A typical work day consists of getting up early and working late. Minimum of 12 hours a day, 7 days a week meeting with clients to adjust property damage due to a catastrophe or non-catastrophe claim. As I have worked for Eberl's for the last 7 years exclusively for State Farm I have been apart of several learning seminars per year. All training is mandatory to keep up with the ever changing times in the insurance industry. 

Management has always been very helpful if there is a specific question about any gray area in the policy.

As to co-workers: We all work together as well as helping one another with anything. Such as ladder assist, answering questions that another adjuster might not know the answer to or just keeping one another from feeling overwhelmed.

The hardest part of the job is transitioning from one way of doing things to a totally different way as everything changes from time to time. Such as changing from one system that we have been used to using while doing claims to another.

The most enjoyable part of the job is helping people get over the catastrophe that they just endured and getting them back on track to get back to a normal life.

I had my first deployments as an independent adjuster with Eberls and have nothing but praise for their on-site managers and support system. I learned so much working with them and they were always supportive when I needed help or instruction. 

Customer service was already a strong point of mine, but the many specific procedures of the client were new to me. I learned the ins and outs of the claim process including all the paperwork and navigating the Electronic Claim System. 

My co-workers were all easy to work with and everyone genuinely wanted you to succeed. The nature of the claims job dominates your time while on assignment and away from home, so co-workers became your friends and family while on a deployment. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing a happy customer after you have completed the claim process with them and feeling their relief.

As a long-time inspector with Bees360, I watched the company go from efficient and inspector-friendly to chaotic and frustrating almost overnight after Eberl took over the claims department. What used to be a streamlined process with responsive support and clear expectations quickly devolved into disorganization, excessive micromanagement, and a serious lack of communication. Pilot/inspector pay has not changed in 3+ years as insurance companies take in record profits and the promises of “additional inspection opportunities” touted by Bees360 & E360 before this acquisition was an empty promise. 

It’s clear the new management doesn’t understand or value the inspectors who keep the operation running.

Unfortunately, what was once a promising and reliable partnership with Bees360 has been completely derailed. Unless there’s a major shift in leadership or policy, I can’t recommend working with Eberl in its current state.

Plenty of work for major carrier once certified and trained.  Work hours are long, time to arrive on-site ready to work is typically 48hrs with no guarantee for work, must bring your own ladder & vehicle & inspection tools for the job.  Managers are independents as well, experience level is very high, & some are former staff adjusters.  Seasoned co-workers will help but expect fellow team members to pickup the knowledge quickly.  Opportunity for training from the Carrier is very good if you can learn quickly under fire & intensity of claims handling.  Typical work day ranges from 11-12 hours per day for 6-7 days per week in-office & 10-18 hours per day for 6-7 days per week in the field.

Great opportunity for monetary development.  This company provided a fairly good training platform.  The real learning came by the daily exposure to actual phone contacts made with claimants and insureds.  Investigating, negotiating and closing claims was never mundane and each claim was fairly unique when discussions with the various parties were initiated.  

The hardest part of the job was sitting ten hours per day in a 7 x 7 foot cubicle during the six day work week with no room for variation and only 1/2 hour for lunch with two 15 minute breaks each day. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was that there was no room for boredom due to the number of claims being handled on a daily basis.

Good opportunities for expanding working knowledge in the insurance adjuster field - not the same duties all the time.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Work load at the beginning of any deployment would be a challenge until the load could be made manageable

Team work in small groups and support from management is always available.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10 hours of adjuster work, includes calls to insureds, discussions with contractors, review of claim status - update file notes and individual claim notes with information/data recording.

Great leadership, training and support for all assignments

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You always have more claims assigned than time allows, and strict deadlines, so it is a constant state of feeling like you are behind, but with great leadership and training support when you need it.

Excellent culture, teamwork and relationships

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working claims, letter writing, speaking with policy holders and contractors, very little idle time. For their State Farm assignments, there was significant administrative tasks and documentation required.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Management deflected any pressure from the client and dealt with it accordingly and allowed us to do our job un-harassed letting us concentrate on doing our job.  They provided written guidelines of the Client company's expectations which simplified things.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
dealing with Shop Overreach with dishonest shops in PA 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very positive The Company did everything the promised to do.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working remote get up and log in work till breaks or lunch.

A typical day as an Independent claims adjuster is fast paced.  Days are not the same and you can expect to encounter a vast variety of people when you answer the phone.  You can expect to see quality work from other adjusters but then you can expect to see substandard work that makes you cringe.  Customers that call can range from you want to do everything in your power to help them to just please can you stop yelling at me so we can get this claim settled.  
The money is really decent but the time it takes is sometimes overwhelming.  There is very little work/life balance as it is all about settling claims.  
Would I do it again?... in a heartbeat because the money is so much better than being a teacher!
