The legal field can be daunting and has little room for error. Its not for the faint of heart. Finding the right staff that understand the complexity and importance of what we do at Berg is not always easy. Berg is dedicated to providing its staff the tools and training necessary to offer excellent service to its clients; but its up to the individual employee to be willing to take advantage of that opportunity. Berg also offers many financial incentives to its employees and makes a conscious effort to provide a team work dynamic where staff can give/receive regular feedback and mentoring. Berg encourages its staff to have a vested interest in the firm, and offers room for growth and employee participation when creating new policies and procedures. No doubt those at Berg will work hard, (often pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zone ) but there will also be work/life balance and a supportive camaraderie unlike no other.

I have worked as a Case Manager at Berg Injury Lawyers for a number of years.  I have found that there is flexibility for illness, family emergencies, and being present at my kids' daytime events.  I came into the firm as a Case Manager, but I have seen many coworkers  advance and grow within the firm, starting in Reception and ending up as Case Openers, Case Manager Assistants, and Case Managers.  The benefits provided are great (100% medical, dental, vision for employees) and we can earn various bonuses and rewards.  When I started at the firm 10 years ago, I had some experience due to my Private Investigation business; however I have learned so much over my time here thanks to our Management staff and trainings.  The deadlines can make for a stressful job, and sometimes the clients' idea of what we do and what we can actually do, differ. 
 But those are circumstances that are beyond the control of our Management team and employees, and we are provided guidance and wisdom to handle the situations as they arise, which also allows us to learn how to deal with them indepndently in the future.

On most days my day is busy and the time goes by fast. I have learned so much with Berg Injury Lawyers, I have been able to enchance my skills in Administrative duties and  customer service skills, for example with talking with clients, providers and insurance companies. My knowledge of injury cases and claims has increased while working on different cases. Management has been very helpful and answers any questions I may have, they are accommendating with any changes that may happen, so we can benefit. The workplace atomsphere is wonderful, I love the people I work with in my department. Everyone gets along with each other and makes an effort to be nice. The hardest part is how busy we can get and  to keep priority on what needs to be done, so everything gets done in a timely manner. The most enjoyable part is the employees I work with, having a wonderful boss and the bonuses we get, the WFH day(s) and free lunches.

Typical administrative assistant duties, high call volume, support for the entire office as needed.  Management was excellent, everyone had great communication skills, and we all got along really well. Hardest part of my job was only in the beginning when I first started as a receptionist, because every time a commercial ran for a class action lawsuit, usually all 20 lines would start ringing at once, which I finally got used to handling. Got promoted to a paralegal assistant one year after being a receptionist due to my success in the receptionist position. I enjoyed the fact that the entire office could get their work done and still have a little fun to make the day go by easy.

At House of Berg you will feel right at home, from the coffee in the Berg Café to the warm hellos.  Everyone is at work in this fast-paced environment where you will receive constructive feedback as well as patience from the management.  Every process in place has been thought about strategically and methodically to achieve the best result for our clients as well as to create a rewarding work experience for the staff.  If you are up for a challenge, have great time management skills and are looking for a great work environment, this is the team for you.  In case you aren't convinced, throughout the year we also get to enjoy free snacks, free lunch, fun team building activities, and gift card giveaways.    

A day at work with Berg Injury Lawyers, I feel satisfied helping injured people with resources and guiding them through the process. I have learned that all cases are different and confidential. The hardest part of the job is clients discussing their claims with their opponents and or friends before discussing their attorney. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing clients recovery from their injuries and happy with the outcome. 

Co-workers were the best part of this job. The ladies who work there are amazing. On the other hand, management at this firm was bad. There was no team work or aid from management. Whenever you did ask for help it was looked down upon and no one ever gave you answers. Management expected their employers to do the impossible and even if they did, management never praised or acknowledged their employees great work. If an employee ever suggested how the firm could change things or voiced their opinion, these suggestions were never taken well and created a hostile work environment.

Modesto office lacks a good management style. They don't express appreciation and instead they tear apart any work done with unclear guidance. Guidance is given in different directions, which makes it all confusing. It is a very unstable atmosphere. The feeling of being fired on a daily basis never goes away. Certain staff has issues with professionalism and causes distrust issues all over the office. A very uncomfortable place to work.

I have been working at Berg for over a year now, and absolutely love every minute of it. I find it rare to find a workplace where everyone truly gets along and values one another, on a professional and personal level. I don't wake up and dread going to work, I'm actually excited and ready to see what the new day will bring. Managment is exceptional and helpful. Overall is great to be apart of this team. I wouldn't trade it. 

There is always team support from Management and Supervising Attorneys. Firm is always open to hiring additional staff as requested. Definitely a "Growth Mindset," where you're encouraged to work autonomously knowing there's a safety net if you need assistance. Firm has been working hard on work life balance and it shows; flexibility, vacation time, relaxed atmosphere. Definitely makes it difficult to consider working anywhere else.
