The work environment and culture are severely lacking. There are two main groups of employees: executive family members and family friends from high school, who make up 75% of the workforce. The remaining 25% consists of regular employees, who are typically hired as consultants or for very short-term positions. These regular employees often find themselves replaced once family members acquire the necessary skills for higher positions. Additionally, those with strong skill sets are frequently terminated, often due to the misuse of California's "at-will" employment law, which employees sign without fully understanding the implications.

Opportunities for growth within the organization are minimal, especially for those who do not identify as Christian. Working hours are constantly changing, but this only affects regular hires; family members and close friends enjoy more stable schedules and have the option to work remotely or in a hybrid setup. The HR department does not operate in a traditional manner, failing to adhere to standard regulations, and this lack of professionalism is concerning.

On-site learning opportunities are extremely limited, as most employees are immediate family members without prior corporate experience or knowledge. Furthermore, surveillance cameras are installed at workstations to monitor employees, which contravenes state policy. If an employee is not at their workstation, a family member from HR will issue a written reprimand.


Typical day starts with criticism and scrutiny melted with gossip of negativity as the managers/supervisors come in whenever they desire but expect peons to come in on time.  As long as someone wants you to be a manager you can do whatever you want.  Culture is you must not believe in God, (even if it is by name a God centered place),  be Hispanic, gossip, and max the minimum.  Hardest part of the job is to deal with gossip of supervisors/managers about staff with HR and never knowing when you are going to go.  Only enjoyable part is making a difference in the people you are helping.  If you are not a "favorite" you are the "enemy".  

This is a non-profit FQHC Federally Qualified Health Clinic.  It has a small mom and pops feel to me.  The manger that interviewed me is good.  The problem is that corporate decisions are made sometimes impulsively and willy nilly and it seems that they'd rather go for the money rather than spend the money to hire quality staff that will stay with the agency.  Many of the workers are younger and not educated and sometimes it shows itself in their behaviors, like backbiting and gossiping.  Overall, I like working here and making a difference in the lives of the patients we serve.

Managers target employees if they do not like them and will make their lives and position extremely difficult until the employee quits since they don’t like to fire due to having to pay unemployment. HR will be against you at all times. You will have very few opportunities of promotion. Raises are 3% average per year based on very biased yearly reviews. July raises typical 3% max 5% (not actually given). Don’t be fooled, their goals and vision do not align with the work culture or how they will treat you. You have been warned. 

Stressful, overwhelming, they don't care about staff safety when it comes to aggressive patients, can't grow in this company, favoritism, understaffed and underpaid, pile on more work than you can take, gossip, MA's are treated like they're not important, false promises, no breaks, management is not that great, coworkers were nice but that's about it. Double and triple booking, Rules are broken and/or ignored, accepts very late patients, constant changes, unorganized, no support, lots of family members and friends will get hired, and much more. It's a place to get your MA experience but not to stay for years. Would not recommend.

CNHF has significant management issues, characterized by a tendency toward micromanagement and inadequate communication. Employees are often expected to take on responsibilities far beyond their job descriptions, leading to confusion and frustration. There is a noticeable lack of organization and professional direction, which makes it difficult to perform effectively. I would not recommend working here, as many other organizations demonstrate stronger leadership, integrity, and ethical practices.

If you clock in, do your work, and leave and you’ll be good. If you work at a clinic, you will probably be more stressed out than working at the call center. There is constant changes in workflows, from one day to another you could be doing one thing and then the health plan requires you to do another. You must be super flexible to do well in this job, and you must know how to talk to people, engage in conversations, and definitely have some type of medical background to succeed.

The supervisors expectations out of their employees are ridiculous. We were expected to do so much more than within our job titles and told its “above and beyond” and any time a concern is raise we get a slap on the wrist for expressing it. The expectations were overwhelming and job duties kept expanding but there’s no raises or compensation to match. The communication is terrible, and things constantly change on a weekly basis there’s no structure.

All you can get from working here is stress overwork, overwhelmed. No one from corporate appreciate their employees unless their there family or close friends. Every location is always under staff and expect to  keep a high volume of patients working with one front office and back ma with like 3 providers and still everything needs to be done by end of the day . They don’t care about staff safety with their patients. DON’T RECOMMEND even trying to apply to work here .
