Community Care Home Health Services

Workers and clients alike are promised the moon and then promises are ignored. When there is a question about what happened, the responsible parties refuse to accept responsibility and allow the nurses to face the wrath of the clients. When clients question why they were promised a nurse, the staff ghosts them or blames the nurse who didn't know anything about being scheduled. They lie about available shifts and hide the best clients until they get the difficult ones staffed, IF they ever do. Most clients do not have the help they have been qualified for. A huge embarrassment to nurses who want to be taken seriously and respected by clients and peers.

 The most enjoyable part is that Upper Management and Leadership is extemely supportive and they are available late evenings and during the weekends.It is also  a wonderful learning environment.
My co-worker is extremely supportive and always willing to assist. 
Everyone is friendly and you feel like part of the family . 
The hardest part of the  job for me  is the location of the offiice ( distance from my house), but I was aware of it when I accepted the position. 
I still enjoy going to the office because it is extremely clean and nicely decorated. The parking is also great .
All of the positives outweigh the one negative. 

Working at Community Care is a rewarding experience. The days are very busy but not in a stressful way. It feels good to have a productive day that flies by quickly. The management is quick to notice hard work and reward it with positive words, but also take your work into consideration for compensation. I very much enjoy working with Community Care and I recommend them as an employer.

I absolutely appreciate the transparency, culture and vision at Community Care. Management includes all of the staff when they make decisions and they actually support you. At my previous jobs, they placed unrealistic demands on the staff and blamed us when we didn't succeed. I hope to be here at Community Care for a very long time!

Working in home health care is always a challenge as the laws and situations with patients and care givers change all the time. Working for Community Care Home Health Services has provided me with not just coworkers, but a family. Everyone is there to help one another, without judgement and management hears your concerns before looking for a solution.                                                                                                                                    

Community Care has the potential to be a great company. I do believe they will eventually get there with the new CEO they recently hired. Changes are being implemented for the better. I enjoy what I do throughly but there are kinks that need to be worked out. There are pros and cons with all positions but work/life balance is important to me and my position allows for this. 

I have the flexibility to arrange my day in office and out in the field.  I enjoy being of services to individuals that need our services.  The culture is changing as more experience staff come aboard.  Upper management is open to suggestions and the mission of the company is the most important aspect of meeting the needs of participants.

 I enjoy speaking with the coordinators and letting them know what I am looking for and having them find the hours that fits right into my schedule. I feel everyone there really cares about the clients and their employees. I look forward to working for this company for years to come.

This company specifically Smithtown does not care for their employees. You’ll recieve  complaints from other employees and the patients you oversee. There is a reason why they’re always hiring. Apply at your own risk.

By far the worst agency I’ve worked with.

Constant payroll issues, upper management is in total disarray, no formal policies & procedures, forced to wear multiple hats from the ineptitude of management to get things organized, and absolutely no workflow. DO NOT ACCEPT EMPLOYMENT!!! Typical employee only lasts 3-6 months.
