A typical day at work
I manage incoming calls, schedule shifts, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations. The fast-paced work keeps me on my toes, but the flexible schedule helps me stay balanced and productive.

What I've learned
Clear communication and adaptability are key. Every day brings new challenges, and staying organized and calm under pressure is essential, especially with last-minute changes.

Management
Management is supportive and trusts me to manage my schedule while ensuring the team is well-staffed. They value feedback and create an environment where I can work independently but always feel supported.

The hardest part of the job
The hardest part is managing unexpected changes, like last-minute cancellations or emergencies. It can be stressful, but staying calm and having good relationships with the team helps.

The most enjoyable part of the job
I enjoy knowing that I’m helping ensure patients get the care they need, even if I’m not directly providing it. The flexible schedule also makes it easier to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The company genuinely rewards hard work. Due to the pay structure, those willing to put the time and effort into the job are directly rewarded financially. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful aspect of this company is your dependence of other nurses and facilities. Many times you may drive to where an order has been placed and due to lacking communication or understanding of processes, we are unable to place the ordered line. If nurses are lacking in communicating changes or line appropriateness, we end up wasting time that could have been advantageous for others.   

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I have found all coworkers extremely supportive with an above average willingness to help. I have never worked anywhere else as a nurse where my manager is so receptive and understanding.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Order times and volume varies day to day. Some days you place a single line at 8 different hospitals/facilities. Other times you may do 12 at one single location. Every day is a bit different than the next.

DO NOT WORK HERE! Working as an overnight dispatcher from home things were simple. What drove me from the company was the poor management and the terrible pay.  Even though I was with the company before the merger and was one of the top dispatchers, I got very little recognition and had no chance at growing within the company. The pay was poor and after 3 years I barely saw any sort of a decent raise. Turnover rate was so high and management was so poor that I was constantly asked to train the new hires, when I would ask for some pay increase due to training new hires I was met with an immediate no and she would then train them. Their training was so poor I received multiple complaints from the nurses we worked with and the companies we serviced. If you're considering working here, especially as an overnight dispatcher I would just walk away. On overnights specifically you are completely neglected and treated as if you dont exist. If you have any family emergencies, are sick, or anything, you will never be allowed to call off. No matter what the issue is management will force you to work through it

Since I have started at Dynamic Access, the team has been wonderful.  Everyone is welcoming and ready to answer any questions I may have.  Don't get me wrong, we all work very hard.  There are long days and many meetings.  However, I am left each day feeling like I contributed and added value to the table.  That doesn't happen in all jobs.  

Everything about our company and our team is very clearly focused on doing the best job we can to improve patient's lives and health. That provides a greater sense of purpose in everything that we do. Our team comprises a vast majority of highly skilled clinicians and others who are anxious to support the goal of excellent patient outcomes.

driving in traffic during rush hour

work environment is very autonomous but have great support when need arises for questions and guidance

Have worked for this company for a few years now and it is great. You have to be self motivated as we have a ton of autonomy.
Have been really well supported by management.

Downsides:
No PTO policy unless state mandated. However, the way our pay periods are structured, it is still possible to get up to 2 weeks off together while still getting paid 

Lots of driving 

Your contract will say one thing but they will expect way more out of you. Management expects you to work outside of your available 10 hours a day and they will often schedule you 3+ hours of drive time one way expecting you to be “flexible.” Just be careful, it looks like a great gig and it was for while until they take advantage.
