The training was 1 week of information from a manual then 1 week of nesting where you take incoming calls just fewer than a normal worker on a production floor. You do get paid for training and the 1 hour orientation but you can in fact tell that management is disorganized. It seems disorganized because there's a lack of communication between team leaders when hiring new people. Other than that, the training website was barely accessible during training. 

Working here so far isn't horrible though. It's been fine, I will say that the job makes the day feel like it goes by so slow.


Biggest Downsides:
-Semi-Monthly pay. You work 3 weeks but only get paid for 2 of them. So you work until the 7th & 21st but don't get paid for the week of the 7th and 21st. Just the two before that :/ So in reality you're paid the next month for two weeks of the previous month and only once per month are you being paid for hours actually worked during that month. This really is demotivating...
-Low Hourly Pay compared to the influx of calls you take
-Constantly changing information that starts to confuse both you and the people you help. 
-Angry callers blaming you for the company mistakes
-Callers provided with incorrect information on who to contact about issues so they call and ask why they called you. 
-Feels like a daily grind with the amount of incoming calls. 
-Can become stressful
-Have to report in a team chat Everytime you walk away instead of simply using the application they provide to show that you walked away for something as simple as peeing. 
-Have to clock out just to use the bathroom if mid-shift.
-Work life Balance as a Full time isn't the best if you truly care about your life as much as/more than your job. This will take up majority of your days out the year. They say some days are slow but I haven't seen it yet. 


Don't see yourself working here for too long. This is more so a job I think is best for earning income as you look to transition into a career that better fits you.  I gave it 3 stars because it's still an easy job to get and work from home.

I believe I learned that this company has been continuously putting on the biggest facade, claiming to care about their employees. When in fact you are literally just "another number" and they don't really want to "keep you", "hire from within", or "promote their own".
You more than likely WILL NOT KNOW who your higher ups are unless you ask. (that in itself does not foster a positive, "team like" feeling. 
A typical day at work being a WFH job, you will log in and be in a GROUP chat with your assigned team via MICROSOFT TEAMS.
When you are set to be "let go"(not even 6 months after employment) they will pull you in to a teams chat (with random folks that you aren't aware are  even on the call with you) and told they will be having to let you go due to a "reduction in force". Funny thing is you were trying to log in and get back to work but you were noticing unexpected system errors were occurring for you and your co-workers in your group "coincidentally". Coincidence ? I thinks NOT CONNEXUS lol.
Management is cold hearted and disconnected. No real introduction of who your higher ups are unless YOU ask.
Workplace culture - you are just a number so the culture is what you make of it. You will come in contact with some awesome, caring individuals (IT MORE THAN LIKELY WON'T be your TL or your JR. GENERAL MANAGER). 
The hardest part of the job is being expected to follow a knowledge base that DOES NOT HAVE all the required answers it should. So that alone makes doing your "job" more difficult and frustrating in itself.
The most enjoyable part of the job is speaking with kind, funny customers. Making their days and assisting them with any and all concerns however I was able. Also, meeting co-workers who were caring, knowledgeable, and relatable.

I would not recommend you or anyone wasting their time on this MORAL-LESS company and becoming associated with their disgrace of leadership and compassion for their employees. YOU DESERVE MORE THAN TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS!!! PLEASE BEWARE!!!! 

Typical day at Global Response is to arrive 30 minutes prior to your shift because there is not enough parking for everyone and you'll end up parking in a field with NO lights when you leave at night. We only had 2 days of training and the instructors refused to answer any questions, just showed a slide presentation and told us all we each had one question before going out on the floor then we were on our own.  The trainers also tried to steal our headsets which we had to pay $50 out of our 1st check.  They were selling the headsets on ebay and bragging about it giving the new employees old beatup headsets.  There was one manager at the Margate location that was pleasant, so thumbs up to him, but the rest were pathetic.  The coworkers would leave food, gum, hair, snot on their desks and it was a very dirty atmosphere.  They did allow you to bring your purse and cell phone to your desk as long as the phone was off.  We were never given any lunch or dinner breaks, only 2 fifteen minute breaks which never gave us enough time to eat or use the restroom.  Heaven forbid you are having bathroom issues like diarrhea, vomiting, etc. The hardest part of the job was trying to learn everything that the trainers left out or if you had an issue or question with a customer on the line, we had to hold up a BIG RED HAND to signal we needed help but most of the managers ignored you to the point, sometimes we would have to physically go get the manager.  Of course they didn't like that because it embarrassed them.  The most enjoyable part of the job was assisting the customers with their clothing orders or just cheering them up.  Some people are by themselves during the holidays and this was a temporary job just before Christmas so it made me feel good to send some kindness their way, even if it was over the phone to hear them smile or laugh.  I really love helping customers, it makes me happy!

