My  typical day as an Accounts Payable Associate involves reviewing and processing invoices, verifying payment details, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. The role requires regular communication with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth financial operations. Meeting deadlines for payment cycles is a consistent priority.

In this role, I developed strong attention to detail, improved my organizational skills, and gained a deeper understanding of financial processes and accounting systems. I also learned how to manage high volumes of data efficiently while maintaining accuracy, and how to communicate professionally when handling payment issues or discrepancies.

Management is generally supportive and focused on accuracy and efficiency. Expectations are clear in terms of meeting deadlines and maintaining compliance, although at times the workload could be demanding. Managers are approachable when issues arise, but processes could occasionally benefit from more streamlined communication.

The workplace culture is professional and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on accountability and teamwork. Colleagues are helpful, especially when resolving complex invoice or vendor issues. While the environment can become fast-paced during closing periods, there is a shared understanding of responsibilities.

The hardest part of the job is handling high volumes of invoices under tight deadlines, especially during month-end or year-end closing. Ensuring accuracy while working quickly requires strong focus and time management.

The most enjoyable part of the job is successfully reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. There is a sense of accomplishment in keeping financial records accurate and up to date, as well as in maintaining positive relationships with vendors and team members.

 In a few days Ill reach my first 3 months with the company and there isn't anything I can complain about. When starting with a new company, you can usually get a sense of the company culture the first few weeks. There's other larger companies I've worked for where I sensed the toxicity and favoritism from the get-go, but that's definitely not something I sense from First Help Financial. Even though my position is remote, I don't feel like I'm alone and someone is always willing to help. There is a good team environment and FHF really gives you all the tools you need to be successful at your job. From the equipment to any support you need to be successful in your role. When it comes to work life balance, this company truly understands most of us are working mothers/fathers and caregivers. I am never given any hassle for needing to take a day off or a couple hours. As long as you get your work done and are responsible with your time, this is not a company that is going to micro-manage you. I truly enjoy being with this company and don't regret joining First Help one bit.

Most of my day involves waiting for new tickets to come in, investigating and assessing them, and collaborating with the Dev team when needed.

I’ve been with First Help Financial for about three weeks as a Credit Analyst/Underwriter, and my experience so far has been very positive. A typical day involves reviewing applications, analyzing credit information, and working with the team to make informed lending decisions. In this short time, I’ve already learned a lot about the auto finance industry, credit evaluation, and the company’s internal systems. Management has been supportive and approachable, especially when it comes to helping new employees learn and get comfortable in their roles. The workplace culture feels friendly and team-oriented, with coworkers who are willing to help each other when needed. The hardest part of the job so far has been learning all the systems and processes because there is a lot of information to take in at the beginning, but the support from the team makes it manageable. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with supportive coworkers and feeling like part of a team.

Working at First Help Financial has been a positive experience overall. The company has a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and inclusive environment, where employees feel valued and heard. The team here is collaborative, and the management genuinely cares about both professional and personal growth.

There are plenty of opportunities for career advancement, and the company offers training programs to help employees develop their skills. However, the company does have high expectations, and the fast-paced environment can be demanding. As First Help Financial continues to grow, there are some growing pains, particularly around process organization, but management is actively working on these issues.

Call center work can be challenging, but doing it with colleagues who you enjoy working with makes it a rich experience.  Currently the company is primarily in a work from home business model and doing well.  It's a pleasure to see the smiles of my colleagues in the Boston office or online as we conference together.

Working as a Funding Coordinator at First Help Financial comes with a heavy workload. You’re often expected to cover for others when they’re out, on top of handling your own demanding responsibilities. There’s little coordination with inside sales agents, which is critical, since they rarely communicate with dealerships—making it harder to get our jobs done properly. Higher-ups can be very demanding, setting unrealistic expectations and asking you to drop everything for their requests. For all the pressure and workload, the pay is relatively low compared to what’s required.

A year ago, I was looking for someplace new to work having lost my job due to the pandemic. I saw the job posting for this company and decided to take a chance. I read the reviews from current and former employees and saw how the company genuinely cared about its workers. I was skeptical since this Was something I admittedly cared a lot about. Since being here a year I am not disappointed. The engagement even in a remote setting is insane, you are encouraged to participate and meet people from other departments which strongly helps you on the job since you may need to reach out eventually for things that may be outside of your knowledge. Management listens and is always willing to work with you to succeed or whenever you need to run something by them, and time off is encouraged to be used so as not to cause burnout. All in all, This job really helped me to keep myself and my family in a good place and I've meet some really cool people along the way too.
