My experience with FSA is that they will invest in you if they see potential in you. The people I work with have great personalities and work ethics. This environment is great for people that want to build a successful career, and enjoy themselves doing it. The management is comprised of people-oriented visionaries that want to see you succeed as an individual. It is refreshing working for people that actually deserve to be in management, and they do it well. You aren't micromanaged, but goals and expectations are clear. All of the leadership have an open door policy.

The CEO is the first to show up every single day and frequently is the last to leave, which energizes me as an employee. He manages to say "hello" and show face to the entire staff.

They pay you while you study for your licenses, there is a clear promotional pathway, decent benefits, nice office, occasional company outings, and compensation that is literally unmatched in the industry.

Since I started working at FSA, I feel that I have been trained/supported extremely well. The team has great attitudes and is very helpful whenever you have any questions. I truly feel a sense of belonging and family here. 
The job can be a bit stressful at times as there are always deadlines to be met, but the work is divided in a very manageable way. FSA is organized and you always know what you will be working on for the day.
Aside from work, FSA does a good job at focusing on employee's happiness. I love that we do luncheons with the team every month and fun activities every once in a while. It's also great having early Fridays where we leave at 3pm instead of 5pm. These things make it feel rewarding to work here. Overall, I am very satisfied with my job!


This company has won the Detroit Free Press Top Workplace for several years in a row now.  That is no easy feat, but it goes far to describe the work environment one can expect from this company.  I have been with them for almost five years now and there is not a day that I'm not excited and enthusiastic to come to work.  There are perks for performance, opportunities to advance, and co-workers that are a pleasure to work with.  

This company stresses Family First and that has never been so true.  When my granddaughter was born, I was given as much time off as I wanted for the event.  When I'm sick, I get a personal call from the CEO checking in with me to make sure I'm doing okay.  It's the little things like these that make this a step above most companies.

My experience thus far working for Financial Services of America has been overwhelmingly positive. In the interview process, I was able to speak candidly about expectations and workplace culture. The entire office is highly productive and focused while maintaining a positive, friendly atmosphere. The upper level management is very considerate and supportive of work-life balance. The workload is continuous and requires focus and detail-orientation, but the organizational systems and communication between team members are helpful. 

FSA has been an amazing place to work. The atmosphere is great and the people are even better. We all work as a team here. If someone is having an off day we all chip in to get the job done. We laugh and have fun yet remain professional for our clients. We do team building which is truly a good time. I have never worked for an employer that actually listens to troubles we are having and gets right to the point of figuring something out to solve the problem. Me just being at the front desk still have a voice and they actually listen to what we have to say. This is truly an amazing company to work for! 

FSA has been a fantastic place to work from the very start of my career.  I came in at an entry level position and have moved up the company ladder.  The CEO and COO are wonderful people who really listen to the pulse of their company.  They work constantly at ensuring that everyone has a safe and welcoming environment to call home.  We have all the tools necessary to do our job effectively and are able to have open communication with our leadership team.  It is always encouraged to talk freely to ensure we are growing.  I highly recommend joining this organization.  

Make it very clear, your success in this company depends entirely on if you are able to knock on someone's door who doesn't know you're coming and get to their kitchen table. They say they have set appointments, that's not really true. No one will expect you, and many don't want you there. If you're pushy enough to talk your way into a stranger's house then you'll do well. 

They really should have made that more clear up front.

Some managers are great, some couldn't care less about you.

I had a horrible experience here. Managers did not create a safe environment to grow in. There was lots of favoritism. The constant turnovers made it impossible to work. There was also no flexibility. There was no clear path to promotion. The micromanaging also made it impossible to show any sort of creativity or individuality. Maybe this company wouldn’t be as bad for a financial advisor, but as an administrative assistant it was very toxic. 

Growing company with great core values and friendly employees.  Good structure and everyone works well together at all levels of employment. Great customer service.  Company is always striving for excellence and constantly improving in all areas of work and with their clients.  Family oriented and owner is very involved with the business and the employees.  He is always positive and very upbeat.
