They provided good helpful initial training and they hire a lot of new people in the field. Also CBT, and other training continually as you go along. There is time off for training provided which is great. There is group e-mail support that is encouraging and networking for more training too. There are fairly regular supportive staff meetings where connections can be made with other staff and training is provided.
  They provide supervision for LCSW social workers which is required by the LCSW and Meridian pays for this which is a nice benefit. My supervisor was very good, supportive, and helpful for me and my work with my clients. Unfortunately, then they got very understaffed, and she was very busy and taking a lot of time off, AND she had to double up as the person doing my LCSW supervision and being my job supervisor with the company, which was frustrating.  I do not feel like I then was able to get the supervision I needed or have a job supervisor that I could talk easily talk to. BE very assertive, go to all the meetings. I did , but I had to miss one and they seemed to hold it against me.
   Their supervisory staff seems to change a lot. This was frustrating because who I had to report to or call changed all the time. And there was often not calls back. There were expectations that I was not trained for, like networking with the teachers and principals and getting my own referrals from my connections. It was happening all the time, I was getting more and more referrals all the time and my client list was certainly growing, but not fast enough for HR or my supervisors that kept changing. It was an unreasonable expectation and I wish I would  and I regret I was not more professionally assertive with HR and my supervisor while I was there. 
   The children that are clients have had a lot of abuse and  trauma, and many are on the Autism Spectrum and /or have ADHD. They were wonderful and fascinating to work with. I was able to feel like I was really making a difference and making an impact in their lives in small and significant ways. Working with these children is a great way to be of service!
   It is too bad there is so much chaos, turmoil, and constant change with the staff. I guess you have to take the good with the bad and really be aware of self care, mindfulness, being very assertive, and asking a lot of questions when you can, even by e-mail and text.

This company will tell you they are transparent, flexible, and care about your wellness. THEY DONT. They will let supervisors talk to you like garbage. And treat you as such and avoid at all costs to address it. They will make up rules and policies that do not make sense, and pick their favorites that do not have to follow them. They are biased in hiring, and protocol. AND, THEY ARE BROKE. they cannot manage money, have been on the edge of not being able to function, and could not pay payroll at times. And then lied to all employees about it and told us we were doing great and in good financial shape. I was told I would be getting a raise, was a great asset to the company, was being led for growth and moving up positions,, and the company was doing well. A week later I was threatened with my job, told that I needed to do my job better, and written up on false accusations, and that the company was failing and things weren't looking good. The false accusations were thrown on me because my supervisor wasnt doing her job, goofing off all day, leaving for personal time and not company time, and leading the department down a very bad path..and when she got caught, I was her target because she thought I would just lay down and take it, and I was newer to the team so I was an easy target to throw the blame on and get the tension off her. She spread personal information about other employees, and was aware of a fellow team member breaking HIPAA violations, watching youtube videos all day, and fighting over the phone with family members and in person in the parking lot in front of clients and employees. But yet wanted to make the loyal employees feel terrible and tell us "you're replaceable" and put the financial impact on families in jeopardy, all because she was trying to cover herself. This is a terrible place to work for. Their morals are non existent, they cant pay bills, they dont pay a decent wage, lie about raises, and use you to get ahead and then drop you when they need to save a penny and cover their behind. I wouldn't take my dog there to work, or for services. Meridian behavioral health services is a JOKE.

The pay is probably the best part about this company. I worked there for 4 1/2 years. It started with little to no training to begin with when I started. I pretty much had to learn the EMR system by myself and within 2 weeks they had me training someone new. 

Communication is little to NONE. Management is the worst. No support from management whatsoever. Things are constantly swept under the rug if you aren't one of the favorites. The more you suck up, the less you can do and get away with it. The providers are amazing and truly do care about the patients there, at least for the Sylva clinic. 

You are doing the work of 4-5 people without the compensation. I was having to basically be a lab person, triage, scheduler, referral coordinator, and assistant to the provider. With provider schedules being so full and booked out for quite some time, there was not enough time in the day to truly be able to make a dent in your work that was expected. If you took a moment break to use the restroom you were being asked where you were and what you were doing while other employees were able to sit and play on their phones or hang out in the supervisors office chit chatting.

Going to HR makes absolutely no difference. They sweep things under the rug as well. You have proof of wrongdoing by other employees or managers and they do nothing. In fact they have been known to turn it around on you. 

They hire and promote up individuals who have very little to no background and no skills in management positions. Someone with no background was hired in at the same pay as me as an LPN with 8 years experience. 

In the four and a half years I worked there I watched as money became more important to the company than patient care. Each patient was merely a dollar amount to them. 
  Run far far away. 

