Fast-paced organization with little room for error, culture is very dependent on the team you're in. The team I'm on has friendly, genuine leaders who care but I've seen many other departments of the opposite. 

Boundaries need to be enforced if you want a work-life balance, otherwise you won't get it. HQ teams only respond to you when you're of a certain seniority, otherwise it can be hard to illicit responses even for important matters.

Room for growth and opportunity for promotion is available but depends on how hard your manager is willing to fight for you. Not all departments have a regular proper performance review cycle.

A lot of growing pains but gradually seems to be moving in the right direction in terms of process and systems, but feel like we are lacking in genuinely strategic leadership.  A lot of inaction on the part of leadership for smaller regions yet a lot of pressure is applied which doesn't come across fair. 

At Darktrace they really throw recent grads in to the job and you either sink or swim. There is some training at the beginning, but afterwards it is really up to the rep to build their skills and perform without much support. Great product, fun to sell. The office environment is fun and fairly relaxed. There are high and sometimes unattainable expectations from management with little support. Still on a monthly quota, rather than quarterly, which means the end of every month is very stressful. Extremely daunting travel schedule. Most weeks you are traveling from anywhere between Colorado, Texas, Illinois, etc. at least 3-4 days out of the week. Easy to get burned out quickly.

Where do I even start....terrible company culture that turns a blind eye to people breaking the rules to get ahead. If you produce results, it doesn’t matter what type of person you are to upper management. Management is even worse. Not only do people get promoted into management roles that have no idea what they’re doing, but they also seem to be in love with micromanaging every single employee. It’s very sad as the technology is actually extremely valuable. 

Employees don’t matter at Darktrace. All you are is a means to an end in hitting insanely high numbers their HQ in Cambridge set. Run away from this company and don’t look back.  

I came into Darktrace extremely hopeful and optimistic about the opportunities for career advancement and development. Instead, I found that as a sales rep, I am the cow, and Darktrace is the farmer. They care about nothing other than sales numbers and $$, which is understandable, but not great for career development. There is very little upward mobility on this current path, and I do not feel supported by upper management. That being said, the team leads are really good, but overall employee moral is extremely low and I don't see the company doing anything to address it.

It’s great they hire young professionals right out of college but just assesses standard skills (GPA, interpersonal) more than technical knowledge about cyber security and IT.  A really good place if you’re new to IT but the work culture shared with sales team is toxic and stressful.  Sales are going to push you to say and do things beyond your scope and can make your work harder when they over promise on capabilities.  If you’re not interested in pursuing sales engineering as your main career path, either look elsewhere or plan to laterally move within the company.  

Everything I was told about this job was a lie. As a CSM, they don't give you enough accounts and most don't like us so renewals and upsells are seldom. The culture in the LA office is toxic and there is little to no opportunity to advance. They are now making CSMs cold call for no reason and forcing initiatives on us the destroy our credibility and relationship with their clients. I have been told by management to lie on internal reports as well as to my clients. Do not trust them.

Awful culture when i was there. Total boys club, everyone spends every day complaining about work making it super toxic. People dont respect common decency if you have already met with someone, will try and steal anything if they get the chance and management doesn't care or enforce rules.

The salary is a bit lower than other security companies.

The most enjoyable part of the job: team bonding.

Analyze sales performance by assessing outreach, touch points, and overall success to develop action plans, identify trends, and formulate alternative forms of outreach to improve results.  Qualify and pursue prospects in various industries across 11 states on the East Coast and serve as companies’ point of contact when traction is achieved.

The psoition was inside sales, and nothing super special. We had to cold call 60+ calls and send a tons of emails and linkedin connects. The issue is that the territory is already super saturated and flooded so people get annoyed by the sales calls.

The pay was decent, but the goals were not easy to obttain.
