A typical day involves collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals to support individuals with behavioral and learning challenges. We focus on implementing personalized learning strategies, tracking progress, and continuously adapting our approach based on each client’s needs. The most challenging aspect of the job can be managing situations that require immediate intervention, especially when working with individuals who have intense behavioral issues. However, these moments are also where the most growth occurs.

This job is rewarding in more ways than one. The work I do with my clients, makes me feel like I'm making a difference with the progress I see. Every day can be different which can be great. Other days may not be good, and it happens, but the support and training I've recieved helps navigate through those days to make them better.

Along those lines, I have never felt so supported by other staff. My supervisors always respond to my questions in a timely manner and make me feel confident in the work I do(especially in my first few months). There is ongoing supervision from supervisors or QIC team, to ensure we are doing a good job or help us get better. HR is accommodating to your needs and is always open to feedback to make things better. 

Your schedule can take a hit with school breaks, or if a student is sick, but coverage opportunities can come up.

In my experience, the company as a whole has been transparent and encourages growth, which doesn't leave me feeling like I'm just an employee.

This job was my first time working in ABA, and the owner personally teaches you everything you need to know in order to succeed in the field. During orientation you will learn about what type of population you’ll be working with, as well as how to manage their behaviors appropriately. The company provides you with the training you need in order to apply for your RBT license. 

Personally for me the best part about working here is working with children and seeing their progress. It’s also nice that when hired you are able to give them your availability and they will work around that so I was finally able to have weekends off! 

For work environment you are mostly only interacting with your clients and direct supervisors. Which to date have all been very helpful and are quick to respond when you need them. 

The only drawback is that there is a shortage of hours during the summer, but other then that depending on your availability you can possibly work full time. 

I've been with BLN for a few years now, and I have grown more personally, and professional than i could have ever imagined. When you spend 30-40hrs a week at a job, I wanted to be a part of a company that made a difference in children's lives, and provided employees with support and guidance to provide medically necessary treatment. BLN exceeded my expectations. Behavior Technicians are provided with 2-weeks intensive training, before going into the field. Supervisors are provided with extensive on-boarding training, and monthly individual and  group supervision meetings to connect and collaborate. Lastly, BLN has gone above and beyond to safely provide in-home services to children during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is beyond comforting to know that a company invests in protective equipment for direct staff, implements protective protocols, and abides by County, State, and CDC guidelines for best practice. If you want to grow professionally in the field of ABA, further your education, and invest in a company that cares about you and the children they serve, BLN is the place to work. 

They do NOT fairly compensate you for your time. Last minute cancelations will leave you unpaid for your time, gas and session. It's basically your problem, not theirs. It happens pretty often too. Even if they know that you have a canceled session in advance, they wont tell you until the day of and it could be an early day session. They will also schedule you for meetings outside of your working hours without asking, it'll just already be on your schedule for you to find. They seem to have a pretty high turn over rate based on my personal experience and talking with others who used to work there, but they sign you into a contract to try avoiding this by making you pay $1000 to break the contract before working 13 months or you can sign over your final paycheck. I could go on, but the point is that I do not recommend working for this company. A couple positives that I will add is that I really enjoyed the families that I worked with and I will miss the children, also you work with multiple supervisors and I did have one great supervisor that was amazing to work with. 

I've only been with BLN for about two months now, but so far I'm incredibly satisfied with the work that I do. Work/life balance is not only preached, but encouraged. I have an extremely reasonable caseload for the field (12-13 clients, with the majority in LAUSD so that takes up my mornings) and then the rest are in-home. But I definitely have the ability to control my schedule, and that's a big plus for me. I ADORE both my immediate supervisor, his supervisor, and her supervisor. They are very friendly, approachable, and knowledgable in areas that I'm not, so there's a good balance. Management definitely has an open door policy, and the Halloween potluck was a hoot and a half. 

I had a positive experience working with Behavioral Learning Network. The staff was professional, supportive, and genuinely focused on helping children reach their developmental goals. Therapists communicated clearly with families and worked closely to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs. The environment felt structured but also caring, which helped children feel comfortable and engaged during sessions. I appreciated the consistency in scheduling and the effort the team made to maintain progress tracking and regular updates. Supervisors were approachable and willing to provide guidance, especially for new team members. While the job can be demanding at times due to the nature of behavioral therapy work, the overall mission of supporting children’s growth makes it meaningful. I would recommend Behavioral Learning Network to families seeking ABA services as well as to professionals looking for experience in the behavioral health field. Overall, a very supportive and growth-oriented organization with impact.

Working at Behavioral Learning Network has been a great step forward in my career. The flexible scheduling allows for a real work-life balance, which is rare in this field. The training is thorough and ongoing, and supervision is consistent and meaningful. There’s a strong focus on making sure staff feel prepared and supported. The administrative team handles logistics efficiently, which lets me stay focused on my clients. Team culture is collaborative, and leadership is genuinely open to feedback—when I’ve had suggestions or concerns, they’ve been addressed thoughtfully and often lead to positive changes.  Regular mentorship and training from legends in the field.  Super fun team building activities like Nobu Malibu.


BLN is an incredibly supportive company that fosters and encourages clinical and personal growth!  Not only do they facilitate trainings with some of the top experts in our field to ensure clients are receiving the best treatment, but they provide a model of support for supervisors that focuses on achieving individual and personal goals for growth.  BLN differs from most ABA agencies I've seen in that they ALWAYS strive to do better and avoid remaining stagnant.  They collaboratively and consistently take feedback from all members of their teams in order to improve systems and ensure that they are creating the best possible environment for their employees.  BLN is the place to be if you want to make a meaningful difference for your clients and become the best clinician you can be!!!!
