Caution Advised. This organization exhibits a number o significant deficiencies. The compensation is inadequate, the insurance premiums are high (even if you pick the lower cost premium, it doesn't cover anything with huge deductible) . Management Displays a concerning lack of attentiveness and care. As does HR. They are unresponsive to employee concerns, show favoritism to certain employees, but appear to only prioritize their own interests. 
Furthermore, Management seems to lack awareness of the dynamics in individual office's due to their very infrequent presence and lack of knowledge of how the offices run on  a daily basis. ( Managers of Ma's and secretaries do not even know to to check someone in)
For employees with children, there is an evident discomfort regarding absences related to their child's illness, often leading to feeling guilty about having to leave if needed. this company exhibits a strong focus of profit maximization and has shifted towards a cooperate model contrary to the "private practice" ethos it purports to uphold.  No wonder why there is such a high turnover. 

In my experience, a typical day involved performing every aspect of a medical office setting. Everyday duties included clearing voicemail messages, returning calls, electronically submitting prescription requests, registering patients, providing medical records after receiving authorization from patients.
Scheduling testing (MRI, CT Scan etc), obtaining prior authorizations scheduling surgical procedures. 
New aspects of the position involved learning new guidelines and requirements requested by the federal government,
The workplace culture was pleasant.
The most difficult part of the job was adhering and completing tasks in 28.5 hours a week, especially as more demands were being made.
The most enjoyable part of the position were the wonderful patients and great co-workers.

Connecticut orthopedics is a good place to work at. The pay is good and the benefits are also good. Medical insurance is a bit expensive though. The billing office is pretty laid-back but very busy and you have to stay on top of your game otherwise that will not be tolerated. Overall if you do your job, and it’s on time, and you respect everyone else, overall have good work ethic‘s you’ll be fine.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Hours were flexible, benefits and pension were good.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You had to be at your desk sitting most of the time which puts stress on your body. New Director yelled instead of talking to staff when there were issues.

High volume, doctors overbook their schedules often working through lunch. Offices aren’t staffed appropriately and X-ray does a lot of extra work other than imaging that medical assistants should be doing. salary is below market and health benefits aren’t affordable. 

Your workday here can be very busy or somewhat slow. It was more towards the very busy end. The staff made the busy days worth it. Most days you worked would be over your typical 8 hour day even though you were only scheduled for 8. If you don't mind working hard and getting rewarded for that then I would recommend this place may be for you.

Connecticut Orthopaedics is a place that values hard work, emphasizes employee engagement, and truly cares about their employees.  I love my job because everyday I have the opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with great doctors, management and staff. It is overall a great company to work for and grow with.

Upper and middle management is completely void of any skills.  Favoritism is the only way you get promoted.  HR is not at all concerned about its employees.  Doctors are only concerned about putting more money in their own pockets.  Absolutely no common sense goes into any decision making.  

I work as an aide here and the management as well as full time employees are all amazing. They have such a positive and fun environment which makes the day go by quickly. They are easy to work with and adjust for any scheduling needs. 

Management is the worse. They don’t know what they are doing. They promise you everything when you get hired but don’t give anything. They work you like a horse and you don’t get a raise