Worked with two separate accounts, both as a "temp to permanent" position, which is basically the company's way of saying we'll keep you on until we don't need you anymore without needing to give you benefits. They say they will give you permanent when they feel like they want to keep you on. I know people who have been there 10 months, still no perm. I think a company would know by 10 months. Training is sporadic. I had wonderful training on one account, then terrible terrible terrible training on the other. They will move you from different accounts if one is downsizing and they like your work. Basically, if you don't ever call out or don't be late, they want to keep you on (as temp). I ended up leaving because the stress of not knowing what I was doing on the sales floor on the new account. The trainer literally acted inconvenienced if anyone asked questions in class, would roll her eyes, or just down right ignore people if they had questions/raised their hand. The first account was wonderful. I felt prepared to get on the phones from day one. It was very thorough. The team was amazing, management was amazing, very supportive of their staff. Second team was not, so I decided to no longer stay with the company. Hardest part of the job is understanding the programs they offer each account and just being able to multi-task talking to a customer and doing your CS job, while keeping your times on the phones or chat to a minimum. Also, they only offer two 15 minutes breaks, HOWEVER, most of the trainers/managers will let you know in training that you can opt for an ADDITIONAL 30 minute lunch break if you come in to work 30 minutes earlier or later than your intended shift (depending on the account). This way you still get your total 40 hours a week, which I really enjoyed. I loved not losing 2.5 hours each week due to lunches. People who complain about breaks just didn't want to come in for the extra 30 a day.

The job itself is simple and enjoyable, you get to help people in need, which is great.

The problem with the company are the Team Leads and their ever changing rules. Training lasted a week or two (don't remember) but everything seemed simple and straightforward. Was doing great for weeks until they decided to change something or throw in something new that was not discussed in training. Got pulled aside for 1on1s with Team Lead, always got great grades on my calls but was still coached for things they had not mentioned or things they said were okay previously. One of the times I got pulled aside for a 1on1 the Team Lead sounded disappointed that I got a 90%+ on my call, then started nitpicking at what I could improve on.

There's also really no chance for advancement, they just pick favorites. People who have been there for a while, doing a great job, get overlooked for the new employees who interact more in the chat, it's not really fair.

Not friendly towards neurodivergents. Not everyone works the same or handles people the same. They need to understand that instead of trying to force them to be nuerotypical. They're big on building rapport, which can be difficult when the average call lasts 4mins and most of that time is spent asking the questions on the enrollment forms. We were told we could put people on hold if we weren't comfortable with that, but a few weeks later was told that hold time could be used to build rapport and was written up for it. And that's just one example of how they change things for no reason/without notice.

Overall, would not recommend this company. Maybe if they had an actual plan on how they want employees to handle calls, they would be a good company, but for now, they change things too often and write you up for the smallest things, even if your calls are given high grades.

As an agent, a typical day consists of a healthy flow of calls, sometimes with a few minutes between calls, allowing for a reset. 

In a leadership position, it can be quite hectic sometimes, and requires good time management, but that allows for significant freedom in planning your own day as well as in the exact way you like to operate.

I've learned more at this job than any of my others - I learn more every day on how to be a good leader, a good teacher, and how to be charismatic in general.

The management is the #1 best aspect of the company (perhaps tied with the ability to work from home in many positions). Every manager I have had has been an absolute joy to work with, and I hope I am following suit.

The culture depends on the exact team you're on, but it is consistently friendly and inviting, with varying levels of laid-back-ness.

The most difficult part of the job for an agent comes down to maintaining composure no matter what is going on, whether there are major changes to the systems we use, or calls have been back to back all day, or a customer just really rubbed you the wrong way.

My favorite part of being an agent was talking with interesting characters and hearing a little about what's going on with them.

As a leader, the hardest part is changing the course of my team when requested. It can be quite challenging to make sure everyone is on the same page and following the same rulebook.

