This is going to be a long review but hopefully it helps anyone looking for employment here. It's a good first experience for someone fresh out of school or as a stepping stone in a professional career. I feel like I learned a lot here especially with the diverse patient population. I literally saw every scenario imaginable. My direct supervisor was always accommodating to my school needs and was always able to find a solution when I needed to change days of the week. They also were very easy to talk to. The salary in my opinion is the lowest compared to other health care facilities in Florida. Benefits are spotty, insurance is sub par and only offers full coverage if you'd like to be seen within the facility. No hazard pay for COVID times. All they did was put up some balloons for appreciation and gave us some candy bags with t-shirts. Equipment is old and outdated and the office management computer system always has problems. I feel like they don't really care about their employees so "patient care comes first" will always be their biggest failure until they realize that a happy employee will give good services to patients. There's no room for growth and you have to let patients abuse you. They don't care if you're right or if a chair is being thrown at you... "patients are always right". Be careful with what you say around there because everyone talks and gossips. The culture is repugnant. This is not the right place to settle down in unless you have a high rank position, otherwise keep on lookin'.

There is a culture of backstabbing and false narratives inside closed doors. The higher ups are buddy buddies, and you know what that means, they got each other's back, NOT yours. BEWARE for the corporate staff that has been working here for a long time. They will text and call each other at nighttime, when out of the office, at all times of the day, to complain about YOU, about your coworkers, about your looks, about how you smell, about how you talk, walk, and do anything around them, to anyone that will listen, just to fit the picture they're trying to paint about you. You lose any potential friends, you lose professional relationships, you lose opportunities to work in other departments, and you lose the support of your coworkers because they will see you differently once they get wind of the rumors that are spread about you by your own corporate leader to other leaders and to other departments, in other health centers, even. Toxic work environment all around.

•	Regularly leverages HIT expertise to collect and document impact analysis for grant support at both the program and agency levels. Implemented new procedures to update complex reporting and medical billing streams.
•	Regularly collaborates with decision-makers of lead pharmaceutical companies; organizes information sharing forums while monitoring organizational strategy outcomes and objectives 
•	Hosts professional foreign-language skills, directly interfaces with the Florida Department of Health leads to evaluate program impacts for Spanish and French speaking grantees
•	Supports in securing program engagement amongst health industry professionals, more than $26M of funds allocated organizational-wide in latest fiscal year. Attends seminars and organizes networking events.
•	Coordinates executive communications for more than 70 points-of contacts weekly, publishes public-facing service delivery documentation

What is the best part of working at the company?
I enjoyed working in a community health setting, where I saw a high volume of patients from different cultural backgrounds. I had a passion for caring for this population of mentally ill patients. I was also driven to develop my phenomenon of interest for my research.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working for the company was the no-show rate and sometimes patients were disrespectful to staff; however, I was equipped to deal with these patients. Of course, I used a therapeutic approach to these patients with good outcomes.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A population of multicultural staff as well as stations. One annual event that took place was our annual cultural day, when all staff members came together and displayed their culture through artwork, culinary skills, music, etc.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I am very busy; I would see 30 or more patients on a given day. At the end of a given work day, I still find time to go to the gym or attend yoga class to stay centered.

Community Health of South Florida is a great place to work. I enjoyed being in a place where healthcare is affordable for low-income workers and that is appreciated for those that are            non-insured. While working for the company I was in the frontline position taking information for existing and non-existing patients and checking patients into their appointments. Just like any job it's very difficult in the beginning because you become swamped with all these medical codes but eventually it'll become easy. My advice is to remain professional and don't share your personal life in the workplace. Management is pretty good and available at all times never had issues with them. I've learned to not be afraid to ask questions. Also,you will never know everything and you shall ask for help anytime you get stuck.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Lots if favoritism and racism within departments. Administration and executive staffs turn a blind eye to a lot of unfairness and bullying. Positions are held not for the qualified but for the family of important staffs or well known staffers. No room for growth because all positions fo to family members with no skills or experience nor knowledge. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Short staff, raise starts at 1 cent to 25 cents per 5 years and every position has a pay limit 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Rude executive staffers if an employee is not at their level they don't acknowledge or greet you in hallways 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and highly toxic environment.  Managers break rules and bully those who try to follow policies

Management have the wrong expectation working as an outpatient case manager. They want you to complete 148 units a week while traveling, waiting for clients, going to court, to appointments with client. link client to all resources available, get them their medications from the pharmacy to those who cannot come to pick then up and other issues. 148 units a week is unrealistic when you cannot charge Medicaid, Medicare or other insurances for traveling, waiting with client in court or appointments, taking them to Social Security appointments or DCF appointments and even take them for jobs hunting. They want you to lie when dropping the units pretty much.

This job is amazing when it comes to furthering your credentials. I was able to get certified in mental Health work, HIV, and community health work. The down side is that management has there favorites I basically lost my position to the supervisors family that came off the street with no experience where I put in a lot of blood sweat and ambition to my job my coworkers tell me all the time how they miss my contributions. The same supervisor gave me a lousy and lazy end of the year review to stunt my pay and growth. This is an organization to get your experience and move on to somewhere more professional and a higher pay.

When I worked for CHI Miami in the main clinic, I enjoyed working with diverse patients and staff. The hours are great for families - little to no evenings or weekends. I loved how inclusive the leadership was - loved the special programs they provided and our annual cultural day celebration.  
To top it off, working for CHI gave me a sense of really helping and giving back. We served the most vulnerable members of our community by providing transportation to and from the center, signing patients up for programs to help cover their care, and offering lower prices for medications at the pharmacy - no insurance needed. I felt like I was actually making a difference in people’s lives. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
It's a family atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and courteous. The cafeteria sells good food for a reasonable price. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
As outreach you will be asked for help constantly, and often by the same people. Then you realize some need more help than you can give, and some you have given to much help. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is family oriented. Everyone seems as is they care and will have time to lesten.
