I know that not many people love their job, but you do have to enjoy it to be able to get up every morning and go in.. knowing that you are assisting the providers with making a difference in someone's life is rewarding in itself.. The providers here are amazing to work for, they give great patient care, and are very sensitive to their patients needs..

I enjoy coming into work and seeing my work family (I call them family because I am with them more often than home).. these ladies bring a smile to my face, and the best of women to work beside. we all strive to give the best patient care, and on many occasions received compliments on how professional our company is. the team I work with personally help push me to be the best employee I can be and person overall.. don't get me wrong there are good days and bad days, but I can honestly say that the good days outweigh the bad.. but at the end of the day we get everything accomplished and we do it together..

The office managers are extremely supportive, reliable, and I feel comfortable to express any concerns that I may have or questions that I need answered. the office managers motivate me to reach my full potential as an employee.. we have great group gatherings as a company, and if there is ever an issue we meet together to figure out the best way to resolve it!! the company has gone above and beyond with this pandemic of not only keeping patients safe but also our staff.. they make sure that all guidelines have been implemented, and continue to make this a safe enviroment for all..

I would encourage anyone considering this position to ask detailed questions about the training process and management style before accepting the job.

My experience was that the physician I worked with frequently communicated in a way that I found intimidating and dismissive. The environment was very fast-paced, and I often felt that questions or mistakes made while learning were met with impatience rather than coaching. While I understand that efficiency is important in a busy practice, I believe new employees should be given clear expectations, constructive feedback, and an opportunity to improve before termination is considered.

There was very little structured onboarding, and much of the training consisted of learning while trying to keep up with a busy clinic schedule. I appreciated the opportunity to learn dermatology, but I do not feel that the support provided to new employees matched the expectations placed on them.

This may be a good fit for someone who thrives under intense pressure and minimal guidance. For me, the management and communication style made it difficult to succeed despite my willingness to learn and work hard.


I love my time that I have been working for DSWO. Doctors are amazing as well as the mid levels. Most staff and providers have become like family. Yes, they have things that need to be worked out, but what doctors office and business does not? For me the only con would be communication. That needs some work. They are very flexible with needing time off. They do expect you to do your job, show up to your job, and do it correctly. Some of the issues with staff are the fact they just don’t want to work. Just show up, put in little effort, and get paid for it. There are a lot of call offs, again staff that are not wanting to put the work in. As long as you do your job you do not have an issue with management. I would definitely recommend working here if you are self driven, a hard worker, and can leave your personal drama at home.   

I would never recommend this company to anyone and for everyone employed there, I give my best wishes that hope you will be able to find something better soon. If you are desperate for a job and you have no other options, take the job but keep looking. This is not a long term employment kind of place to work. Which is evident by the high turnover. Only take a job with this company as a last resort.
The problems start at the very top with leadership and it trickles down. This company is buying up practices left and right, but they don’t care about building a healthy environment for the employees. There is nothing I saw that would indicate anyone who makes the decisions has consideration for how it will effect the employees below them. Poor pay. Manipulative leadership. Toxic culture. Stressful. Disrespectful treatment of employees (especially of women). The leadership says what you want to hear and then turns around only to do something completely different. Run away quickly.

Do not work here if you are looking for a satisfying and rewarding place of employment. Management will falsely promise benefits and other things to employees before they are hired and then not follow through. The workplace drama is comical and over looked. Good work ethic is rewarded with more responsibility but without incentive or compensation. HR is not employee friendly and makes it difficult for employees to address concerns or issues. This place is cheap and their only focus is on how to save money. They do not care about their employees and it shows in the many ways they treat them. God forbid you need to take time away, whether for planned or unplanned time like being sick, they will make it extremely difficult for you. Anything that goes against the company saving money, you will be penalized. Just do not work here. You will regret it 

The management is not well structured and they do not care about their employees. Favoritism is also a very big issue between management and certain employees. There is very little room for growth or advancement within the company - you’re either a receptionist or a medical assistant making raises very minimal. They under pay their staff compared to similar job roles in the area because they are only interested in expanding to new locations across Columbus. The company is like a revolving door and there is a very high turn over rate causing new hires to be thrown into their job role without proper training. Overall I would not recommend wasting your time working here. 

To have work for this company has been nothing but amazing. The teamwork and effort that everyone shows is compassionate and caring, especially with patient care. Team members come together to make it all work and to me that is what makes you love your job cause you consider everyone family and that makes you want to wake up everyday and come to work.

The company itself has been more than welcoming since joining their team. they are very helpful and resourceful. Mangement is always available to answer any questions and there to assist when needed. 

I would highly recommend this company to anyone based on my personal experience. 

DOCS bought out a practice that was a sinking ship and allowed the sinking to continue despite efforts of cooperation.  They moved management around and did not listen to staff concerns.  A very difficult transition of every possible system that was in place frustrated teams trying to do job efficiently.  Very little support provided in transition and changes that were not thought through well.  Several instances of setting staff up to fail and only a few people cared to listen, but had no power to improve the situation.  The CEO promised nothing would change, but literally EVERYTHING changed not for the better.

I worked for DOCS for almost 2.1/2 years and in that time Management was awful they changed multiple times. The “regional manager” who was initially a receptionist knows NOTHING! The “office manager” is far from helpful, far from understanding and did nothing to help bring back employees after COVID-19. In fact they forced people to resign so they could no longer receive their benefits. And replaced them with less experienced people that they could pay less. Their pay is terrible. Their offices are all understaffed. It’s an awful place to work. They won’t care about you. And they’ll try to use you as much as they can. KEEP LOOKING!!

Poor pay, no raises, high turnaround, constant drama, the bad workers are praised and the good workers aren’t treated well.

Poor. Stressful. Drama filled. Providers and manager choose favorites. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Frustrating from no one being trained correctly. Frustrating because no one truly cares about the patients.
