If you're a seasoned cook, you might want to look elsewhere. It's essentially an assembly line gig. If you can manage to snag an opening position, congrats, you're one of the chosen ones. If you end up closing, good luck.

There's no executive chef, so there's no real culinary leadership. You're not really trained on how to use knives, or how to prep items or really anything. They give you a cut glove and send you on your way. Be prepared for closing shifts to be short staffed, and the cleaning process to be unnecessarily laborious. Do you like to sweep the same spot on the floor over and over? Maybe this is the job for you.

Your co-workers will most likely be pretty chill, so there's that. If you're a twenty something and don't really have a life outside of work then maybe you'll dig this, but if you want any semblance of a work-life balance I'd recommend looking elsewhere. 

Management will leave you high and dry and in the weeds every shift. Consistently severely understaffed. If you ask for a day off prepare to get the cold shoulder. You can work yourself to exhaustion and management will never notice or reward you. Benefits were the only good thing about this job. High stress, low payoff. You are replaceable and management makes sure you know it. You feel like your job is on the line if you call out sick. High school drama galore. Even management instigates drama by picking favorites and even going as far as talking to other employees behind your back. Don't fall for the "Founders Family" front they put up for a company that at the end of the day very transparently doesn't care about you or your personal life. 

There are so many varying segments to Founders, that depending on your department, you will have vastly different experiences. As one might expect in a growing manufacturing-yet-hospitality-centric business, there is a chasm between the white collar and blue collar labor forces. Culture is inconsistent and ultimately, not-as-advertised. But as with any job with more than one employee, there are people who get it and people who don't. There are always going to be people that are out for themselves, and there are always going to be people that see the bigger picture. Those who see the bigger picture and don't already have an "in" either won't last long or will reach the ceiling quickly. Advancement is discouraged here.

A typical day at work was filled with purpose and a collective drive to accomplish our goals. I learned a great deal about management, team work, technical skills and communication. The positive and inclusive culture created by owners and staff together remains unparalleled in my experience. The hardest part of my job was continuous adaptation. With the company growing non-stop it was a challenge to keep up with shifting needs and planning for even the near future. Change became the norm which made me a more flexible and adaptable professional in the end. The most rewarding part of my job was the people i was privileged to work with.

The beer is great but its a dead end job unless you're family of management. Some employees are wonderful and will become your best friends but others will stab you in the back and smile to your face while secretly trying to get you fired or spread rumors about you. The more corporate Founders becomes, the less fun it is to be there. If you're a production employee, you're nothing more than a worker bee to them.
The best part of the job is the free beer. Its a great job overall if are satisfied staying where you are in your career and don't mind working weekends. There are lots of learning opportunities within the brewery.

This place was horrible. Servers were full of drama, and if you weren’t there for a long they would purposely leave you out of things. Managers are toxic and give special treatment. They promote the wrong people and not hard working people. You do super long hours and don’t get paid nearly enough. Only busy on event days otherwise it’s dead and you make no money. You also don’t get paid each night so you have to wait two weeks to get your check and there’s hella taxes taken out. They either call you off or don’t help you when it’s super busy. Don’t work here. 

I loved everything about the company. Energy, vision, quality, and success. It's changed a bit now because the craft industry changed when COVID hit. Sales continued to climb because the ownership and management were willing to adapt. New International ownership came in a few years ago, and their management team is still learning the ropes. Great legacy and great product, but they could refresh management by encouraging them to leave the office and show face with their wholesalers, retailers, and employees. 

One of those places where you love your coworkers but the horrible management constantly ruins everything. Over time the company is treating its employees with less and less respect, resulting in a LOT of turnover, lowered product quality, and lowered cleaning standards. Training program is abysmal, you will be blamed for not knowing something that you weren't properly taught. I wouldn't recommend working here unless you really enjoy cleaning up filth while feeling extremely frustrated. 

Was a pretty simple job.  Easy shifts.  Got a bit busy during the summer/fall.  Deli was constantly understaffed so employees were over worked.  Had negotiated my schedule pre-COVID times.  Upon re-opening, management and HR refused to acknowledge my old schedule and were un-willing to work around my 2nd job.  Either abide by their new schedule or you're fired.

I love working for founders. I have worked in the gr location for almost 5 years and would never see this pay or benefits anywhere else for my educational background. I am able to support my family and have plenty of pto and holiday pay to enjoy life. My coworkers and managers are some of my closest friends and I can count on them day or night to be there for me.
