I didn’t like how the what would talk badly about some customers who where elderly and if they did t like someone they were fake and downright rude. I didn’t like how favoritism was shown. It looks like a great place to work but that was deceiving and I’m sure other former employees had been treated wrongly as well. I also didn’t like that they billed two people for one persons hearing aids through anthem FEP pretty sure that insurance Fraud. Some people that work there seem to be so nice and kind and caring but they are just about sales and getting their money numbers up. I think the business overall stands for a good cause to help people hear better that’s not what I mean. What I mean is insurance fraud, bad mouthing customers and being falsely accused is not what I’m about and that’s why I would advise not to work for Beltone and especially no to sending my mom or my dad or my grandmothers or grandfathers we won’t be a customers with Beltone. I’m pretty sure when more people catch on they should be shut down for insurance fraud. 

I have never had a job I liked this much. The HCP I work with is the nicest, most genuine person. We work very well together and have fun.
There is always something new to learn. My Supervisor is the absolute best. She is very supportive and always available to help with any questions or concerns. The hardest part of the job for me is dealing with calling insurance companies but that is only because I don't like how difficult it is to get a human. I think the hard part for some would be you have to have very good attention to detail and ability to multitask. You have to be self motivated because there isn't anyone there to tell you to get back to work which I personally like since I work better on my own.
It is very rewarding building relationships with the patients and seeing their excitement when they get their new hearing aids in and they can hear again after not being able to for so long.

Manage 5 other service centers outside the main office. Heavy on customer service and phone calls. Make appointments for the HCP for patients with hearing problems. Set up all files with all the patients information. Contact the insurance companies to verify insurance benefits. Download all contract information into Beltone software. Place orders for hearing aids. Telemarketing 80-100 calls per day. Order batteries and maintain battery report for inventory. Reconcile A/R report and balance petty cash every day. I have learned to work well with hearing impaired patients. This requires patience and knowledge. Management has a very good training program. The HCP and myself are the only ones in the office, and we maintain an atmosphere of professionalism. Sometimes placing telemarketing calls can be challenging, but I don't think of it as being hard. I enjoy interacting with different groups of people.

I usually work from home 2 days per week as a set schedule.This was a great benefit for me as my commute could be up to 2 hours per way. 12 hours of commuting 3 days a week is very difficult but the work from home benefit was very helpful keeping up my work/life balance My day starts with checking all communications via email and start resolving any issues I may find in all 5 of our systems.Prior to new management the workplace was very team oriented and everyone worked very well together. Management recently changed which drastically changed the culture of the work environment almost eliminating work life balance. The hardest part of my job was my commute and lack of advancement. I very much enjoyed the friendships built over the years with dispensers and fellow employees.

Multiple people on management and HR have been fired. If you put in your resignation you will be fired on the same day as you put in your notice. Expect to do the work of 5 people once you get hired, covering multiple office and phone calls. Hopefully you’re lucky to work with a respectful HCP to make the work environment better. There is no room for advancement unless you are the favorite. Opportunities are only given to you if you make the most money at the special events that cause so much stress. Selling hearing aids, cold calling, marketing. The training is non existent and when you ask for help you’ll hear crickets. Meetings every week. Micromanaging all the time. This company cares about money, not you or your time put in. Expect to schedule appointments, clean the office, order supplies, call insurance companies & patients and the dreaded events every month. Make sure you are paid what you are worth if you work here because you will be pushed to your limit.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
office politics, the managers disruptive and unpredictable behavior made the job impossible. although sympathetic there was No support from management.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
very upbeat on training videos. But difficult to apply training in time frame and office setting provided. Constant online meetings and goal, motivational and sales reminders by multiple corporate managers and leaders throughout the day made it very stressful for a new employee.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
open store. attend online meetings, while engaging customers and answering phone calls. scheduling patients and following up on insurance information on a system that was very antiquated, time consuming and inaccurate

Beltone was very monotonous, dealing with the same situations everyday. 

I learned how to communicate and sympathize with patients due to struggles with hearing loss and other issues pertaining to the aging process.

Management seemed to be very self-serving and not necessarily focused on the well-being of their employees, but rather, their bottom line.

Workplace culture was pretty neutral. There wasn't excessive amounts of comraderie, however, there were times that co-workers didn't seem to have many interactions.

The hardest part of the job was adapting to dealing with the elderly population and being able to meet their needs in a way that left them feeling taken care of and truly satisfied with the service and the product.

The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that you were able to make a difference in someone's life. Understanding that the aging process can be debilitating and defeating.

My workday is very slow which does not fit well with my fast-paced mentality. The bosses are very accommodating and there is not a lot of brow beating, however, the traffic and income streams that were promised are non existent. This makes it very difficult to not lose heart or motivation and while business is still technically in start up, there should be more opportunities to sell as well as having a product I believe can sell itself, which I currently do not feel is the case. All co-workers are great, management is very laid back, however, there will be no advancement opportunities as this is a family owned business with a very low ceiling.

I wanted a data entry job and I got all that and more. I didn't want a sales job. I didn't want an office manager job. I didn't want a janitors job. With the PCC position, in my office, I was required to learn all about the new and upcoming products so that I could pitch them to be customers over the phone. I was advised to clean the office daily, scoop snow from the sidewalks and salt them (even though we actually paid a service to do that), and I was in charge of ordering ALL supplies the office needed i.e. toilet paper, wax filters, domes etc...

Overall not what I had wanted. There was also very little on the job training, it was all on Beltone U. Eww.

The training was outstanding, they made sure you had all the tools needed to do your job safely and efficiently 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It was a salary / commission position, but very rewarding. There of course were occasionally some patients that were difficult but that is with any service industry 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Usually just myself and the Office Manager. You had to have a strong relationship due to depending on them for billing and scheduling 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Doing hearing tests on clients, fitting hearing aids and repairing hearing aids. Cleaning and recalibrating when needed.
