As a new hire employee at CHCP I was excited to work for a company with such a strong mission for change, however, the longer I worked there the more I saw how management in my department grossly warped those ideals to put excessive pressure on its employees to make them feel like they weren’t good enough. 
There are metrics in place to track performance and give constructive feedback to employees for growth however my teams managers would use it as a way dismantle and undervalue their employees. They expected perfection and focused mostly on additional steps your could have taken on top of the additional time and effort you had already put into your job and students, no effort was enough and no one but the tenured staff, who are the only ones that stayed my entire time at the company, received much recognition, however, even top preforming employees would receive minimal recognition.
Staff turnover was horrendous, we were constantly understaffed and at multiple time throughout my time, we functioning with only half the staff we needed due to people leaving every month or other month leading to excessive stress on the remaining staff to pick up the work.

Management hides behind vague terms and questions of loyalty and commitment to deplete your confidence in your job efficiency and only talk about what you can do better while undermining what you are excelling at. 

I was genuinely excited to join this company and am overjoyed to be leaving.

Administration will do anything to make the school money. They will allow students who should be dismissed to stay. Completely undermining you and this causes the students to know they can get away with anything and do minimum work to pass. They tell you “ you did this wrong” “ why do you  have so many failures.
The pay does equal to the amount of workload given to you, and OT is practically never allowed, so you will most likely have to prep and grade unpaid at home. 
There is no such thing as raises here.
Medical insurance is expensive.
They care about getting in as many students as possible to make the most money possible. They Don’t care about quality of medical personnel that they are producing.
You will be lied to your face and told you will get something and never get it.
They do not care about the safety of staff.
You will be asked to do the job of 3-4 people with no extra pay, no compassion, not even an occasional free lunch, only “why are you not getting this done”.
They know of so many problems and will sweep it under the rug, and when it comes time to get audited it’s now the instructors jobs to backtrack and “fix” mistakes done by other people.
They receive so much money in tuition but give us mix matched computers that Don’t work properly and are very old and when it has to be replaced, they will replace it with another old computer. The AC is always crazily fluctuating from extremely cold to hot and humid. They will cram 25 students in a room meant to have maybe 18 students.  You will get blamed for other peoples mistakes that you have no control in

A year ago I was part of creating an online school focused on the student and the student's experience. Today we have 198 students who will enter the Health Profession with a new career and perspective on life. I interact daily with new and existing students providing support and encouragement to the students. My staff and I interact daily with our students via phone, texting and email to help them achieve their academic goals. Everyday I review goals and objectives with my staff. Together we work toward achieving a 4% retention rate. In addition, I provide technical assistance and training to students and staff. I start the day with scheduled meetings and objectives but often have to change gears and reorganize with no notice or warning. My focus is to provide the best service to our students and staff at all times which involves wearing several hats. My hats consist of: administration of our learning management system along with Campus Vue, monitoring classrooms, scheduling, ordering materials, running reports, conducting orientations, training staff, compliance, updating of policy and procedures, auditing records and meeting monthly retention numbers. It can be difficult to balance all the hats while the phone is ringing and employees are standing behind me but I believe my strongest skill set is balancing and prioritizing to help the school succeed.

Establishes the patient’s eligibility for care. 
• Communicates with the families of patients. 
• Interacts with a variety of hospital staff from different departments. 
• Assesses patients upon admission to the hospital or medical facility. 
• Reviews patients’ medical records. 
• Determines whether a patient should be admitted to the hospital or if their health issue can be handled on an outpatient basis. 
• Explains care options to patients and their families. 
• Works with a healthcare facility to schedule doctor visits and therapy sessions for patients. 
• Coordinates with healthcare facility staff to ensure that each patient has a smooth transition through the discharge process and back to the home environment. 
• Verifies health insurance coverage for patients. 
• Trains new employees who serve as clinical liaisons. 
• Coordinates communication between patients and their physicians, case managers and other medical staff. 
• Develops relationships in the community on behalf of the medical facility. 
• Schedules speaking engagements at community events. 
• Works with the facility’s marketing and sales team to bring awareness of the facility’s strengths and services into the community at large.

