I had high hopes when I first joined Fiesta Auto Insurance Company, believing it would be an exciting opportunity. Unfortunately, my experience quickly turned sour, and I realized I had made a grave mistake in choosing to work there.

From the outset, the environment felt oppressive. The management's approach to motivation was not about encouragement or recognition; instead, it was a relentless cycle of demands. No matter how well you performed or how many goals you achieved, it was never enough. There was little to no acknowledgment of hard work, and the atmosphere was one of constant pressure to sell, sell, sell. 

The culture felt toxic, and when I tried to voice my concerns about the work environment, I was met with dismissiveness. It was disheartening to hear that if I considered leaving, it was framed as a personal failure to cope, rather than a reflection of the unhealthy workplace. This mentality was not only demoralizing but also indicative of a larger issue within the company.

The treatment of employees was alarming. I often felt like I was being taken advantage of, with little regard for my well-being. The lack of respect and appreciation made it difficult to stay motivated, and I dreaded waking up each day to go to a job that made me feel undervalued and miserable.

I can confidently say that my time at Fiesta Auto Insurance was one of the most challenging experiences of my career. The management's approach and the overall work culture were far from what one would expect in a healthy workplace. I do not recommend this company to anyone seeking a positive and supportive work environment. There are far better places to work that value their employees and treat them with the respect they deserve.

At first it seems like a good job, the hours are good the pay isn’t too bad and you get your license, but they just throw you in there with absolutely no training and expect you to just know what to do. There was almost never a manager present, the only time I had a manager around was my first two weeks after that I had to text them, and they were usually pretty busy so they couldn’t really help you so when they didn’t I would have to try and figure it out so the customer wouldn’t be waiting, and if I didn’t do it right, I would get in trouble even though no one helped me so what was I supposed to do. The managers/owners would be so rude and you would have to be nice to them. Not only that but they get irritated when you make a mistake or ask them for help, even though they did not train you at all in the first place. My first day they had me taking customers and helping them out all by myself and even though I had no clue how to do anything, the customers and the managers would get frustrated at me. After only 2 weeks of working there, they have you working all by yourself, and you have to close and open the store alone, make sure you get 50+ calls a day, you have to hit goals or else you’ll get outed in the chats or meetings, and you have to give a high broker fee and also make sure everyone ends up getting insurance no matter what. There is almost no valid reason for anything. I had a family emergency to attend to and they asked me for a note? I thought that was ridiculous because who would i ask to give me the note? My sick father? Anyways overall just not good management and they also always have the employees competing with each other which is just not how a work environment should be. 

Typical day at Fiesta Auto Insurance was to put out balloons and a sign outside, then I put on the Fiesta bird costume and take the other sign and go outside and wave to the people driving or walking by. My employer was nice. The hours and shifts varied and there were other people who did different shifts on different days. It was usually two people working the same day on different shifts. Sometimes you ended up doing a 7 hour shift by yourself for the entire day. If you got the first shift of the day you put out the signs and balloons, if its the shift at the end of the day you have to do some cleaning and tidying up of the office and backroom before you leave. Like taking in the sign, taking out trash, and vacuuming and other possible chores. The hardest part was that if you are a petite girl the head of the mascot can difficult to deal with. The most enjoyable parts were being outside waving and receiving positive responses like waves,smiles,greetings etc... it was good.

Be ready to open and close basically every day. You'll have no time for yourself. Sounds worth it, until you see the pay. The work itself isn't so bad, except when you're expected to make unethical sales. Management could use a lot of work. They lack tons of organization needed to keep offices running smoothly. You're scheduled in different offices every day, and sometimes even if the schedule says you're in one office for the day, there's a very good chance they'll tell you to go to another office. Just like that. Sometimes as soon as you walk through the door and they think they're doing you a favor by clocking you in. As if they haven't wasted your time/gas. They're helpful at first, but after about a week or so of being out on the floor, they start to blow you off if you keep asking for help. They want you to make little to no errors. Even though during "training", they don't go over most of the problems/scenarios you actually encounter. Overall, not worth it.

I came into this company knowing nothing about auto insurance. And look at me now!!! Fiesta helped me not just get licensed they also gave me the study material and helped me prepare for my exam as well. They dedicate a couple weeks to you just to study for the exam, I mean who does that right!! (Did I mention you are getting paid)
I have never worked somewhere where the owners lead by example. They are very humble and definately aknowledge your hard work. I mostly work at the capitol location here in san jose(one of the busiest locations) and when in need my team always has my back. We have a great support system within all our locations and every day help eachother grow and always learn something new. Im glad I decided to work for fiesta, don't know why I didnt do it sooner. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The training is not enough.. to much responsibility for little pay, they made it hard to get commission, favoritism played a big part.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Goals were raised making it hard to get commission. To many details changed often hard to keep up with them all, not enough training time promised hours were not given, favoritism happened alot

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
At first it was presumed as a family teamwork.. little by little words were not kept, commission was hard to get, kind of hit the point where worried of what to say or do and get called on , realized why the often and large turn over happened often. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fast paced, stressful, have to hit impossible goals, expected to do same range in a small town as large cities did.

I appreciated that it wasn’t a typically “hard” job. It was very easy to learn everything. I was new to the auto insurance industry and through this job, I got my commercial license. The location I worked at had a “buddy” system, so you would randomly get paired with a manager that would be in an other office sometimes which would cause friction with the in store manager. This job was very demanding, loved pushing its team members to their breaking point sometimes. I worked there for about 2 years and moved up to management - the higher up you go, the more you realize how sketchy the industry can be. Overall, this company definitely taught me A LOT as well as made me develop a thick skin. 

I have had and excellent experience working here from the very beginning, the positive work environment is incredibly motivating and the management team is supportive and approachable. there are ample opportunities for growth and development making it an ideal place for anyone looking to advance in their career. additionally the company provides all the necessary training to succeed in sales, which shows their commitment to the professional development of their employees. Overall i feel valued and empowered here, coming from working at various retail stores and having no experience at all. I am excited about the future opportunities that lie ahead. Its a fantastic place to work with a strong emphasis on both personal and professional growth. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I do not recommend just get your license and get out of there is not organization terrible management they treat you so poorly worst place to work .

Overload with work short staff ,micromanagement ,low pay ,not organization at all not ethics lack or knowledge on how to coach overall bad bad

Toxic they treat you depending on their emotions , super bad

This job lacks ths basic stability, training and work life balance required for anywhere. It is super easy to move up in the company only because managers/supervisors are constantly quitting therefore they need someone to fill the space. They will try and make you drive halfway across the IE rather than ask someone from that are to go to a different office. It is a job with very minimal training and once you are in the floor if you bother asking questions managers will shuffle you off to managers. The pay is minimal compared to other agencies. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
