          Since my start one year ago, I have held two positions in the company—Care Coordinator and Licensed Clinical Counselor—under the impression that the double role would be temporary upon hire of a new Care Coordinator. What I can tell you is that, one year later, I am still working two roles and a new Care Coordinator for my location was not hired until one month ago. In my time here, I have seen 3 therapists quit, 1 therapist drop to part time, and 3 care coordinators quit. I’ll let that speak for itself. 
          Communication is nearly non-existent and ineffective at best. If major policy changes are happening, we would often find out same day and have no way of informing patients of the changes other than letting them know same day that it was occurring, often leaving them frustrated and overwhelmed. There was no clear direction for any task we were required to complete, and you would get a different answer depending on who  you asked. 
 	There was a very obvious divide between behavioral health staff and the rest of the team. I was often undermined, excluded, and my abilities minimized by medical providers as well as other staff. I am specialized in treating addiction and the providers I worked with constantly overstepped my clinical findings if it went against their perception of their patients whom I was often working with more extensively. Blatant favoritism was a common occurrence here. I was often made to feel incompetent and invalidated. 
          Any concern I had was met with “we’re working on a solution in the background, I promise” but no follow up or change ever happened. Nearly every single concern I had was brushed under the rug until the day I left.  I rarely, if ever, had any support for anything other than an occasional listening ear from my direct supervisor who’s hands were tied. They did advocate for me and I do feel that they did all that they could to hear me and validate my concerns. All this company cares about are numbers, money, and working their employees beyond burnout then sitting back and wondering why their turnover rate is the worst I have ever seen in my life. I would never recommend this company to a colleague, friend, or even someone I disliked. They do not care about you as an employee, you are nothing but replaceable to them despite their inability to keep roles filled. 	 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working with the greatest team ever and our patients were the best. They miss and wish I was still a part of helping individuals with addictions get better. The Noblesville staff was amazing!! Miss and love those ladies. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working with Clean Slate, was when patients are doing so good and then they start missing appointments, and going back to drugs, we had a call list for them and it was my responsibility to make calls to try to get them back in to get back into their addictions medicated treatment. Also when this happened, they would expect us to get them in right away, and when there’s no available appointments sometimes till the next week. That is stressful because you really feel for them and I would go out of my way a lot of times and try to keep tabs on them until they get in to see their provider, calling and checking on them. Clean Slate employees have the best dedicated and loving people, who give the absolutely best care to all patients! 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment and culture at Clean Slate, is diverse and providing patients without judgement of the patients who are trying to be treated. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at working there, 
• First thing, I’d print out everyone’s schedules, as well providing notes for each provider concerning individual patients.
• open the doors right at 8:50AM
• I would get organized to get the started.
• Checked for any tasks that require to be completed as they come in. 
• When patients began to come in, I got them checked in with a great attitude as well as checking them out and suggesting them to make sure they have their next appointment scheduled.
• Scanned documents into the EMR, so that the correct paperwork will be put into the patient’s medical records.  
• Registered new patient’s by gathering their insurance information and verifying demographics and personal details.
•Was responsible for locking and unlocking the facility for lunch.
• I did was proudly a key holder. My responsibility was to open the clinic and at the end of the day, I would make sure that the clinic was located up.

I don't even know where to begin. I was hired as a Center Manager. I implore you to look at the CM job description on the Indeed job posting. Nowhere in there does it state that "since this is a brand-new business, you'll primarily be a medical receptionist until further notice."
 
A typical day at work basically included me being a medical receptionist and lab person. I have ZERO experience in that. Is that to say I can't perform those duties? Nope. Of course, I can help out. However, when I interviewed I was clear that I would be a backup when needed. That's what a good leader does. Steps in when they have to to get the job done. However, doing that job 98% of your days? Nope, not what my background is in. Every single center manager in this state does exactly the same thing. They are all far too short-staffed to do their actual jobs. 

Management is terrible. Micromanagement model. They "listen" to your concerns, but typically won't make reasonable changes. You can work here if you like being just another cog in the machine. 

Culture? What culture? Management and their fear-based nonsense have completely ruined whatever "culture" may have existed. People are so rude to each other. I don't really blame them though. All employees have been pushed to that absolute limit and they are just sick and tired of it. 

The hardest part of the job is sometimes being so busy you don't even have time to go to the bathroom or take a lunch break. Simple, basic human needs. Also dealing with "management." Patients can be great, but some can also be horribly rude. This is all a recipe for disaster. 

The only joy I found was seeing patients happy and successful. Generally speaking, all your co-workers are very great to work with as well. 

Ultimately, this model is simply about the money. Get as many patients in as possible to maximize profit. Look elsewhere for employment. 

I’ve worked with the company for nearly 4 years. It has massively went downhill. Upper management does not care about front line employees or patients and just wants as many appointments and insurance claims as possible to be pushed through. The numbers are the only thing that matters. The quality of patient care means nothing to them . We have lost so many NP’s due to the relentlessness of the overscheduling and penny pinching and budget cuts . The centers are short staffed from everyone leaving but corporate continues to push for double booking patients . Double booking patients only upsets the NP’s that are seeing them because they are rushed and get behind . Then the patients are upset because they are having to wait, every day is stressful and there is no attention paid to providing quality to the patients we already have , only to getting more and more and more . Don’t get me started on if you ask for success stories with the medication either. We are there to help with the journey but we are a business and we start a journey that never ends . If we were curing the disease we wouldn’t have “customers” anymore in the greedy corporate’s eyes . Also HR is a joke . They are not there to help you out or protect you . If you’re looking to work here , it is falling apart and I highly suggest you work somewhere else . I feel so bad when I see new hires come in , because they have no idea what a sham this place is.  