CHCP is a great place to work and they definitely allow area for growth. They always rather promote from within when job openings become available. Management at my campus is great and they always work with your schedule. The best part of my job is educating students on the many different ways to finance their education and seeing the satisfaction in them when they are helped and able to start school. The only down fall is that its very stressful in the Financial Aid Department due to being understaffed for the amount of work we have to do. Other staff/departments are not understandable or considerate of your schedule and expect you to stop what you're doing to assist right away. At times we dont even have time to take lunch breaks because we're so busy. Its overwhelming, stressful, and entirely too much work for little pay. I can get paid the same or more if I were to work as a receptionist elsewhere. This is a non stop type of job. The great thing is that they are totally fine with OT because thats how much work load there is. 

I am a program director at the Fort Worth campus and I couldn't be more happy! I love my job, and working at CHCP FW has been such a blessing! I'm surrounded by individuals who take their jobs as seriously as I do, but love what they do just as much! Support from the education team and our DOE is something I have never experienced at any other school where I have worked. The majority of my day is spent with our wonderful students, but after classes in the education department completing my program director duties. I have heard numerous new instructors exalting the department because they too have never worked in such a friendly, helpful environment. Like them, I know I can always ask for help and will never be turned down. I wouldn't trade my job at CHCP for anything! 
In reference to a previous review from a former employee, I was one of the program directors here during that time and have never left for a panic attack, but if I ever do have to leave I know my team will be there to support me and hold my program together until I return!

I was very happy working with this college. I was pleased with the way the students were treated. This college really helped their students. They were honest with the students and worked extra hard to make sure the students were able to work in their field.

It is a Business a for profit college and the only thing is ninety days was not enough time to build an admissions team exspectuallyone that had had seven different Directors of Admissions in only eight years. I regret the college could not have given me more time. Overall it was a great place to work at and I would love to go back.

My day includung training, keeping reports, mentoring and meetings.

I was told that I create a lot of positive energy, I was firm but fair and gave a lot so that we could create the number based on the lack of inquires we had to work with.

Ninety days was just too short, I had great plans to create growth,
I wish the Owners, Managers and employees much sucess.

I was working as a Program Director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography DMS in Fort Worth .......what an experience.... I have been associated with education for last 22 years and working at CHCP Fort Worth is an experience I will not trade for life. All I can say is out of 5 Program Directors I was the only lucky one who did not go to hospital straight from work for a panic attack.....What a wonderful work environment.....I will briefly go over my typical day at work in this episode of review ....Its was great till I was in the class room because my students were just simply great best I ever had in all these years dedicated motivate just simply great and above all very inspiring for me I learned a lot from that .......one of the best students I ever had in all these years of working in education....they were the only reason I was there .....they kept me up and going in that extremely negative work environment and what use to happen once they were gone and the class was over ......was a nightmare ..lol ..until my next review....

The opportunity to be a part of the ripple effect of changing lives, while feeling valued in my own passion and hard work ethic is something that has rarely been replicated by other positions I've held. I can't think of a more rewarding career than helping others obtain their own career success while connecting with our community as well as the growing healthcare industry here in Austin.

To be successful when working to help our demographic, you must thrive on being challenged, while being flexible, adaptable, supportive and a consistent positive team player. There is no such thing as "down time" when you're helping to change lives!

Advice to Management
Keep a pulse on the workforce bandwidth to effectively support our growth mindset. At times we feel grossly under staffed, and frequently over worked. The quality of our customer service to our students, our employers, our community and each other suffers when that happens.

My department has had its ups and downs but I've learned a lot and appreciate my team. Many of the employees at the campus level are excited and work hard to support the students. They are eager to make education fulfilling which is great to see. It's a shame there is often little done to push those people into leadership roles or properly awarded.  The problems ultimately lay with upper management. Communication across departments is strained to say the least. Lots of last-minute tactics instead of long-term strategy and solution. No accountability for unprofessionalism. People point fingers instead of working together. They did have a decent response to COVID and often try to keep morale up with events and lunches. Overall a good place to work if you can handle unorganized and fast-paced, but there are changes to be made.
