Before I started working here Fosterbridge said that pay is $9.20 for those with no experience 'unless'  (here implies a promise of higher pay) I read their textbook and take a chapter test. This was the first lie, as I read the entire textbook and tests and started working for $9.20 an hour. The second lie is that they provide masks and gloves, when I asked where they were they said "oh sorry about that" and nothing else. The third lie was 'we provide gas cards to compensate how much you'll be driving.' After I filled up my tank twice in less than 5 days I asked about the card and the response I received was "okay we'll add $10 to your paycheck." Not very happy about that since I just spend more than $40 on gas. Then they say they are flexible and accomodating with hours, which is the fourth lie, as they will incessantly call you in to work while you are working at a client's house and also on your days off. You might get a schedule if you're lucky, but don't believe that you'll only work during those hours. When I asked to shadow a worker, they said "there's no need, this client's really easy to work with" and then I never did shadow anyone or receive any type of training at all. One time I was called into work the same day for two different client's and because I saved their a** they promised a $25 gift card for Walmart, and guess what! I never got it! They asked me if I could change my days off, I said yes and told my family my new days, and then Fosterbridge never changed my days off, which almost lead to my mother changing her days off to match mine, which would have been futile and pointless because Fosterbridge never did anything. I'm not so mad about them never getting my name right or even telling my client's my name is something else, but the last straw was when I was asked to fill in some hours (because the client I was supposed to see ended up in emergency care) and I said 'sure, okay, I'll head on over right now' and drove 30 minutes to the client's house in another county, only to find out I was supposed to be there Tomorrow. Why did they tell me to fill in hours today and then schedule me something for tomorrow, on my day off!? Why did nobody stop me when I said I was heading over right away!? Why why why why why is all I ever ask when it comes to Fosterbridge. I've put up with working 12 hours overtime, doing work in two other departments, put up with the stupidest management ever, been sexually harassed and followed, took over three people's worth of work, dealt with wild animals in my face, dead  animals too, gone to asbestos and mold filled rooms with no complaint, taken over a sudden night shifts, and I never once thought about quitting my other jobs, but Fosterbridge was almost trying to get me to quit. So guess what, all those 'no calls no shows' that they keep complaining about and people quitting suddenly? Now I'm one of them. Good luck getting someone to fill in the shifts I was going to take. Treat me like a temporary worker and that's what you'll get. 

I loved working with them in the beginning. Then over time they try to put more clients and more hours on you after your original ones and on days off. When you say no, you are unable to do so after a while they seem not too pleased with you anymore. They're inconsistent with their "rules". One day something is okay, the next day you're getting in trouble for it. The office is mostly women who gossip and act like high school girls. There was an incident where I had called and said I would be just a few minutes late to a client's house and they never called the client to let them know. My client was upset with me when I arrived. There were a few times when my hours were changed but instead of calling me they called my client and relied on them to tell me rather than calling me themselves. Over time, things with the company got worse. I know quite a few people with the same experiences. The pay is most definitely not worth the trouble of dealing with them, regardless of how much I cared for my clients. Would not recommend Fosterbridge to anyone unless it's only temporary.

You have miscommunication alot , There alot of not knowing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Well you work at a client s home and there's a lot that goes on that the company doesn't know, you just agree with the client about there culture and leave it at that. The only time you have to go to the office is for your paycheck or if the boss wanted to see you, And that is not a good thing,they all look at you like your guilty.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
None. You already have a schedule and you just go to the client s home and there's some times it is overwhelming and confusing, And some times you can  go to work and walk in on some things that you  personally don't want anything to do with, But the company doesn't know,

i love working for FB, I have for 10 months and the best part is the elderly ppl I work with, sweet and understanding and esp if they know what they want its easy to care for them. The office girls are a big help. They know what they are doing and seem well organized.  The hardest part of job is an occasional client that doesnt want help or living in less than ideal circumstances, or one that lives too far away. Ofc will work with you on hours and your availability if you are a good worker. Gotta be dependable to the clients and make them comfortable. Some are great and tell great stories! Worst part would be to have to lose these clients just to make more $$.

The client are great,the coordinators are not. Your schedule gets changed clients don’t get notified the pay is 9.20 no raise promised a raise no holiday pay no travel pay no bonus so much they ask for very low pay it takes a certain kind of person to be a hha you live to work here not work to live. You get told you can follow clients to dr appointment’s in your own car but when you call in the coordinators say no or why do you have to go when clearly your told which clients you are aloud to follow. The rudeness towards clients is another thing it’s very unprofessional.

They do what they say they're going to do they pay on time you have quarterly bonuses. They also understand that people have lives and things happen

Driving in bad weather. Client's personalities sometimes do not match caregiver

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly. Willingness the place you with clients that you work well with

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Creating the client cleaning dishes laundry vacuuming dusting helping them with personal needs bathing eating changing clothing

Worked to many hours. Asked for less and gave me more. Never had time for myself. Don’t pay over time. I worked three months straight. And they wanted me to work more clients. When I decided to leave. All the excuses came up. This client said this and this client said that. But we believe that you wouldn’t do that. Then why even call and say something to me. The last two week. I worked over 50 hours. They call you all the time. Trying to have you pick up shifts because they can’t keep people. They said I was there best worker. I worked my butt off for the clients. They stick clients with aids they don’t like. Which is against the law. But they don’t care. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of the job is that no one is looking over your shoulder constantly berating you for things you do that aren't exactly the way they would do it.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes I worked long hours for not much money.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You go to individual homes and almost never have to go to the office.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Went to individual homes to care for the elderly persons needs. Usually ate lunch in my car in between clients

Very kind managers and staff, everyone in the office is great! I absolutely loved working here was my most favorite job I’ve ever had, I built relationships with my clients and if you think about working here do it!! But if you ever quit after a while just know those bonds you made with your clients, WILL shatter your heart and theirs when you have to tell them that you won’t be taking care of them anymore!! I regret leaving! 
Edit: I missed my clients so I came back after 2 years of being gone haha love working here!

I really enjoy working for fosterbridge. I like the flexibility and management is very nice, respectful and understanding. You can pretty much chose the amount of hours you want to work and for time off as long as you put your request in in advance, you’re likely to get off for personal reasons. It’s fun meeting new clients and always building a fun relationship as a caregiver to your regular clients.
