I start working with Carebuilders 2 years ago, I have all the sort of experiences with all different kind if clients, I have been trained before I start to work with a client, and experienced caregivers show me all the sorts of work that require for the clients with whom I’m going to work, at least 1-hour prior training, which is useful to have, even if you never have experience before. You will be likely to use your time management skills, because client supposed to have a routine that that they prefer to have, or hobbies that they may share with you, bringing to Dr appointments, doing grocery shopping, picking up a pharmacy, doing errands, cooking meals, light cleaning, exercising reminder, so your problem-solving skills and ability to learn about your clients preferences will be must. If you willing to be flexible, work night shifts, or weekends, forget about holidays sometimes, and mostly never have any accidents or rapid changes in the plan, Carebuilders will be a good place to work, build relationships and being treated like the part of a family. And be proud of yourself, because not many people may have a caring heart to choose to be a caregiver, but benefits for impact in peoples life, make you wake up and go to work with pleasure. Just remember to take care of yourself also. 

I joined carebuilders under the guise that they would be paying for my cna classes. For six months I asked regularly about getting registered for my classes and nothing ever got done about it. Eventually my hours at in home care got cut from 40 to 30 hours a week and I asked to be moved clients. That made the issue worse and I ended up having even less hours, around 22 for two months. I kept asking for help and management kept telling me that it would get better. Several months later, they took over a facility and I was able to have my 40 hours again! But what a nightmare it turned out to be. The facility was poorly ran with little communication from management. It was a weekly ordeal just to get our basic supplies to do our job! They lasted six months in that facility before ending the contract there due to how much of a mess it has been. The main person in HR never even bothered to learn my name!

horrible scheduling, they will constantly be altering your schedule even after they tell you it's going to be permanent. they do not try too hard finding coverage when your relief calls in and you will end up mandated nearly every shift - there is no consequence for calling off shifts last minute. staff in the office do not talk to you or treat you with respect, and frequently tell you that your availability to work is a suggestion and not a guarantee. the company does not take coworker/coworker threats or hostility seriously and tell you to "be the bigger person." everyone will tell you something different as long as it's what you want to hear in the moment. the company is terrified of lawsuits and will not confront staff on anything even if it involves rights violations. do not work here if you value your mental health or wellbeing. this company will not protect its workers and is only concerned about the checks they cash from client contracts. 

I have a 2nd job and I work nights and sleep in the day so when I am at work at night on my break I send a message to related to a message that was sent to me that made no sense so I was expecting a response when it was convenient for the scheduler who send me dates to work but there was no time as the message from the scheduler was thank you for giving us a chance yet to take me off a sch and off notice to see schedule and not let me know what they had did to me I would not recommended this home health company based on there schedulers very immature and no knowledge or wisdom whatsoever to life’s purpose. Owners are very kind but it is like they could not be looking at the whole scenario of situations that corespond to communication is vey understanding and very misleading and confusing one says bad talk about one and judges based on what they think no understanding! 

My role was a Home Care Manager. I had been a caregiver for 7 years and did not have management experience yet but the owners of the Barrington location took a chance on me and started training me from the ground up on my management skills. 

They were a very nice couple that really encouraged my growth in a new leadership position. I was supported and befriended these people. 

The job itself was busy, sometimes I was on my phone with caregivers 7 days a week which got alittle exhausting. I would have to fill in for caregivers if they called off or didn't show up. 

Overall experience was positive and I was happy for the opportunity.

What is the best part of working at the company?
No best part. They do not honor their employment contracts, I had to file a DOL complaint for $25,000 in unpaid salary and profit share. Also filed an EEOC/ADAcomplaint against them which is currently before the PA Human Rights Commission

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper management only care about growth. Upper management will call you at home to discuss sales goals and then take credit for your work.

Horrible. Don't even have an employee handbook

Doing work that your superiors will take credit for and then not pay you

People working here are absolutely wonderful.  The client I work with is just awesome.  Love my job.

There is nothing to be stressed about because you are trained and ready to do the job.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company is open and very understanding about different peoplr and different culture.  The enviroment is very very compassionate and very understanding.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
They make sure you and your client are ok.  That if you need help they will extend their hands to anything  you need.

What is the best part of working at the company?
If they have new clients you'll have work. Otherwise you'll only have very few hours, 1 day or 2 & very cheap. Very unprofessional staff/support. Can be ridiculous.

Communication, , consistency, reliability.  Too small of a company.

According to their convenience. Unprofessional staff..

Depends on the client situation / unprofessional staff/ reliability or support.

The clients make working at the company worth going everyday

The hours are not enough for full time unless you have multiple clients and communicates could be better

Amazing you get your clients and do the tasks required of you as long as you don’t mine driving you are good

Heartwarming to be able to help the Elderly,Disabled and the Veterans

The worst company to work for ever

They don't listen when the clients are being abused. I reported this company to the state

Terrible environment. I worked there for about 6 months..they put you in unsafe work environments

Terrible training under staffed nursing home facilities