The most enjoyable part of the job is helping each of my agents to improve on their skillsets, especially for agents who end up climbing the ladder and advancing their career. Very exciting.

My only real gripe with the company is the lacking benefits, as someone with significant medical and dental issues.

I have never reviewed the company but this is an honest review. I was hired and Global Response to go ahead and do a temporary account. and they also told me that if I exceeded I would go ahead and the offered a permanent position on the actual establishment. from when I started training it was pretty apparent that they didn't screen anybody really when it comes to computer knowledge. everybody on the account besides a couple of individuals really didn't understand how to use computers and unfortunately, the trainer had to train the class and also become  IT support which slowed us down and it put us being me the class behind. it was frustrating but I'm guessing every job comes with its frustrations. the thing was more apparent was that some of the management there is condescending to another in a rude way but in a way where they're nice to you but you could see it double intention clearly after you think about it afterward also the training is not very focused you try to learn as much as you can and you could try to cram as much as you can but there are times where you will need help from management and they will not be able to help you and you have to figure things out on yourself that I feel is not acceptable not just for me as an employee but for people, in general, my time with Global Response wasn't the best one but I hope whoever reads this will understand This is the type of company you will be applying for.

What can I say about this company? For starters …… who still had employees taking back to back calls and still finding it acceptable to only pay them $12-$13 an hr? This is 2023! It’s really an insult! Talking about low work morale. Employees might as well be working in a sweat shop! Secondly, what company would like for their employees to sound like robots, but still sound empathetic? It doesn’t work well. What makes things worst is you have TL or Supervisors so dizzy and pressed for a job that they don’t even think for one moment about the fact that their teams are over worked, under paid and honestly not appreciated. This company gets rid of individuals at the drop of a dime for little reasons and sometimes even none! How this company is still thriving is beyond me! Employees still literally get 30 min lunches and literally are never offered overtime! Oh and ask about the company paid holidays? Pretty much none. They’ll give you the day off, but you’re not special enough or better yet, AMERICAN ENOUGH TO BE DESERVING OF PAID HOLIDAYS!! This company is a joke! PAYL BEDELL, you’d do yourself some Justice by really revamping the whole company! There are some really hard working and nice people out here working in some of these roles for the company and yet you think 12-13 an hr is deserving. This is not 1999! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The training is inadequate, and it’s clear they don’t care that you’ll be out of a job at the end of the season. Since they hired us to manage accounts for other companies, they prefer firing employees rather than addressing issues with the accounts themselves. They discourage building friendships within the company, even going as far as not allowing us to say goodbye to coworkers at the end of a campaign. They explained that some people were invited to stay on for other campaigns while others weren’t, and they didn’t want the layoffs to be awkward or prompt questions like, “Why did so-and-so stay and I didn’t?” It’s a strange approach. Benefits begin after six months, offering basic coverage, but you’re lucky if you’re even still in a campaign by then to take advantage of it. I was able to have benefits for 1 pay cycle before my campaign ended and they had no more work for me. So I paid it for 1 paycycle and didnt get to use it. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sucky Training and not knowing if you'd have a job next week.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty strict and back-stabby with some TL who are very ambitious and will trample over people to show they are better. They say they are a resource to help, and when you ask for help, they refer you to a PDF manual or Sharepoint site. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
LONG nervous days. The TL gets annoyed when you ask them stuff.

I worked at Global for 5 years. Starting on one account as an agent. We went through a revolving door of managers as our client was pretty hard to please. I ended up getting promoted to Supervisor after 2 years of being an agent. After 2 years of being supervisor our account was closed so I went to another account as an Admin agent. The owners are very present but do not know alot of the people who work for them. No matter how long you have worked there, you are just a body in a seat. Takes A LOT of time and almost begging to receive a raise. Your co-workers for the most part are amazing its a call center so drama and gossip are all part of it, along with supervisors and managers being right in the middle of it. The whole HR Department is untrustworthy.  I have seen over qualified candidates sent away because a manager's child "needed a job". I have seen the owner's friends brought in as managers when they knew absolutely nothing about the account they were about to take over. If you can get in with the inner circle of managers and supervisors you will be fine but be prepared to pretty much feel like a ghost rooming the building and the same routine everyday. On the bright side they have a team of people who put together little things for the agents like ice cream, teas, meals through out the year, the whole month of December is spirit days every day so that is really fun.