I was forced to work for MBHS following an acquisition of my company with the promise of less stress and more money. From day one that was not the case. I have seen a leadership team with no understanding of service delivery hastily put policies into place and blame clinicians for their failure. This agency has a weird pride issue where they cannot admit they made a mistake or they are wrong and force outdated inapplicable policies. They do not value their employees and at times seem to make the work/life balance so horrible they want people to quit. Child and Family Services clinician salaries were recently cut by 15% not due to performance but the lack of leaderships ability to make appropriate financial decisions. Initially we were told benefits would not be cut and then we were not paid 100% hoping no one would notice and then told we were confused despite the change in writing.  
This agency does not care or support its employees, but rather sees them as disposable. They have a misunderstanding that they will always be #1 in WNC however they informed us recently that due to the financial struggles they may be  closing the C&F services within the year; leaving our community with no provider and many clinicians without jobs.
The board and leadership team both need to be re-organized as they do present to be able to fulfill their job duties. 
Until systematic problems are adequately addressed I would not recommend anyone work for MBHS

I gave up my job as a Supervisor. I am working as a CA. I come in and pull my diet sheets off of the computer. Then I go threw the patients menus. I make sure I have every thing I need to billed  the patients trays. I billed the patients trays. Then I go up on the floods and pass temp out. Then l go back an pick up the dirty trays and bring them back to the dish room. I repeat the same process for the lunch and dinner. Management is ok, but sometimes I think they do not treat everyone the same. Some people can get away with things when others gets reprimanded for it.
My coworkers are team player. Most of them are awesome. The hardest part of my job is going behind people who has not been trained right. I know it's not their fault. But cleaning up someone else's mess before yo can start to do your job is very hard. Because you only have 20 minutes to be on the line in the morning. The most enjoyable part of my job would be working with the patients, family members, nursing staff, doctors and all of the other hospital staff. How the patients and nursing staff let you know how well of a job you do. Sometimes the patients will sing you a song. I love working with the patients the most. You get so much respect from them. I am still working here. I am not going to quit. I am looking for a part time job that will work around my hours at the job I already have.

A typical work day in the Emergency room sounds as hectic as it seems. It is a dreaded place to be to most patients and visitors, however, it is my job to be a positive and caring person for those who are going through a rough time. It is my job to greet the patients and/or visitors and guide them to the correct destination. It is my job to register these patients as fast and accurate as possible so they can continue on to treatment from a nurse or doctor. We "interview" every patient that comes into the ER. Interviewing is when I knock on a patients rooms to verify and correct any information in their account that is inaccurate and input the information into the computer. I collect any co-payments that are required and draw up receipts and deposits for what's collected. Management here is wonderful; they are caring and compassionate about each employee. The hardest part about the job is having to see patients in pain and visitors grieving over their loved ones. The most enjoyable part is the fast paced and energetic work style. Overall, I learned a lot of great skills that will carry me into my future employment career.

Unsupportive environment/management. Employees who express dissatisfaction are essentially told 'I'm sorry you feel that way'. Many supervisors exhibit faux-nice behavior, which is typical for office politics but disheartening to see in a company that tries to drive home that there is 'no wrong door' to bring concerns to. Communication is lacking, with constant updates to policy that are communicated rapid-fire, and team members are expected to keep up even without sufficient support. The team is also expected to show limitless compassion to clients, but members are not given the same compassion, with malice assumed at every turn at the smallest mistake. Company (HR, mainly) is abrasive when it comes to ADA and Title IX procedures. 

Their advertisements will state that they're looking for diversity. They are- just be sure to keep quiet, expect below the bare minimum of respect, and to only count on your input mattering when management deems it profitable.

The mission of this company is great, while their approach to success at the Brevard location falls far below average on the being great part. The manager & site coordinator are more on a high school level, if you were the popular girl in high school you might fit in. It took the site coordinator over a month to even speak to the last new hire, when the manager was MIA or had her children there at work. There is no guidance from management to the support staff, if you’re not a Doctor you’re not making them money and therefore are irrelevant. No accountability is held to wrong doings, and there is no guidance to help you even achieve the task that you’ve been given. I hate it’s so messy; as the community here in Brevard could really benefit from them if they figure out how to run a successful site. The Hendersonville and surrounding areas were wonderful even the employees have all said it must be a site thing because that is nothing like the others are.

School based health center RN will see many kids, but A LOT of adults. This is not in the job description. Many of the providers are primary care for the staff and their families. The school nurse will see a lot of these adults, when job description states "children and adolescents". Also, interviewer mentioned there would be "options" to work during the school breaks, such as camps, etc. Once hired, you find out you have to work anytime ANYONE is in the school building, such as teacher workdays. There also seems to be a power struggle amongst leadership. Very difficult to get the resources needed to do the job, such as various website sign-on's for insurance and vaccines. The job has the potential to be a good one, if they were honest about the position and the types of patients you will see. As the nurse, you're expected to be the "mental health go-to". This is way above our expertise and pay grade.
