A typical day at work included light housekeeping, activities of daily living, and keeping track of your day in a journal. This was my first job as a caregiver and it was a bit overwhelming at first since I had no idea what to expect but it was not bad at all! If you ever need help the office staff is always one call or text away, and there are plenty of resources to use. I had a wonderful time with my clients and their families. 

The office staff was generally responsive and tried to match you with clients that fit your skill level & schedule. This job is very flexible and great especially if you are a person that prioritize work-life balance or are currently a student. I definitely recommend this job to anyone who is looking for a great entry-level job to healthcare and the caregiving field. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexible schedule. Work when you want to, as much as you want to.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is disorder when it relates to communication between departments. It's not uncommon to have to tell two or more people the same thing. However, if you take your notes and email everyone involved simultaneously, rather than individually, there's typically no fallout that you're held responsible for 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I feel very supported by the office staff. My voice is heard, and my opinions are considered. I'm taken seriously. This company cares. This is something you almost never see anymore!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work, take notes, and go home

What is the best part of working at the company?
Everything is fine. But only some misunderstandings happened.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful is I was always assigned to taking care of dementia, and some dementia seniors are very crazy, wild, and violence, those kind of dementia that is very difficult for taking care for one caregiver. If I asked others for help, The company will charge me for mistakes in asking for help. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I  think it's supposed to be great, but I never joined and have never been invited to any action from the company. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Any days are all fine .

The only pro about working for this company is that you get to pick your schedule which most companies offer flexibility of time. However this organization need to do better they cancel shifts impromptu the shifts are miles and miles away you don’t get compensated for drive time. Once I had driven about 25miles to a clients place  only to get my shift cancelled by the client was only paid 2hours. It’s exhausting having to get your shift cancelled every time when you’ve planned a schedule. They’re disorganized, unprofessional and have no regard for your time they send you an impromptu shift and expect you to show up in time with no compensation whatsoever 

I enjoy being able to help my client/patient with their daily activities. I enjoy encouraging them & making them feel better about themselves. I enjoy spending time with them & doing activities with them & just helping put a smile on their face. The hardest part of my Job is seeing what some of my clients/patients are going through & having to leave some of them, they definitely put a smile on my face I Love what I do

Flexible schedule: willing to work with aides geographically and hours

Reliability: Jobs will be canceled by employer or clientele last minute without any subsitution; do not take this job as a full time opportunity 

Management: They do not communicate with each other well. Make sure to follow up with multiple points of contact to approve time off, absences, or tardies.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They allow you to pick your own schedule so you get to spend time with your family and children 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You don’t know if the client you going to care for may cancel at the last minute 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Wonderful everyone always happy if someone having a bad you will never know

Friendly Faces is a very accommodating company; flexible with  your schedule and where you can work. Management is always there to help when needed. The office has great communication either by phone, email or text. The workload can be a little stressful sometimes, but I am happy to be a part of a company that wants to give back to our elderly community.

You can pick your schedule if you want to work you can if you don't you doesn't have to pick ai days

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The only thing stressful is they send you work 45 min to hour to your phone but you don't have to get those patients 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I don't see anyone from the office

The job is easy as long as you have empathy and know how to take care of people. You get to choose your own schedule, which is the best part of course. The main complaint that I have is that the office staff seems very disorganized and can be condescending at times. The way we have to pick up shifts is also annoying.
