when i started at FBMC i was excited to be starting a new job with them and i thought i would be there for a great amount of time. however, after getting in the door i realized that i did not want to work for a hospital like them. everyone run in "clicks", they show favortism to certain employees meanwhile treating the other employees as if they dont know how to do their job. they gossip, whisper and talk about each other and expect the employees to kiss their behinds. it is absolutely horrible. i hate i ever went to work for them. sure the work/family life balance is ok. but the pay is the worst. lets just say they pay who they want to pay. i wouldnt recommend working for this company. mind you its not the job its the PEOPLE. management is the absolute worst. save yourself the time.

I came on as a consultant in January and was asked to join fulltime at the end of February.  It was not my intent to be hired on, but when I was asked it was hard to say no!  The hospital is beautiful and in a good location. 
The team that the CNO has built is amazing, I have never worked with such a solid team of counterparts.  We are working hard to make a difference in patient care with best practices and employee engagement....and we are having fun doing it!  

I inherited a great group of talented individuals who are dedicated to their profession and I have great leadership over me.  I feel fortunate to be a part of this team.

Promised bonuses that never came to be. No 401k matching. Garbage benefits that are overpriced, including a spousal surcharge. Executive leadership does not value employees. You're appreciated if you tell everyone yes and backstab. Executive leadership lacks compassion towards employees who are exposed to COVID. You can take your PTO for your quarantine period. They choose the provisions of the COVID act that benefits them but not the ones that benefit the employee. Executive leadership is under the assumption that regulations are optional. 

The job is so unorganized and no structure. Do not have training or process in place. Leadership so judgmental and disrespectful feel like a Reality show that is looking for rating but just pushing numbers with no patient care. A person carry multiple job duties , but carrying the work load of many position. Doing everyone else’s work and micromanage all day long. I have never respect been so disrespectful before is one of the worst jobs that ever worked. Management is back stabbing each all instead of working as a team😡

The facility itself is beautiful and well-maintained, high turnover rates for some positions (clinical and admin), management could use some improvement and they never seem sure when questions are brought up at times. The work culture could be better as well. It is a small, specialty hospital so it is a culture shock if you are used to bigger, fast-paced hospital. The compensation is great and the hours are flexible; PTO policy and benefits they offer are pretty good here. Overall, a nice place that could use some work

We’re a fairly steady specialty select surgery center with a fairly slow ER. We have some great staff and friendly work environment. Patients are usually pleasant and are only here for day surgeries or up to a few days depending on what they’ve had done. We mostly perform bariatric surgeries, plastic surgeries, spine and some others from time to time. We have everything in house except an MRI machine and we also have a 4 bed ICU. We are small but mighty!

Small hospital with a terrible culture. No room for growth. The Census is always low so PTO is used to cover the days you are cancelled. A bunch of high strung Nurses who couldn’t make it at Larger Healthcare Systems’s who are wanna be management who make what would be an otherwise pleasant work environment unnecessarily difficult and miserable. The Hospital itself is beautiful. The patients are great! Census drops a lot so you get cancelled a lot!

Over the past year many changes have been made, especially with the leadership team!  These changes have made a huge difference at the center, in a good way.  Nursing ratios are very low for med-surg patients, allowing the nurses to spend more quality time with the patients. New leadership listens to their employees and makes changes based on these conversations.  The center is definitely going in the right direction to be an AMAZING place to work!!

The hospital cannot keep their good nurses! They have a new CEO every few years. Recently had a new CEO that completely changed all the staffs from administration to nursing management. Very poor leadership. They consider themselve a boutique hospital yet they are hiring LVN & medical assistants! 

This place is really dysfunctional! Plenty of back stabbing and vindictive behavior throughout management. Management doesn't know which direction to take company and hire incompetent people to lead! First Baptist Medical Center lacks a team atmosphere and a solid vision for the future! Fraud, waste and abuse is a daily norm
