They hired multiple ppl for the same position while lying to everyone about it. Never give you a straight answer about your positions. If you can’t cover on your day off or work
double/triple shifts, they change your schedule to super random crazy hours. Pay sucks, and they change your hourly rate without saying anything. Harass you into going in and working extra shifts. Only care about having a “body” on the floor, do not care about their residents or the level of care they need/deserve. If you care at all about having a life outside of work, do not work gravyard shift, nobody will cover if you have any need to call in and you will be forced to cover shifts multiple times a week. So understaffed it isn’t even funny. All admins care about is making the most money they can while employees make as little money as they can get away with paying. Residents pay minimum of 6k a month and workers can’t even make a livable wage. Worst assisted living home I’ve ever worked for, your not a person to admins, they do not care about you, your needs, medical issues, family, nothing. If you plan on applying here, just know they do not care about their employees at all. Do not apply here if you have a family. You will only move up here if you have no other obligations or goals in life other than to work 12+ hours a day with one to no days off a week. 

This was a great place to work where I learned the value behind loving and understanding the patients. My assistant manager at the time put a lot of effort in teaching everyone that the best way to view the job was by viewing the clients as who they are, someone’s child, someone’s parent, someone’s sibling, and not just viewing them as an obstacle to reaching our paycheck. However, even the most dedicated caregivers received little support where they needed it. Two person assist patients were actively lifted by a single person because managers were resistant to helping and would often “hide” in the office on their phones. When caregivers tried to help each other on two person assists they got in trouble because “two people shouldn’t be in the back room at the same time with no one on the floor” even though the manager should have counted as being on the floor. Then when the manager went home for work it just perpetuated the same problem because they were so against hiring more staff. This kind of lifting with no aid can permanently damage your spine/muscular health, employees regularly had back and muscle injuries from lifting unaided and management just could not be bothered. 

Anyone can work there with or without previous experience as a resident care aid or CNA which doesn't always work out so well. Not enough staff on the floor to do everything that is on the job description such as assisting the resident with daily needs, meds, cooking, bathing, making sure both the dining room and kitchen are cleaned, cleaning the residents rooms, laundry, taking the garbage, helping with groceries, making sure incident reports are being done, making sure the nurse knows when meds are to be refilled if not your at fault or if meds are late staff is still at fault, making sure family is being notified of changes, and more. All of these duties are shared between the resident care aid and house manager that's on shift. The management team sucks!!!!! There is a lot of bickering back and forth, miscommunication, personal life interfering with work which results in poor care of residents (late meds). The nurse sucks too!! She is very bossy and believes she's in charge. The nurses from other agencies are way nicer. This facility needs a major change and tone.

Sometimes there were snacks in the break room. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management was toxic and they micromanage everything. Medication time slots were not reasonable and they would not hesitate to belittle and shame you for mistakes. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic and fast paced. There are mandatory breaks that you have to take or else your pay will get docked anyway. You have to clock out for breaks but still technically be on the floor in case of anything happening but you don't get paid for it. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go to work at 5:45 am, do shift change, pass medication, wake patients up and get them down to breakfast, finish medications, gather laundry, clean up all the dishes, sweep dining room, wash tables, clean half the rooms with one or two being deep cleaned, toilet patients, take a break at some point, help get lunch out, pass more meds, clean up from lunch, toilet patients, chart, and do shift change at 2.

A typical day at work was long and full of unexpected adventures.  The employee was usually on their feet for the full eight hours while being on the clock.  Administering medications, providing ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), cooking, cleaning, and paperwork, lots of paperwork, were required everyday.  Most of the time, you get called in, or a placed on call, which means you were going to get called anyways.  Management had a difficult time handling the house responsibilities and doing the typical every day duties, which is why someone was always called.  Other employees were great, but some had a hard time doing their shift responsibilities, so that meant more work for the next person. Hours would get cut if you upset the manager, and a lot of gossiping and drama.  The best part of the job was the enjoyment of being there for the elderly when they needed a smile brought to their face, or just a hug because they are thankful for what you do for them.  Taking care of dementia patients is very demanding, but very worth it.

I used to work here earlier this year and workplace culture isn’t good, they have high turnover rate nobody ever stays here long enough. And they also expect you to train new hires every month with no incentives . It was draining training someone new over and over that's a job itself! The pay is so low for the work you do, this job should require a minimum of 16 dollars at the least. House managers don’t stay here long enough because of the stress of the job itself. This job is stressful and you’re stuck doing extra work making up for less employees. It suck for the residents have to meet new employees and get used to their way of doing things when they should have a good relationship with steady long-term employees. That’s not good for residents either! Manager doest care for concerns at all. This facility need licensed CNA's and certified med techs! Not under the table workers with no experience its just a get way to pay less!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Everyone is friendly and respectful. The place is beautiful and the owner's are very nice. Good place to work. Family members appreciate us and always give us compliments of how great we are, of caring, for their love one's. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Its not really stressful at all. You do expect to work as soon as your shift starts. they're always something to do. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Beautiful and clean at all times! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I come in and do my rounds, toilet the residents. I tidy up their rooms before my shift ends. I give showers to whose on the list. We help set up beverages and bring residents to meals. They are about 10 residents per staff, But we help each other with transfers and care. I like this place. I know what my job is when I come to work and I do it well. My boss and Nurse compliments my performance. The nurses and the owners are very helpful.

I'll cut to the chase, by saying that this facility is no different from several other residential homes in which are run poorly. The managers have their favorites, and if you're not one of them? You mean nothing. Imagine that. This just goes to show that residents do NOT come first to these in charge, because to them its not the quality they are about. It's the profit they make. I really thought that this place was going to be different, however, during their (after work - parties) your personal life would be a topic of discussion and so would your employment status. I do not recommend anyone to apply for this company, as you will be soon dissatisfied and soon replaced. They do not follow their own protocol, and will continue to let things slide "if you're the right person." I was employed for two months, and then my employment came to an end abruptly with no fair warning or discussion that my job was so-called in jeopardy. My advice is to keep looking for something better because this is not it.

When you go in for an interview, it’s happy smiles management acts like it’s a wonderful place to work family atmosphere if you wanna be stabbed in the back work 17 hour days work every holiday get awful pay  not be told there’s infectious disease  that you can catch until you’ve been there for five years Work at Beehive. you don’t get appreciated or any positive encouragement or anything wonderful for doing tons of overtime u work  your self sick .and being there for a long period of time. No job security management is a joke if you have emergency with a anbseive resident  that hits u or hurts you it is your fault.going on prepared to deal with that on your own by your boss is either on vacation or in the gym. Only wonderful about the job was the residence and their families. Worst home I have ever worked in.

I learned a lot about how to deal with patients with dementia and Alzheimer's. I also learned how to change a colostomy bag. I was with the residents almost all day when I worked, and I loved being there for them to talk to, and help them with whatever they needed. The manager was really fun and kind and helped me get as many hours as I could. She was really flexible and helpful with time off if I needed it. My coworkers all knew how to do their jobs, everyone was kind and treated the residents with respect. The hardest part of the job was losing a resident that passed away or had to move to a higher level home. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to know the residents and their stories that they loved to share. They were so kind and made stressful days better. It was a wonderful work environment and I would still be working there if I did not move to Georgia.
