Work tasks can change every day due to nature of the position, which I enjoy. There are however select routine tasks that must be completed to maintain workflow of colleagues and keep systems running. On top of that, this kind of work can be un-predictable, so one must be ready to jump on a new task, or have effective multi-tasking skills. Often times have to be in multiple places at once, this is a plus for me as it is exciting and you need to put your best self forward. 

Heavy involvement in challenging but exciting projects which require constant learning. These projects promote and make room for the growth of the company. I've found this role to be very rewarding, and I take home new knowledge every single day. Our management team and resources at hand instill confidence that any problem can be solved. I feel my input and ideas matter which I value a great deal. 

High level of interaction with professionals - both inside and outside the company. There is very little room for negligence or miscommunication.

Can only speak for the workplace culture within my department and those I interact with, can not speak for many of our employees in other medical roles but I am sure their experience is similar - I find the culture surrounding me enjoyable and professional. I can say you won't fit in here if you don't want to be a team-player or you'd rather keep to yourself. This just isn't the environment for that.

Easy to get in touch with a colleague or management at any given time to keep the job moving.
 
Proud to be a part of a growing company which provides an exemplary standard for patient care and employee experience. I feel accountable for the work that I perform, and as a result would not hesitate to recommend family or friends to seek care with us. I feel that is a rarity in todays world.

A typical work day for me at PDP is very laid back. We do have expectations but they are not shoved down our throats. They trust us to meet our expectations while having a good time at work. The owner of the company is an amazing manager. He comes to greet us on a daily basis and he always thanks us for the work we do even on a simple day. This is the first place I have worked where you can clearly tell management cares about their workers as well as their customers/patients and trust me, I have worked with a lot of different managers in a few different places. I believe we have a great management team. I very much like everyone I have come across in this company. I feel like we have a very nice dynamic going and I feel as though the right people get hired for the right jobs. I learned so much in the short amount of time that I have worked here and I am excited to learn more. We have a lot of knowledgeable people working with us which makes learning and working here a breeze. The hardest part of the job would have to be the information I had to learn for the job. The information is not difficult to learn there is just a lot of it but once you get the hang of it, again, IT'S A BREEZE! The most enjoyable part of my job are the people I work with to be honest! I love helping our patients and making sure they have a pleasant experience with us but it is the people I work with that make this job not feel like work! I LOVE our monthly potlucks we have in the Customer Service Center and I love that with things like this, our manager is very inclusive. I would recommend this job to anyone who is looking for an environment they are comfortable in as well as an environment you feel appreciated in!

Pay is to a minimum. have to ask for raise multiple times which the company will fight to give you no matter how hard you work/ how good your attendance / experience.
Management is horrific. Manager creates hostile environment for many employees. Targets certain workers to eventually fire them or force them into a schedule which they are unable to work and eventually have to resign. Favoritism is present. Not a comfortable feeling being targeted by management. They do not work with their employees to be successful, instead they work against their employees. It's a game of money and the upper hand is a tyrant. "Patient is always right" even when patients threaten employees. Management takes side of what will get them more money in their pocket. 
Management has high turn over, lesser knowledge on how a medical clinic needs to be run.
Many good people working there that have been driven out by lack of management. Biggest issue: MANAGEMENT.
Doctors could care less what happens during a daily clinic as long as they have an over-booked schedule which makes them money. runs like a factory. 
Hardest part of the job is knowing there is endless hard work to be done, yet no appreciation when accomplishing and picking up slack of other workers. Minimum pay, maximum expectations. Almost threatening employees to work -  certain tasks demanded with being fired or no raises.  The employee side of any story is irrelevant and management admittedly does not care to hear what happened to the employee.

I love my job! Like any other job, you are going to have things about it that you would like to change but it is VERY minimal at this job & they will always take your feedback into consideration and try to work to make the workplace better and better everyday! I have been here for almost 3 years & I recommend this job to anyone who loves to interact with people, whether it be on the phone or in person. There are so many positions in this practice that anyone can find the spot they are most interested in while having the room to grow and exceed their own expectations. My favorite part of this job is definitely my manager in the Patient Advocate Center! She goes above and beyond for us on a daily basis to make us feel appreciated, not just work wise. She appreciates us on our birthdays, holidays, and just because to always remind us that we are an asset to the practice. Not only is she amazing but the doctors and providers are as well. They are funny, playful and understanding with the staff while being VERY professional and providing wonderful beside manner to their patients. There are so many great things I could say about Dermatology Partners. If you're having doubts about starting a job here or even applying, put those doubts aside because you will be in good hands!

