Everyone had their own accounts, so no time to talk really.
the hardest part was leaving the desk, because you probably receive
20 emails every 5 minutes. If you go to a finance meeting, forget it, you will be playing catch up after. 
the most enjoyable part of the job was building relationships with your account. I love talking to people.

If I were to rate this company on compensation alone, it would receive 5 stars, but unfortunately I am the type of person who  requires a job in which I can excel, shine and most importantly, grow (both as an employee and as an individual). Though I admire the stated mission of this company's commitment to the environment and the communities in which they operated, the actual execution of their programs is fraught with chaos and frenzy. NO ONE KNEW WHAT THEIR JOB WAS!!! Most of the employees I encountered had been with the company for years (e.g., every month someone was receiving a plaque for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years), and yet when you asked them a question, they made it abundantly clear that the job/task had been thrust upon them, that they never received training and how hopeless it was to attempt any type of solution. I was told on several occasions, even by senior staff, that I was working way too hard! Although the benefits were excellent, I simply could not spend my days either doing nothing to the point of nodding at my desk, or running around in a panic trying to conceal a problem that should've been taken care of months before. The directors of this company really need to take a long look at their talent. Most of the senior execs were born to an era long before personal computers, and it's primarily a computer accessory company. Many of them don't even have an intermediate grasp of the software of the day!?!?!?

Working as a summer intern at Brother USA was an enriching and professionally rewarding experience. The program offered meaningful, hands-on exposure to real business operations across departments such as marketing, product development, legal, and supply chain. I was entrusted with substantial responsibilities from day one, including conducting market research, assisting with cross-functional projects, and contributing to internal strategy meetings. My team members were supportive and genuinely invested in my growth, offering regular feedback and mentoring throughout the internship.

The company culture was collaborative and inclusive, and I appreciated the balance between structure and autonomy. Brother USA’s leadership encouraged interns to voice ideas and ask questions, creating an environment of continuous learning. I also had the chance to participate in workshops and networking events that provided valuable insights into the broader tech and manufacturing industries.

One of the highlights was working on a capstone project that was presented to senior management—an opportunity that sharpened my communication and presentation skills. Overall, this internship gave me not only technical and analytical experience but also a clearer understanding of corporate dynamics in a global company. I would highly recommend the program to anyone looking to grow professionally in a supportive and innovative setting.

I worked at Brother USA in Bridgewater, NJ for 11 years.  My colleagues were wonderful. 
 Unfortunately management was not.  The culture is a boys club atmosphere.  I witnessed multiple accounts of favoritism. The bottom line is if you didn't kiss the ring, you were going to be stuck in your position regardless of your performance.  Presidents and Vice Presidents promoted people who they had personal ties with outside of the office.  The company says they provide you with a path to career advancement but you better play golf or drink wine with the big wigs or you can forget it.  The compensation was fair but they definitely capped your earning potential by changing the compensation plan for the sales team often.  It was also a meetings for the sake of having a meeting culture.  Sales meetings on Mondays and Fridays?  What is happening between Friday and Monday that would require another meeting about essentially the same things?   Each year they reorganize structure and the same department heads move around to manage different divisions they have little experience in.  Peter Principle in full effect. I miss many of my colleagues but not the horrid work culture.

In terms of a workplace environment, Brother USA is horrible. Management enforces rules that they do not follow. Double standards abound in this warehouse. 

The temporary employees are the heartbeat of the warehouse, yet they receive little to no recognition. There is little to no chance for advancement, and the pay rate is not sufficient for adults living in 2024.

Temporary employees are forced to take off and lose pay because management always has important meetings and catered lunches. These workers do not make enough as it is. If you are not in management, you do not matter at Brother.

It is a very tense work environment, as management is allowed to do as they please. This facility needs a complete overhaul. 85% of management should be terminated. 

I am fully aware that not even this review will matter, it will not be taken seriously, if it is seen by management at all. Nothing will change in that warehouse because that is the way it was designed.

Starting up companies In-House Plastic molding department.
I was hired to build new Plastic molding manufacturing operation with no experienced workers. Made all operation manuals and trained team leaders as well as maintenance program.
Responsible with machine operation consist with programming molding profile for automated operation. Quality control, Inventory control, Mold maintenance, Machine maintenance for all 3 shift production team. From material order to color change, mold change procedure and equally trained tested for all workers.
Weekly report to top management and keeping complete record of daily/weekly production, maintained and kept perfect efficiency by minimum loss of less than 0.2%.
All requirement has met in 1 year and moved on to Tochiba Machine.

I have learned how to collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Arithmetic and counting money to make change. Also, maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. My co-workers are friendly, cooperative and  professional. Being a cashier is one of the most easy and basic things to learn depending on the system. That being said the hardest part is the customers. Everyone had that time when someone was overly rude or not friendly when they were waiting on us, but I can deal with that. Always I try to do my best and give the best service to my customers. The most enjoyable part of my job is handle money from bills payments,money transfer, and money orders.

Brother is a 50+ year old company with a management structure that has been relatively static for most of that time. Most mid-tier and upper level managers have been with the company for over 20 years and still make decisions as if the company was a "Mom and Pop Shop". Upper management makes decisions too slowly and often too late for full effect.
There is evidence that Brother is working to change this, but is again implementing changes too slowly and with lesser effect. This has demoralized much of the newer employees and increased new employee turnaround.
It is going to get worse before it gets better for Brother. If they manage to complete their 'purge' within the next two years, they should be able to reverse their downturn and become a more positive work experience.

I have worked with some great people there. 
Typical workdays start early, before office opens.  Days become very busy very quickly. Working late is often needed to complete the days work.

The work is not difficult but the environment often makes completion difficult as there is a lack of respect for non upper management employees and their time.  Workloads are difficult to manage as there are spontaneous assignments often with short deadlines.

There is room for advancement however advancement can be difficult if management changes.  This is a very political environment.

I’ve been working at Brother International for 3 years in the B2B side and have enjoyed every bit of it. The environment is positive and my colleagues are a pleasure to work with; we work hard and play hard, with many opportunities to get together and have a good time. My job is very challenging but I have the autonomy to make decisions as to the best course of action, and I know I can always get good advice from my manager. Upper management is excellent - they are down to earth, have an open-door policy, and provide great career pathing support. I feel lucky to be here and plan to stay until I retire.
