Security practices appear structured, with access controls and regular updates, though ongoing staff training and proactive monitoring could further reduce risk. Collaboration between IT and business units is improving, especially in project planning, but earlier involvement in strategic initiatives would deliver stronger outcomes. Overall, the IT environment is dependable and service-oriented, with a capable team that keeps operations running smoothly, yet it would benefit from a clearer long-term technology roadmap focused on innovation, efficiency, and future growth.

Overall, Equitable is a good company to work for. The people are the best part of it. They do care and collaborate, for the most part. Management is management, neither great nor terrible. In a capitalist environment it is about buying low and selling high, so they will do their utmost very best to pay as little as they can for your labor, so you will have to really make the case strongly to progress. But that is nothing unique.

The people and the culture. This is truly a fun place to work.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working in sales, the variability in commissions was frustrating. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very fun. Inclusive. Supportive.

It has a very good laid back culture. The managers don't tend to micromanage and they are very flexible with everything. However, with that they do have tradeoffs. The pay is below market value, and sometimes the work is stagnant. 

They are going through a merger so there is a lot of anxiety, but overall good place to work.  The pay is good, heavy on bonuses.  Leadership is in flux.
