are always on the lookout for ways to improve the lives of their employees and residents. It is so refreshing to work with a company that is doing it right!

Caregiving is a hard but very rewarding job! Everyday is a new day and staff are willing to teach one another. There is a lot of educational opportunities with Azura and they look at promoting within if you put forth the effort! Just like any job, they try to watch overtime but this also helps support work/life balance. Caregivers are usually working with six residents but have help from other team members and have seen management help as well when needed. Management does write up employees but they also want to make sure they acknowledge good staff and people who get wrote up...there is a reason for it. Nobody wants to see bad staff stick around which is nice to see. It’s been a great company to work for!