From my experience. DP is a major headache. Nothing is consistent. Employees are regularly harassed about making sure they do not go over 40 hours. Any overtime is prohibited. Employees are expected to clock in with 15 minutes of starting clinical hours and leaving 30 minutes after patients are done for the day. During the day, MAs are expected to return message and do paperwork as required which can be time consuming, especially if the patient load is heavy that day. Management is horrible and inconsistent. Unless youre a favorite, you are not valued or appreciated. The turnover rate is extremely high. More employees are leaving then staying. The health insurance offered by the company is outrageously expensive and doesnt cover much. There is always a shortage of help due to constant short staffing. Management is unprofessional. Traveling is expected and you are never given a chance to decline. Unless you are a favorite, you will not be assigned a single location. No matter how much you say you cannot travel, you are still forced to. Most times, you dont find out a last minute office travel change until that morning. This company expects you to stop living your life for them. 

I enjoyed my time with the patients I met while working at Dermatology Partners. Meeting new people and getting to know the patients are the best parts of this job. In addition to that, my coworkers have been wonderful! I have had no issues with them and they have been nothing but supportive of me.

However, I feel like Dermatology Partners may have expanded a little too fast and forgot their own core values. There has been inconsistency in "monthly meetings," employee of the week, quarterly newsletters, and overall uniformity. There seems to be a lot of new ideas or implementations being thrown around, but never being followed through. Time stamps are also highly monitored and prevents employees from reaching close to 40 hours a week by setting a fixed time at which you can clock in, which is frustrating for employees who never go into overtime or need the extra hours to help pay for bills. Training/compliance team also unclear at times, especially when regarding updates on the EMR system, MIPS, etc. 

Overall, my experience at Dermatology Partners was good. I learned a lot of patient care skills as well as clinical administrative tasks, but again would've appreciated more structure within the company. 

I have been at Pennsylvania Dermatology Partners for over four years and have enjoyed the large part of my time here. I have watched (and helped) the company grow its workforce and I have also been able to grow my responsibilities and compensation. 
The main work of the company is in treating patients with skin issues. To do that there is a workforce of medical assistants and front desk staff who greet patients and help the doctors treat them. Over the past few years the company has also grown a centralized administration and middle management including a customer service team, an operations team, an HR team and some other task focused teams. 
The pace of work can be pretty fast, but it is generally exciting and involves helping patients which I find rewarding. Like any workplace with a lot of staff, the company has some turnover and not every gets along perfectly. That said, I have never experienced a problem I could not raise with my manager, and I have always seen my concerns taken seriously. I am excited about my role in the company and what looks like a bright future here. 
I would recommend Pennsylvania Dermatology Partners as a fun and fair place to work with lots of opportunity for growth.

Working as a medical assistant at Dermatology Partners has been an enriching journey filled with learning and growth. However, persistent understaffing posed significant challenges, placing strain on resources and demanding a delicate balance between efficiency and quality of care. Despite these hurdles, I developed resilience and honed my ability to prioritize tasks effectively. 
As I move forward, I carry with me the invaluable lessons learned and experiences gained at Dermatology Partners. Grateful for the opportunities and relationships forged, I am optimistic about applying these insights to future endeavors in healthcare. My journey at Dermatology Partners has been marked by growth, learning, and the unwavering pursuit of excellence, shaping me into a more capable and resilient healthcare professional.

Dermatology Partners is a very inclusive and team oriented establishment. They strive to be open to feedback from their staff and have an understanding  of how each department throughout the company can work efficiently. Employees that show understanding of their responsibilities and roles of their position with the company, can advance rather quickly. The management team is very approachable, and welcomes each staff member to reach out at any time for feedback, direction, and any other issues or questions they may be having. The providers at Dermatology Partners are an excellent source of education to their staff. Not only do staff members get on the job training, but the providers that the medical assistants work for, want their staff to understand what their mission for a great patient care experience is. If the provider a staff member is working for is off, the company will make sure that if you want to get your hours, they send you to another providers office or have you help in their headquarters with other tasks. 

Company is organized which makes it likeable to continue working for. Very Flexible and understanding. I enjoy working here as everyone is nice and fun to be around. My manager is always there to support you and hear you out if you have any concerns. Team I work with is amazing as well as the Doctor. 

Some cons - I'm considered a full time employee but there is times you don't make it to 36 hours a week, which you're supposed to be guaranteed. Pay is some what low, especially if you have many years of experience. If you're traveling to help cover an office, you only get paid for one hour of commute instead of two. 

Upper management you don't see much or hear from. It would be nice to be greeted and see faces especially if you're a new employee.
