I worked in the Outreach and Enrollment department for approximately one month before being let go for what management termed "scheduling issues." My brief tenure occurred during a period of high turnover within the department.
Pros:

Some aspects of the daily work were enjoyable
Most coworkers were friendly and pleasant to work with
The experience clarified my career priorities and boundaries

Cons:

Limited salary negotiation after initial hiring; negotiate your starting salary carefully
Virtually no upward mobility within the organization
Poor work-life balance, particularly challenging for parents
Significant communication gaps between management and staff
High turnover rate in the department
Role is primarily sales-focused, which wasn't clearly communicated during hiring

Management & Culture:
While the company promotes "open communication" as a value, I found management's actual communication style to be hierarchical and one-sided. Requests for work schedule accommodations related to parenting responsibilities were met with resistance rather than collaboration, ultimately leading to my dismissal.
Compensation:
The salary structure appears to be below market rate for similar positions, with limited opportunity for raises. This likely contributes to the high turnover rate I observed.
Recommendation:
Based on my experience, I would advise job seekers to thoroughly research this company before accepting an offer. The department I worked in needs significant structural improvements in management approach, communication practices, and employee support. The experience helped me clarify what I value in a workplace, and I've decided to pursue opportunities better aligned with my qualifications and need for work-life balance.

I have worked here since 2020, the work load is extensive, no support from our “CEO” or our Chief Medical Officer. They are both very out of touch with what the facility needs to be successful. Very high, turn around here. There will be no raises, until an unknown date. No overtime pay but extra work load.  We’re currently in a huge deficit. Managers are all best friends and if you are not on their good side, work will not be fun. Very high school mean girl behavior. This company preaches empathy and compassion but shows none of it to its own employees. No incentives here, not a place to grow. People only work here as a stepping stone to where they want to go next. Not a company worth staying at. Micro-management is a problem here, management style is very abrasive. Not very family oriented, they want you at work. No excuses, even when you have the hours to be off work and give enough notice. 



I can say many things about East Valley, but the advice I would give is run far away.  MAs are told to do things that are outside of their scope of practice, i.e. making orders that only a provider should be issuing.  It is not uncommon for providers to be very behind in their patient documentation or signing off on labs results or diagnostics.  Due to Finanancial difficulties, all raises are frozen.  Management is stacked with cronies or relatives of the CEO.  There is no way to advance within the organization.  Very high turnover on all levels, it's not uncommon to hire a provider and have them quit a few weeks later.  Save yourself the trouble, stay away.

Not a place for long term, stepping stone and that’s it. No growth opportunities if you are not the CEO or a director’s buddy. CEO and ALL directors are incompetent. They expect front line staff to pull them out of the 2.5 million dollar hole without executives designing a plan, while they sit with their 6 figure salaries watching the little people drown. Micromanaging & favoritism happen daily. Once you’re on their bad side forget it, they will find a way to make your life miserable and make you feel like garbage every chance they get. Employees are not valued or properly compensated for their hard work. 

It was a good experience to learn the intro of the medical field. Coworkers are cool until they aren’t. Consistent harassment/drama. Will not respect you if you don’t speak Spanish and will use that as an advantage to talk about you behind your back. Develop false rumors about you and create an uncomfortable work environment. If you’re cliquey and enjoy creating drama with people 20-30 years about your age. This place is for you.

I currently work in the Communications department at East Valley Community Health Center. The work is challenging yet rewarding and I am given plenty of room to grow and try new ideas. HR is very engaging and I appreciate how thorough and efficient they are. The Director is great and creates a fun yet supportive environment. They have taken COVID seriously and really ensure our safety and health needs are met.

Lack of direction, lack of training, very disorganized upper level management.

The company lacks culture and the environment is very stressful.

Wondering how to do things properly or wondering who in management can help.

Excellent place for anyone who is starting medical career due to the exposure of many illnesses and diseases. On the other hand, very busy in a way that overwhelms everyone from employees to the patients. Hardly have time to take a break for lunch and there is always tons of work that require to follow up even if that means doing work at home. Schedules are always subject to change, with little to no consultation.

Wish I could give it zero stars. Awful leadership. Fraudulent billing. All around bad place to work.
