ENLIVEN HOME INFUSION SPECIALISTS

I was offered a position as a home infusion nurse. I have 13 years of experience and have high-level skills. I was excited to join this team in Washington State to pick up a few patients in the area. They advertise you will only see patients in your local area to avoid extensive travel. I was informed that I would need to train with a patient that was 1.5 hours away. I was willing to do this, but the availability of the nurse manager is limited, and it turns out there is only one patient in Washington State. I should have seen this as a red flag when I learned this, but I continued. 

I was initially verbally offered a good compensation package but was disappointed to receive a contract that did not match the verbal offer. I waited eight weeks for a response and a correction to reflect the verbal offer. In addition, I was pressured to commit to training without a signed contract. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from a company looking to employ good employees. I was informed that my availability no longer matched what they sought because I didn't commit to a training schedule without a service contract and didn't respond while out of town for less than 48 hours. I received very little communication prior to this. 

There is a reason that only one nurse is currently working in the state. I would caution you against working with Enliven as they are not even based in Washington and cannot respond to contractors.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Communication is Excellent, everyone goes above and beyond to help make the RNs job flow as easily as possible. Someone is always available to assist you, even a video call if necessary. The are very gracious, always praising what I do, encouraging and a friendly voice  there anytime it is needed

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When you are unable to get a line going there is not any back up to come and help, in Alabama

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Absolutely wonderful! I have been a RN for 43 years and Enliven was the best place I have ever been employed. You are respected, spoken to kindly, encouraged all the time, rewarded. A very comfortable environment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
As a contract RN, Simply go out to see my patients and documentation.

I've been working at Enliven for over a year now and I am very impressed by the management 
of the company.  My direct manager is knowledgeable, supportive, organized and an excellent communicator.  The scheduling team, based in Arizona, is very competent and organized. 

Even though the Enliven team is spread out over multiple states I feel like I am part of a cohesive team. As a whole, Enliven works hard to provide high quality nursing care and values it's employees. 

Though my passion is not in-home infusion nursing, I am very proud to work for Enliven. 

Enliven was my first contract job in which I had to place my hours on a spreadsheet for payment.  
  Unfortunately when I worked there the payment was every 6 weeks.  
Other than that , it was a great learning experience on how to keep up with expenses.   That allowed me to take advantage of a break on my taxes.  
  The management schedulers are
 excellent.   They shadow with you for several paid shifts.  It's flexible & good pay.  They respect your needs. Once they even set me up in hotel when bad weather was expected so I could sleep & not have to get up at 330am to travel am rush hours to treat a patient at 8am. 

Home Infusion Nursing

This is the most rewarding job I've worked for in my nursing career.

I really love what I do and the people I work with.

I do feel at times a bit overwhelmed with like job security because of patient changes in insurance but that is not the fault of the company more like an outside thing but still important to consider.

Super flexible job, it can be a full-time thing or supplemental.

The owner and nurse manager (in Texas) are AWESOME.
They really listen to the nurses.

I've made some great relationships with clients, pharmacists and doctors

RN owned company. Family oriented. Excellent communication with management. Training is exceptional and they will even send someone with you or via video chat  for anything you do not have experience with or feel uncertain about. They have excellent educational resources available. Management is very approachable and exceptionally helpful to assist you in any way! I love working for this company. 

Enliven is a fantastic company to work for!!! They care about the clients & nurses. The work is flexible & the company culture is excellent! Building rapport with the patients makes it an awesome job. The work isn’t terribly hard. It’s some nursing skills, assessment skills, & knowing how to document. The hardest thing is keeping track of required certifications (liability insurance, BLS, etc) & such, but they are really good about sending reminders when things are needed.

Becoming autonomous yet having the support when you need it. People are friendly and willing to help.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being able to start an IV on people with difficult veins, when you’re the only one there to do it

Family oriented. Willing to share experience as needed.

The owners and management are great people to work for, I absolutley loved my job!!

Phoenix Traffic, the rush hour freeways!

Wonderful, I absolutely loved my job and my patients!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Infusing medications and seeing my patient's benefiting from the job I performed.
