Most coworkers were fantastic to work with.  Residents and CNP's were very helpful and easy to work with.  Management was horrible from the top down.  This facility is unorganized and unprofessional.  The lack of communication was a constant problem.  Actual patient care and follow through was sadly not as important as additional tasks and increasing job duties assigned to nursing staff that was already understaffed.  No employee handbook, job descriptions or complete job training is given.  Very frustrating for new hires to be trained by 6 different coworkers that do each thing differently.  There is no consistency at any level at this facility.  The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing is a perfect description of Family Health Services.  Management is more concerned with the remodeling and improving the look of FHS than the day to day inconsistencies, lack of accountability, changing job duties, new random rules and regulations that are put in place by supervisors on a whim without upper management having a clue to what is going on.

I was an employee for a few years, when I first started working here, I was so hopeful, I was ready for this to be my forever career that would lead to a successful career as well as be a helping hand to our community. Over time this dream job turned into a long term nightmare. There is not enough trust placed on the management team to make decisions about daily operations. There is toxic gossip that is spewed by management and staff that leads to retaliation and termination. There is no work life balance, and the ceo is not willing to structure staff to be successful, rather just add job duties on to impossible workloads, with no extra compensation for the extra work required. If you tell them you are burnt out or exhausted, they just continue to add more work. You aren’t allowed to make mistakes or have bad days. I have been personally told by the ceo during my time there that “front desk doesn’t get to have bad days” for crying in fear of losing my job and income to support my family. This place will suck the life right out of you. 

This place used to be a good place to work that was actually focused on patient care until they fired old management and now are being run by people that don’t know what they’re doing, no direction, no knowledge on what needs to be done and absolutely no care to their staff anymore. They put staff on a pay freeze in June that they have no intention of lifting but yet you work short staffed because they have either fired or staff has quit including providers! You either agree with them or find a new job. Meanwhile management is getting raises/bonuses and the CEO is making close to 400,000 a year with bonuses bigger than some staff yearly salaries. Unfortunately this is a sinking ship until someone recognizes what’s going on and where the problems truly lie, and it starts at the top!  This is a circuis now, hopefully for patients sake the board of directors start looking into the problems & they weed out every one in management!

Completely horrible and terrible management, very unprofessional, front desk=nightmare!!! A lot of things go on here that should never go on on the inside! Theft, HIPAA violations, horseplay, and when I tell you your personal information is not always personal, I do mean just that! Aside from losing my employment due to an employee who was misinformed, my conscience working in such an environment had me applying for employment at other places 3 months before I lost my job. I would say second-guess this place for sure! I almost lost my livelihood for Life due to he said she said. Nobody asked me anything and fired me on the spot due to a dispute with another employee. I did win my unemployment case in the end and I was proven to be the one in the right, when I sit and think about it I wish I would have never came to this place after remembering all of the things that go on inside.

The work itself can be deeply meaningful, and the organization’s mission has the potential to make a real impact. However, that potential is often undermined by an unpredictable and tense work environment driven by unclear leadership, poor communication, and a lack of transparency.


There’s a persistent feeling of being watched or scrutinized, as if management is more focused on finding faults than supporting staff. Some roles appear to exist solely to monitor or critique others, without transparent responsibilities or clear contributions. This lack of clarity leads to confusion, mistrust, and low morale across departments.


Favoritism and inconsistency in how policies are enforced add to the stress, and it’s difficult to feel safe or acknowledged even when going above and beyond in your role. Decision-making seems to happen behind closed doors, often by individuals disconnected from the realities of day-to-day operations.

Avoid at all costs, this company is sinking fast. Management is completely oblivious to their own shortcomings. It's such an infuriating environment. There is currently an exodus of good providers who so many people depend on and the CEO and other members of management cannot retain them due to their incompetence. Greed is commonplace, there currently is a raise freeze in place while the CEO took a raise and receives bonuses (Tax filings are public record, a simple Google search can verify this) Micromanagement is the highest it's ever been, policy seems to change almost daily without anyone's input or warning and it's often verbal. There's no consistent or clear policy that will last over 90 days. People don't quit good jobs, they quit bad managers, and look at the shear volume of job openings for this small company alone. 

FHS used to be a great place to work. The old supervisors (before being let go on a he said she said basis) harbored a culture of open door policy and understanding. My work/life balance was incredible and that is why I was willing to put up with office politics and favoritism for so long. Unfortunately, the CEO is unable to separate personal and professional relationships and allows himself to be manipulated by employees with very clear and poor intentions. I’m saddened by the current state of FHS and for all of the current employees who feel their job is on the line for nothing other than the fact that they have fired multiple people for absorbing gossip and the employees spreading the gossip are rewarded with promotions and raises. 

Work life balance has declined due to working without the above mentioned staff that have recently resigned or been fired, there is no budget for incentives, raises, but more work is required from us as support staff etc
A culture that meets concerns being brought up, as conflict, is overall not being managed correctly
The most enjoyable part was and is when we have enough staff and the ones that did leave or got fired were not lied about and blamed to remaining staff during meetings
Overall, very toxic and really sad to see because for years it was never like this under different management  

Unfortunately this company is not one I would chose to work for. Your input is minimal and even if it affects your work life you could face repercussions. They send people to the front area to listen in on the conversation and send a report back to HR. It's very discouraging to work there exspecially when you hear people working there for year getting paid only a $1.00 more than you. The base pay for receptionist is $16  nothing more and should definitely not be nothing less. My co workers were great to work with so was my supervisor but to feel like you may get fired from a higher up at any moment does not make you feel easy about coming to work nor advancing in it 

Family Health Services unfortunately has undergone too many changes that were not favorable for the providers and staff.  Many providers have now left due to raises being taken away, productivity bonuses are promised, then not given but if you are male, you are treated better.   Providers are micromanaged and treated poorly with no say in anything. No autonomy is given to professionals.  Staff are given promotions then they are taken back, promised pay increases that never happen.   It is really sad to see as it was a job I loved and a place I thought I would stay forever.
