Ongoing change of management several times over the course of a few years of employment has been difficult. Company is constantly reinventing itself, which leads to a purge of staff. Focus is not on participant-care, but rather on cost-reduction via any means necessary. It has come to a point where it feels like their safety is being compromised. 

Unions are a joke. You will be working after hours and before hours every single day to keep up. You will do whatever you must to ensure that your participants get the care that they need so you will spend more time in the home providing care, teaching the participants, their families and their aides. You will do what you must to ensure that your license is not compromised. So you will spend the additional hours documenting. They will not approve overtime for you to document. 
You are expected to document all assessments and findings within three days, while also being expected to join meetings between visits, sometimes even while driving. You will do what you must to ensure that you join the meeting, because if you don't, rest assured they will interrupt another nurse's day to have them join in your place. Or they will have a manager sit in for you and the team will come up with interventions that are not participant-centered or realistic. They will document this in the care plan and, you, the primary nurse, will be responsible for carrying them out! 
 Thus, you create your schedule and send to management, only to have it upended by their endless, lengthy meetings. 
On top of this, management will ask you why your work is not done on time. They expect you to use up your personal time for work. It is shameful. This has lead to immense stress, burn-out, fatigue, depression among the staff. They are currently undergoing another huge change, which has seen management terminating and laying people off. Many have left willingly as they could no longer deal with the stress. It is hard to leave because the work is so rewarding. We are helping seniors to live safely in their homes and it is beautiful to see the fruits of our labor, but we end up giving too much of ourselves and, ultimately, our mental health must come first. I don't see how things will improve with this current CEO. I wish luck to the program participants and their families. I wish luck to the staff. 
 At this point, I cannot recommend working here. 

Typical day of work? Very stressful and high call volume. At least that was before they laid off the entire clerical and call center team and outsourced them so I guess that's not really an issue anymore. 

This was my first job in a professional environment so I had management in high regards. However, that was my first mistake after witnessing management fumbling around policies and decisions. They also have no idea what's going on with the work status of the team that they are supposed to lead. Inquiries and questions regarding cases are either disregarded by management and responded with a classic "We'll touch bases later." 

Not really sure what the work place culture is like because they do offer remote work 5 days a week which is one of the only good things about the job. 

Hardest part of the job is the constant changes of policies towards the insurance services and giving misinformation to the members due to these changes. 

ONE VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT CON THAT YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY: IN THE EVENT THAT YOU GET LAID OFF (which is pretty high since management has no idea how the company works and would rather cut core employees to increase profits), THEY HAVE VERY PREDATORY RECALL POLICIES TO GET YOU BACK AT A LOWER RATE. After the layoffs, employees would receive recall notices to get you employed again back at Centerlight. However, the jobs were usually front desk coordinator jobs that was only in-person and was way less than what you were making before. THEY WILL THREATEN YOUR UNEMPLOYMENT IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE JOBS since it is a job offer and not an interview. To add pressure to accept, they will need an answer on the spot and will not give you time to consider your other job options. 

The company has undergone numerous re-organizations in the past year, including lay-offs. The leadership/management has not done a good job with communicating with staff over the past year so many of the great employees have left from all over the company. This includes at least 8 VPs and above who have left or been asked to leave. Total departments have disappeared, such as Strategy, or are close to disappearing, like Medical Economics/Analytics, Performance Improvement, and Vendor Oversight. The Call Center barely has staff so has to direct member calls to our teams. It seems like every team is working over capacity, a possible compliance issue. The compliance team is large, but as mentioned the teams who can help analyze member data, hold our vendors accountable, and implement change are disappearing. In addition, our program is in the process of being transitioned to another company and many in the care management team have been meeting with HR to discuss the retention program. It may be a little too late given the environment created by people being under such a long period of uncertainty. People are still looking to leave since they understand that once the transition takes place their roles may be in jeopardy. Other programs are also going through many changes and no one knows when they will end.
Coworkers are all smart, educated, willing to go the distance for the members, but have been pushed to their limits with ridiculously large caseloads. Leadership should do more listening of staff concerns
I have learned a lot by seeing all the changes occurring in the company.

There is no typical day of work at CenterLight. Due to frequent leadership changes and organizational restructuring (layoffs), employees never know what to expect. 

When I was hired, I was assigned to a specific department, as most new hires are. Within a year, I was working on multi-departmental projects and unofficially reporting various higher ups across the system. While I am flattered that management calls upon me for help, at this point, I am stretched way too thin and receive little to no acknowledgment for my efforts. Advancement does not exist for me at this organization; my reward is to inherit more work and continue to get shuffled between departments like a play thing.