CleanSlate has left several people unemployed after hiring great people and laying them off in a year or two because of the poor decisions made by corporate due to the lack of research and consideration. It is clear they arent in the field to help but more so in the field of chasing MONEY. Using their famous phrase "flying a plane while building it" to justify their reckless decisions and lack of knowledge as they try to compete with competitors. Sacrificing quality for quantity by quickly building centers that are doomed to fail for the sake of saying they are national organization with X amount of centers. 

They claim to be in the business to help the opioid epidemic and turn around and recklessly contribute to the leading reasons of drugs use which is UNEMPLOYMENT and STRESS. Dont leave a stable job or career to work for this organization. They have opened and closed several clinics just in 2018. If you have a family to support, bills to pay I beg you not to place your livelihood into the hands of this organization. They will leave you jobless, stressed and ready to join the epidemic they are claiming to try to end. 

There are a lot more flaws but this is the biggest one to mention. P.S. in addition to the lay offs, several people in corporate management resigned and when asked in secret they said they didn't like the direction the organization was headed. Says a lot, but who would knew this was the direction they feared. I wish I was warned thoroughly.

First and foremost, I have never in my life written a review for a job but Clean Slate has left me compelled to do so. Do not waste your time applying for the call center position for this company. Training was 6 weeks long and 5 of those weeks were used to learn how to verify various insurances across quite a few states. During the last week of training, we focused on how to schedule which is what we do 99% of the time. Every single site has a various rules on how they would like to schedule. There is absolutely no consistency or structure with this company. You are scheduled for over 70 locations and there is a different scheduling rule for each site. You are constantly checking the very sloppily made manual on how to schedule for whatever location you are dealing with. Every single mistake you make will be nitpicked. If you ever have a question for the site or site managers that you are scheduling for avoid reaching out to them because most of them are very rude. The providers are more than likely over worked which contributes to the millions of prescription issues that patients constantly have. I have seen patients go days without having their prescription simply because a provider forgot to sign it. If you want to work for an organization that care about their employees as well as their patients, then I suggest you spot elsewhere. Clean Slate is all about their money. That’s it.

I waited a year after my termination to write this review. I did not want it to sound like sour grapes. As a center manager I put every bit of my ability into making our Center a warm and welcoming place for people who sought relief from addiction. I worked hard to encourage recruitment of great providers. We struggled with hiring support staff and the support staff I inherited was marginal. Upper management gives very little support to Center management. My Center had great numbers and phenomenal growth during my tenure. Management chose believe mistruth and toxic employees in making a decision to terminate me without warnings or cause. They ignored for other outstanding employees and shows to believe the two toxic employees that had problems with my management style. I was terminated without cause right before I was scheduled to go on leave for surgery. The HR department is a joke, and although I tried to handle everything through HR as instructed, it came back to bite me. Wage is decent for the center manager role, but the expectations are very high without any upper management support.

The purpose of the company is to provided outpatient service to people in addiction. The employees caring for the patients in the office were not appreciated by upper management. No matter how much you did and how much work was put on one person when the decided to let go off all staff due to money it was never appreciated or compensated. The particular office in greenfield lost all staff members because they all seen the company’s true colors. My sympathy goes out to the patients not receiving optimal care because of the greed that takes place with the corporation. If you want to have all the work put on you with barely any training and no support form upper management this job is for you otherwise run far from this company.  They will work you till you are stressed and hating your job and not have a care about how you are truly feeling. In the beginning of my job there I always exceeded my job title requirements and strived to give the patients the care they needed during such a vulnerable time. Not once was I shown appreciation or compensated for it

This company started out with a great mission and vision driven by PATIENTS FIRST.  That has changed to being a profit driven, numbers driven enterprise.  Providers are paid by production and if they see a patient for too long, they get financially penalized.  Care Coordinators have unreasonable workloads thrust upon them. Front office staff have to do the work of 2 to 3 people. Management does not support staff and will throw you under the bus to cover for themselves.  There is no employee support. This place also promotes unqualified staff that do not even meet the standards the company sets for certain positions. They promote those  that develop relationships with higher management by sucking-up and overlook qualified staff.  Management hides out all day and is never involved with staff and let issues go until it becomes something they can no longer ignore.  A once great place to work has become a "prescription mill" that doesn't care about patient success....just revenue generation.  The CEO gives these "rah rah" videos often that just spew lies and nonsense.  He is a phony that tries to sound good and self-promote himself and his image.  Sad really. 😔 

With the massive expansion going on with Cleanslate Centers across the nation, this organization becomes more and more disorganized. It seems they only care about having the most outpatient centers in the nation, not the quality and care that goes on. It lacks the upper level leadership it needs. Training is a joke, its definitely "the cart before the horse" They need to do a better job with training, and give more support staff. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.  The HR department is a joke, they will not have your back, they just believe what your leaders tell them without properly investigating.  Most all of the support staff were great to work with, and we truly loved our patients. Its too bad, that good employees are not valued. It became more and more clear that money and greed are the true bottom line. The true warriors are in the trenches with the patients. Many of the providers have no addiction experience, which is scary for the patients.  Maybe leadership should try and come visit more often instead of just judging from a distance. If you really want job security, CleanSlate is not the place to be.
