I've worked at Excite for 2 plus years and its pretty clear the negative reviews are from people that don't want to put in a lot of effort.  That type of person won't make it here very long.  The culture is extremely competitive, we compete for everything.  Its their (our) dna.  If you like that, you'll love this group. No politics/BS - pure meritocracy.

They comp/bonus you based on it.  

My advice to those thinking about Excite:
If you are looking for a place to relax and make some calls, get in when you want, fly under the radar, you probably won't like it here.  Run from this place.

If you want to push yourself, are willing to put effort into your job & like a competitive environment.  Run to this place.  You can do really well here.

I love working for Excite!  This is my first experience to work with them. They hired me based on the need of the client and my qualifications, and allow me to be adult and responsible and don't bug me with lots of unnecessary paperwork micro managing.  This allows me to focus on the job at hand.  I know if I need something all I have to do is call.  I have learned a lot during these past three months and look forward to the upcoming months as I am allowed to transition into many roles under my title. Co-workers are awesome! I love the W-2 payroll system and insurance benefits if I elect to participate.  Honor system may not work for everyone, but if you are mature and have integrity, this is the company to work for!

Excite is a prideful company. They will promise the world but do whatever they can to pay out as little as possible (don’t count on that bonus payout; they avoid it at all costs), PTO is at the discretion of clients, and you will never get a holiday off. They want you to work it, reschedule for a different day, or use the little PTO they give out. They don’t have the clientele most other contract companies do. They have trouble keeping you employed and you will often go without work.  Their benefits are truly awful. Family plans up to $800 a month with terrible coverage. You can get the same pay with better benefits and trustworthy management elsewhere. 

I took my first contract job with Excite in the fall of 2021 and had the best experience. My recruiter was absolutely wonderful and was open & honest during the whole process. He listened to what I was looking for in a job then found a position that aligned with my wants. Excite handled making sure all my licenses and paperwork were in order and everything was set before my first day.  It was nice to basically sit back and have someone else handle the heavy lift. I'm now on my third contract through Excite -- when one assignment ends my recruiter is already reaching out to see what I want next. 

Excite offers you a supportive team that will celebrate your wins and push you to be the best. I enjoy the fun, competitive vibe the offices give off -- makes you want to work a little harder to be on top.

Management provides weekly (if not daily) feedback and offers insight as to how to better improve when your struggle. I also enjoy the room for growth the company offers -- promoting from within -- so you have the chance to continue to advance in your career. 

This company has allowed me to establish myself in the working world while providing me with unlimited professional & financial growth opportunities. 

Fun being able to work with the different offices located across the country, makes for fun team competitions & work environment! Competitive industry but allows for quick growth and financial freedom. Management outlines expectations and helps create plans to help you reach goals and offers insights/suggestions, it's nice having the one-on-one discussions about what is working & what needs to be tweaked for stronger results. Love the company outings - especially Excite Week!!!

Great communication. Compassionate management. Fast response times. 
I work remotely and still feel very much part of the company and valued. My auditing manager is very knowledgeable and available. I feel as though I'm able to take time off for appts for my family and make up time vs use PTO if I wish as well as my pay is satisfying as well. Only thing I could say may be a downside for some is if you're looking to "climb the ladder" /switch your position to grow, it may not be as easy as one would think. Otherwise, I highly recommend Excite Health Partners and happy to be a part of their company.

As a contract employee, I change jobs frequently throughout the year (when one contract ends the goal is another begins). Excite takes the time to make sure they have another opportunity lined up for me so I never go without work. Sometimes working with recruiters can be tricky - Excite has always been open, honesty & very transparent about what will be expected of me, what the client is looking for and making sure that it's a right fit. It's nice having someone do the leg work and know that my best interests are truly at the forefront of their mind.


This is the worst place any coder could ever work!!
They do not communicate, you are given no instruction on what the client really wants and if you ask the client to show you then  your manager gets mad. They expect you to pick up the entire thing with literally 20 minutes of watching someone run through the program that they use, and you  are not supposed to have any questions at all!!!!
Absolute NIGHTMARE ….never should have even accepted the job as I wasn't thrilled with their unprofessional interview process...… LESSON LEARNED for sure!!
Don't say I didn't warn you!!!!

Do not waste your time or talent with this company.  
As mentioned in another review, they promise a lot and deliver little.  
PTO is accrued AFTER six months of employment. (Most other companies have it set to accrue immediately after you start.  Not at Excite.)  
Health benefits are expensive and lousy.
You'll be pulled off an assignment with zero notice.
I would highly suggest that you take your hard earned talent, intelligence, and time, to a company that treats its employees like gold.
You deserve better - much better - than Excite Health Partners has to offer.