At the start of my tenure at CenterLight, my supervisor taught me so much, appreciated me and encouraged me to leave work on time. He did his best to provide a great work life balance for me. He was a terrific mentor and confidant. Unfortunately, there was a major organizational change a couple years into the job. Once he began reporting to incompetent jerks, he had to mirror their leadership style, or I suppose he would have been next on the chopping block. As a result, there was a shift in our dynamic. He and his superiors micromanage me like crazy (as if I am always doing something wrong). The leadership team has transformed CenterLight into a toxic work environment.

	Adhere to policies and procedures of the organization, Compose, transcribe compile and develop correspondence spreadsheets and memoranda as required
	Conduct audits of patient records to monitor adherence to agency policy and compliance goals. 
	Conduct disciplinary sessions with staffing coordinators as needed. 
	Ensure random attendance, profiles and certificates for paraprofessionals, scheduling of in- service for compliance, payroll, paraprofessional benefits are properly logged.
	Maintain patient confidentiality, weekly overtime log.
	Monitor and report all outstanding issues from coordination, paraprofessional and crisis aides. 
	Monitor case loads of staffing coordinators and maintain a caseload of 138 patients. 
	Demonstrate reliable attendance, participate in daily on call reports and works 2 weeks or weekend of the month. 
	Participate in performance improvement projects by reporting on audit findings
	Prepare weekly/monthly statistical/productivity reports as required. 
	Rectify open and pending visits ,pre billing
	Report daily census details, any telephony issues, monitor weekly verifications, review incident reports, perform other duties when as assigned. 


You can work remotely, and the pay is somehow great, but that's it! It's a high-demand job with low rewards, rudeness, unprofessionalism, and passive aggressiveness towards employees. Anything you've heard about this company, you name it, they have it. I REALLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS JOB TO ANYONE! The training is nefarious and a real joke; there are no core values. They are quick to micromanage and gaslight when something goes wrong! The workload is insane! Despite the lack of proper training they provide, they pretend the employees exceed the company's expectations. Basically, this company is full of unrealistic expectations, and the managers and supervisors are very unorganized and absent. They promote people without having any knowledge of what the job is about., but what can you expect from a micromanaging company like this,  Another lesson learned.

I worked at Centerlight for six years, and I can confidently say it was the worst company I have ever been a part of. Management treats employees like workhorses, pushing them to their limits only to lay them off under the guise of “budget restraints.”

As a dedicated healthcare professional at 34 years old, I take immense pride in my work, the care I provide, and the well-being of the patients we serve. Unfortunately, Centerlight does not share that same commitment. They do not respect or value their employees, nor do they genuinely care about the people they serve.

If you are considering working here, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. If you are a family thinking about enrolling your loved ones, I urge you to reconsider. Centerlight prioritizes one thing above all else—your money. There are many other managed care organizations that will treat your loved ones with the dignity and compassion they deserve. Stay away.

Temp nurses and program assistants are expected to work 10 hours straight without lunch or breaks. 

Most managers don’t not know what they are doing or what is going on, most managers don't even know or understand the type of work of the people they are managing do. 

The CEO has changed 4 times in the past few years, people at the top make way too much money. Employees that actually do the work barely make fair market rate and temp employees are exploited. 

As a union employee you will be underpaid and work with a miserable staff and likely be terminated in the next layoff (They hire frequently but large layoffs tend to happen every quarter). If you temp you can be paid actually well but the stress, bad management and toxic environment are not worth it.

I work very closely with the AVP of Clinical Operations and the Regional Director. I answer their line when they are not in the office, I schedule meetings, conference lines and in-services. I create spreadsheets, power point presentations and word documents that aide in their projects. I enter information into the database.

I work well with the staff assisting with IT issues, telephone issues, etc. I am resourceful so I get asked for assistance often. I maintain employee personnel files.

I submit travel reimbursement for management. I keep nurses abreast on upcoming in-services and mandatory meetings.

My job is great, I love the company and the staff and most of all I have the greatest managers. They are very supportive , encouraging and knowledgable. There is no hard part about this job.

My typical day consists of emailing the morning staffing report which shows who is absent and who is covering. Enter in time off request forms and approve weekly timecards. Trouble shoot customer service calls to the Director and Care Management Dept. Schedule weekly and monthly team meetings. Order office supplies. Cover the Reception desk weekly. Prepare fair hearing packets and medical records requests. I've learned how to multi task current and all additional duties. My co-workers and I work very well together. The hardest part of the job is the uncertainty of the companies future. The most enjoyable part of the job is having a family type relationship with the members we serve.
