In my opinion, communication with HR was often difficult, and many responses felt templated or generic. Language barrier was the biggest issue. I personally felt that payroll issues were frustrating to deal with, especially when something needed to be corrected and required multiple follow-ups.

From my perspective, management seemed more focused on financial performance than staff support. I felt that policies were not always applied consistently, and communication among leadership came across as unprofessional.  Management tends to gossip instead of resolving issues.

In my opinion, the staffing expectations were very high. It felt like employees were often expected to pick up extra shifts, take on multiple roles, and handle responsibilities beyond their main job duties. At times, I felt this created unnecessary stress and made the workload feel unfair. If you refused you would be punished. 

I also felt that training could have been stronger. In my opinion, employees were sometimes placed alone before they felt fully prepared, which may have contributed to low morale and turnover. Scheduling also felt inconsistent to me, with changes sometimes happening on short notice. Schedules getting assigned only 1.5 weeks in advance. Time off felt difficult to obtain.

From my perspective, patient billing could be sketchy, and I felt that some patients became frustrated when balances or adjustments were not clearly explained or fully processed yet.

In my opinion, job security felt uncertain. Clinic schedules and locations seemed to change with little notice at times, which made work feel unstable.

I also felt that career growth opportunities were limited unless employees were willing to take on significantly more work and have no life outside of work. In my personal experience, the raise I received after two years felt disappointing compared to the hundreds of responsibilities I had taken on.

There was also a serious safety incident involving a patient and a staff member at one location, and in my opinion, the company could have communicated more clearly and provided stronger support to staff afterward instead of brushing it off.

Overall, this is only my personal opinion, but I felt that staff were expected to handle a heavy workload with limited support, inconsistent communication, and limited opportunities for meaningful growth.

This place hires just about anybody! The job culture is toxic, Management encourages employees to snitch about one another to get favors! The pay isn't bad but the scheduling is insane. You are scheduled whenever and wherever they like. Your bonuses can be rectified if management simply doesn't like you. You must stay on your toes because there's never any job security. You're constantly reminded that you are replaceable no matter how hard you try. You are constantly bombarded by emails from management and HR over the smallest things, which they use as a tactic to stop your advancement and stop you from asking for a raise. They fire people without warning. Many of their loyal workers get deleted without a reason, simply because they hired someone for a cheaper wage. Imagine waking up one morning to review your scheduled and you're unable to access your when to work app. Or wake up to a phone call from one of your nosy coworkers asking you why you got deleted, meanwhile you thought you still have your job. That's disastrous given that many people's livelihood can be destroyed at management's will. They are very money centered, and your breaths will be counted. They even meddle with your personal life outside of work. Employees are encouraged to take screenshots and pictures of their fellow coworkers to "throw them out the door" in return for kudo points with management. No matter how hard you work, you're never going to feel good enough. Employees never follow sanitization protocols, they are reckless, don't care about patients, only about how many patients they see on a shift. Management has it so if a shift meets a certain quota, they are rewarded with gift cards. Therefore, patients are handled very carelessly. I wouldn't recommend this place for employment to my worst enemy. Good luck getting a break or taking 5 minutes to yourself. You're going to be overworked, underpaid and extremely unappreciated. You are never seen or heard by upper management. The pay isn't worth the risk.

When I first started working everything was fine. The training was not the best but as it being an Urgent Care, it was what I expected. After my 90 days I was promoted to one of the Lead Medical Assistants. I started off as the official Lead Medical Assistant for their Waterloo location. After a couple of months of the building launch, we began to see at least 25 patients a day. I was then offered the position of the initial trainer for all new employees in Waterloo. They began to hire new employees in at a higher hourly rate than me with less responsibilities and non lead/management. I was only making $15 a hour but posted a new job posting for the pay to be up to $23 a hour. I then requested a pay raise which was denied for attendance which were excused for my mother’s illness and my daughter medical condition. I put my all into this company. Sacrificed many memorable events such as graduations for this company. This company is based in Michigan so the Illinois Clinics are the step sisters that do not get treated equally at all. I personally have not met with any upper management besides my video interview and that was it. When we have situations we have to call them and hope for a response back. I did everything in my power to make sure that this company had a turn around positively by ensuring that employees are valued. Every suggestion that I gave them were shot down instantly. They do not care about your work life balance and you are only a number to them. My coworkers were awesome but management is terrible and they treated one of the best employees that they have had like a piece of gum on the bottom of there micromanaged shoe. 

