What is the best part of working at the company?
I appreciate the flexibility in scheduling and the autonomy to practice in a way that aligns with my clinical style and areas of expertise. 
At the same time, this practice makes you feel valued through work place events, growth opportunities, praise and compensation. 

Administrative processes are organized and efficient, allowing me to focus my time and energy on clients rather than paperwork. The practice genuinely values both clinician well-being and ethical client care.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Adjusting from a W-2 position to a 1099 position was stressful at first but can easily be managed with the support that is provided. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
As a therapist I have had the opportunity to provide tele-health services from the comfort of my home office and still be able to attend in person work place events. This has been the best of both worlds. I feel I have the support of the office and practice to not feel isolated while still having the flexibility and convenience that working from home permits.

I have had a very positive experience working at Forsyth Psychiatric Associates. The practice is committed to providing high-quality mental health care, and that commitment is reflected in the professionalism and compassion of the entire team.

The providers and staff work collaboratively, creating a supportive environment where everyone’s role is valued. Communication is clear, expectations are well-defined, and leadership is approachable and responsive. I’ve especially appreciated the emphasis on ethical care, patient-centered treatment, and maintaining a respectful workplace culture.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working in mental health can be emotionally demanding, particularly when supporting patients through complex or crisis situations. It requires focus, empathy, and strong communication. That said, the team environment and shared commitment to patient care make the work meaningful and rewarding.

I work at Forsyth Psychiatric Associates as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with FPA for a little over a year. I have grown so much as a therapist since I started with this company. We see a wide range of clients and this gives me so many opportunities to grow and learn. Dr. Yuan also provides training, which is very helpful. The communication between the therapists and the providers is great. This communication helps us maximize our client's care to its fullest potential. I enjoy being able to work from home. This allows me to be able to work and go to school at the same time. Dr. Yuan and the office staff are very helpful and if I have a question or concern they are available to help me almost immediately.  This is an excellent place to expand your knowledge as a therapist. 

Finding a community mental health agency to work at that values both their staff and client care is a rare place, but Forsyth Psychiatric Associates does an amazing job providing both. 
As I am starting to build my career, this has been a great place to gain a wide variety of experience. Some of that experience has been seeing clients from all walks of life, learning different ways to take notes, being part of an interactive team helping clients, builling for insurance, and how to set/maintain boundaries with not only myself but with clients. 

I really enjoy being apart of the team at Forsyth Psychiatric Associates. All of the staff are friendly and work well together. The management and owner make you feel welcomed and appreciated every day. The training process and materials are thorough, well organized, and the manager and coworkers are always available to help out and answer questions. As an employee, your experience and opinions are sought after and incorporated to improve the efficiency and work flow of the office. I feel like a part of a well oiled machine that works together to help patients receive the quality care they deserve.

I’ve been working at Forsyth Psychiatric Associates as a front desk receptionist for over a year now. During this time, I’ve learned to work independently as well as be a strong team player. My coworkers and manager are incredibly supportive, always available to help if I have any questions or need assistance. Hard work is definitely appreciated, and there are always opportunities for wage increases when you put in the effort and do well.

The work culture is fantastic – we have a birthday party every month to celebrate employee’s birthdays, which creates a fun and positive atmosphere.

Imagine multitasking by doing everything there is from answering calls, pulling insurances, checking on claims and sending out referrals. Your work is not appreciated here at Forsyth Psychiatric Associates PLLC. You will often be asked to call patients and harass them until they call you back, at least twice every hour. There is constant miscommunication with the employees and employers which is brought upon patients. You are told to tell the patient one thing, and the provider tells the patient something totally different.

When I was being interviewed, I was asked questions that pertained to my personal life (my household, my children, childcare plans) and then I was asked multiple questions about how far I can run in a workout, if I work out, if so, how much. It was almost 2 hours long, and when I reached out about a follow up, she never would respond. I did tell them I wanted to continue my education, and she said "We teach you here more than school." I told them I wanted to come into the medical field and would want proper training as it would be my first medical opportunity. 

A typical day is very busy, from start to finish, but you have a good system with great organization. You are able to finish the day with paperwork completed and knowing you have done your best.    The work environment is very positive, and the staff are wonderful to work with. Management is great, and very responsive to your needs, issues, or problems. 

Provider does not care about employees. No matter how much you invest in the company, you will be dismissed without an explanation. Regardless how hard you work to help the office stay organized, the provider will always find something wrong and point it out. The provider will then confront your "mistakes" in front of patients and other co-workers regardless if there were no mistakes made. There is also no room for advancement.
