What is the best part of working at the company?
The work days. 15 days a month.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
12 hour shifts .Not allowed to lock door till 5 minutes after close. They take holidays away. Not paid time & a half for OT. Change your time clock hours. No breaks or lunch. Run out of supplies. No retention bonuses for senior staff but hiring bonus for new staff. Worry more about who said something rather than what was said. Reactive management not proactive about problems. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Company does not treat employees equally. You see videos of other clinics having fun at work and engaging in activities. You think they work at a totally different company than you do. CCP is a for profit private equity company controlling healthcare. Disastrous! When asking any pertinent questions, managers tell adults they are gossiping because they legit want to know an answer. There are too many people in a position that employees don’t know what that person’s role is. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
0800 start seeing patients. Have no clue when you truly get off work. Close sign says 8pm but company won’t let you leave till 5 minutes after. If patient comes in at 8 pm while you’re waiting to leave at 8:05 pm, you can be there for an hour or more. If you have family waiting for you to get off, tough. Keep in mind this isn’t an ER. After working 12+ hours how dare you not get to go home when it’s time.

A typical day would start out checking my emails and responding to them accordingly. Get ready for any appts I may have had for the day (Tuesday and Thursdays ) Greet applicants, take them to the area to test, take necassary documents and make copies. Grade assessments to see if they passed. Conduct interview, run background check and print out voucher for drug screen. Discuss which clinics I had an opening at and see where they would want to be placed if for an externship. If it were for a hire set up an interview between them and clinic manager. Constantly reviewing applications on line and set up new applicant appointments. Keep reports up to date, making sure all information was up to date.Conduct exit interviews as employees left. Do all necessary paperwork when peolple left the company, term them out of 3 different systems, and document in system reasons for leaving. Do all necessay paperwork when someone was hired. Conduct orientation for new hires and externs too. I enjoyed my job and the one on one with co workers and appliciants.The most enjoyable part of the job was when someone got hired or a promotion. The least was when someone got terminated.

I have worked at SouthStar for the past two years. I joined the SouthStar team at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, so I have had my share of stressful, busy days, as most people in the healthcare field have had, but I believe working with the SouthStar team during this hard time helped me grow as a person and as a team member. My managers are not just "bosses." They are friends who truly care about my life and if I succeed and reach my full potential. They push me to better myself everyday that I am at work and encourage me to do the same with my personal life. I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that I can go to them with anything! I have never felt that they viewed me as just an employee here to do a job for them. That is not the culture at SouthStar. There has been a lot of growth in the company over the past few years, so there have been changes to get accustomed to, but without change there is no growth. I know that even after the changes, they still have the team members best interest at heart. The growth of the company has given better opportunities for raises and promotions, and I have seen those happen firsthand. I plan to stay with SouthStar Urgent Care for a long long time to come!

They do not value their LPN’s at all, paying medical assistants almost as much or more.  Did not really feel a sense of team work, certain team members were “the favorites” got away with doing half the work making me feel overwhelmed having to pick the slack up  and or running late daily with me being the only team member to get patients ready to see the provider at the busiest time of the morning. “favorite” members leaving mid shift when the volume of the clinic was high leaving you to triage alone ect. Mgmt is very much so a gossip fest talking bad and being unprofessional gossiping about members to other members. We Would run out of supplies almost daily. no time for lunch, not going home on time due to volume of the clinic and mgmt not allowing us to close doors at closing time  due to them being money hungry . I could go on..  wouldn’t recommend working for this company unless you’re  an LPN who wants to be taken advantage of, overworked with absolutely no compensation!

Working at Community Care Partners has been a positive experience overall. There have been some challenges, particularly with situations where certain individuals seem to take on roles that extend beyond their responsibilities, which can sometimes create confusion within the clinic structure. That said, the learning experience and collaboration with the team have been valuable.

Coming into the clinic with 21 years of experience, including running my own urgent care, adjusting to different workflows and systems has taken some time. There are moments where feedback shared with upper management during meetings or one-on-one discussions is heard, but the response or follow-through can occasionally take longer than expected.

At times there can be a slight feeling of being out of place, especially when one person tends to take on most tasks or when a provider consistently works with the same MA. Building trust and encouraging balanced teamwork will continue to be important for strengthening the clinic environment.

Overall, I have enjoyed working here and appreciate the opportunity to be part of the team.

Typical day includes doing office work, checking in patients, insurance verification, managing phone lines and most of the time doing other employees' work. You learn there is no advancement with this job, unequal pay for employees doing the same work, sometimes even doing more work and still underappreciated and underpaid. Be prepared to handle a lot of phone calls, normal patient calling for facility information and A LOT of pharmacy calls. Management is not local, best bet if you run into any problems or concerns is to give the manager a call ONLY during normal business hours, outside of those hours your best bet is to call the front desk at a different branch for help. You learn to bite your tongue in order to not upset patients, managers, and supervisors. Plus how to maneuver and answer patient questions without giving them full details. Honestly, there is no enjoyable part of this job. Be prepared to work an hour after closing, patients love to come in at the very last minute.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Seeing patients and helping them with their ailments.  However, with the recent management changes, the work environment is less favorable and scheduling is not favorable.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management changes, has affected scheduling and time off for providers.  High staff turnover, affects many aspects of the patient encounter, from front office to back office.  The skill level of staff has definitely diminished since the corporate buy out in 2022.  Provider turnover is starting to increase due to these changes.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Since the corporate buy out in 2022, corporate management changes has made the environment impersonal.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy with high volume.  Normally this is okay, however, when staff is suboptimal, makes for very frustrating experience in dealing with the high volume.

A typical day at work is greeting patients and communicating their needs with the provider team. I have a behavioral Health background it has been interesting and educational to learn the medical aspect of healthcare. The manager at my clinic is an individual who understands the work environment and helps her employees find work/life balance. The culture inspires teamwork, accountability, and compassion allowing me to reach my potential and do what I love best...helping people who are in need. The hardest part of my job has been transitioning into 12-hour shifts, but I am finding a routine that fits my professional goals and personal life. The most enjoyable part of my job is that it feels like home, the team, the patients, and the environment are conducive to self-care, professionalism, and some fun mixed in.

I loved what I did when I work at TMC, we had a little bit of everything come in. I did not like that the manager was unprofessional. I did not like that us as Medical Assistants were overworked. You get paid very little for as much as you do there. Medical benefits there are a joke. If you are needing benefits for your children TMC, does not help. Many of my co-workers had state benefits for the lack of benefit compensation from TMC. I loved the JOB, hated the politics. Coming to work on a daily basis was full of politics and coworkers talking bad upon the new employees, as well as externs. Everyday that I worked, I worked a straight 8, sometime 11-12 hours with NO break what so ever. Your work schedule is work 10 days in a row off 4. Or, work 7 days in a row. When you were scheduled at other works clinics, the staff were NEVER friendly to you. Many of my co-workers and doctors talked nothing about bad on the patients. All in all just very unprofessional.