Working here started off with promise but quickly revealed a number of serious concerns. PTO is difficult to use, and several of the benefits discussed during onboarding were either unavailable or not delivered as expected. Policies and procedures, including the employee handbook, were changed during employment with little transparency, which created confusion and instability.

Bonuses are offered, but often feel conditional — used more as leverage than genuine rewards. Providers are expected to fill multiple roles, often beyond their scope, with minimal support or structured training. This is especially difficult for new graduates, who receive very limited guidance.

Staffing levels are often inadequate, putting pressure on the clinical team and raising patient safety concerns. Feedback from staff is largely unacknowledged, and management decisions are frequently abrupt and poorly communicated. Leadership appears disorganized and inconsistent, which only adds to the overall stress.

The turnover rate is extremely high, with most employees leaving within a year. This should be a red flag for anyone considering long-term employment.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working at the company. It is just a horror show. Upper management is mind-blowingly out of touch with the reality of working in the clinics, workplace safety couldn't be less of a concern for them, patient safety was only an inconvenience.
At the beginning of every day, the owner wants you to go outside and take a picture of the open signs to prove you turned them on. It doesn't matter if you have patients lined up at the door, you better take that picture of the open sign before you help a patient. There's a no cell phone policy, but management is constantly haranguing staff to use their personal phones for work tasks. Staff is frequently forced to work 13 hour days in a building without working restrooms because upper management won't pay for emergency plumbing or to fix known issues. Training isn't good. You'll be hired as an MA but work the front desk with minimal training on the check-in system. Upper management is rude when talking to staff. Major policy changes happen without warning. Clinics are too understaffed for lunch breaks to be given in 13 hour shifts

Horrible. Very hostile. Encourages "me first" attitude

Expect to be treated like a slave. No respect for your role in the clinic. And to be told to do basically whatever the patient wants, including prescriptions. All this place cares about is patient volume so they can get more money! They will not pay you for working more than your contracted hours as they don’t keep track on how much you work, and prorate you if they do not schedule your regular shifts, But they call it salary. Also expect to stay open till one minute after clinic closes and late if a patient shows up then , which is everyday. Upwards of 50 patients daily with no help. They will not give tort malpractice if you quit before finishing contract. You are not allowed to call in sick or risk losing your job! And you will be on unpaid call every week. Expect daily threats in emails about what will happen if you do anything they don’t like.  Oh and if you are an MA they tell you they will  pay you minimum wage instead of your rate if you quit without 2 weeks notice. Had several leave after training . Have an attorney look at your contract before signing !!!!!! So many new grads are desperate for jobs, but make this a last resort.

This company is terrible to work for. They only care about money, not about the staff or the patients. Every time I expressed a concern, I never heard back. They will do ANYTHING to save money at the expense of the employees and the patients. After this experience, I will never work at an urgent care again. They have a huge sign-on bonus for a reason, it should be a red flag for anyone thinking of applying. They take advantage of new graduate providers and pay them poorly for the amount of revenue generated by the them. Other urgent cares will pay providers 6 figures. This one will not. There is often no time to take a lunch, even though the shifts are 12 hours. The Air conditioning didn’t works. All employees and patients were sweating and miserable. One employee left and went to the hospital for heat stroke and got written up for it. They have no sympathy or empathy. They expect employees to work almost every day of the week. They overwork the best employees because they called in first and the company knows they can rely on them. Not that the employees have a choice because they get written up for refusing. 

So this company originally hired NPs for most of their positions.  Then they realized that PA graduates were naive enough to work for $10-12 less an hour.  They then proceeded to have all the NPs train the PAs FOR FREE and once the NPs realized there was no growth-well all they had were the PAs (newly graduated)-which some who couldnt find jobs and so in desperation agreed to the "salaried" terms.  Now yes they say salary but they will "deduct pay" if you take your sick day or vacation time. Theres no camaraderie, loyalty or interest of the practitioner AT ALL! The mindset is make money and give pts whatever they ask for or leave. Please do not ever work here and let these people undermine your intelligence!!!!  They are dirty, unprofessional, unethical,demoralizing place I have EVER worked for.  They will put signs on the door with emoji symbols,belittling the provider and saying to report them if youre unhappy.  Ive wanted to do this post for about a year and have been so busy enjoying my new employment, that I forgot.  STEER CLEAR!!  They pray on new graduates!!
