The people you work with day to day are great, and the job is pretty easy and manageable. Management and H.R on the other hand are horrible. They are understaffed in most areas and force people to be responsible for multiple fulltime positions of work. H.R and management talk to you like trash and threaten to "replace you" daily, while not even able to replace the people already gone. they expect full crew production numbers while running with half a crew daily. They do not honor 2 week notices and will walk you out when giving one. 3 years working here and it has gone down hill year after year.

Typical day @ work @ Edsal would be, making sure my employees were all accounted for @ start of shift.
I was responsible for all inventory in Shipping and Recieving Department.
Was responsible for all safety aspects of department.
I helped load and unload trailers as well to help my team!
I have learned how to gain more management experience.
Co workers were excellent and hard workers.
Hardest part of job was never too small or big! We worked our best and hardest to make it happen!
Most enjoyable part of job was everyone I have had the pleasure to work with!

Working at Edsal was a learning experience and bad experience. The working conditions there are terrible, people make so little money and they have to do so much and deal with heavy equipment. It was a learning experience because it made me realized I do not want to work in this company for the rest of my life and deserve better than that company. It showed me how bad companys are and do not care about their employees and well a bad experience because like I mentioned before they do not care about their employees no matter how long those employees have been there and how hard they work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I love being a receiving clerk don't have to work with many just customers its nice peace and quiet

My growth within the company been a team member for 6years

Could be better but it works for the most part

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depends on the day but it can get pretty busy

Told by Plant Mgr in Interview that as a Salaried Supervisor I would not have to work any OT because I would not be paid for it.  Flat out lied and was told OT is mandatory after I started.  Health Benefits are offered buy will cost you $320/WEEK!  YES PER WEEK with a $10,000 out of pocket before they pay anything.  STAY away from this place it is poorly managed and the Plant Manager flat out lied to my face about having to work OT.  

While working here I experienced a less than happy place to go to work on a daily basis. The management is very poor, employees are seldomly in a good mood due to lack of wages for the amount of labor put into work. It's not a fair workplace for supervisors play favorites and it reflects on your job as an individual due to point system and reprecussions aren't given out fairly if  your not a favorite!! I enjoyed working on equipment but moral of workplace all around sucked.

Edsal was always a family owned and operated company and the good family values are still there.  Understanding people who are compassionate and respectful of personal needs.  During the past few years, the culture has become much more team oriented.  Edsal has been investing in the future and promoting from within.  The pace is high speed - but there the team is great and reward of being part of an American manufacturing success is really great.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Never again. I did like the job, but the run you right out the door when you ask about being hired on.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with don. I do great all day but something always goes wrong with the machine all the time.

They are so up an down on how they treat there employment.

Working with Powder Coat application.

The travel distance,and lack of communication.

The moral confidence is very low with its employees.

Mentally and physically challenged.

When I first started working there it was very dusty and dirty. Since then it has been cleaned up. But, unfortunately I was recently laid off because I was hired as a temporary worker and they have not been moving any products out for shipping. The warehouse is full to capacity. So, hopefully they will call us back to work soon. I worked with dedicated associate's and management to get the job done.
