  Function 4 is an absolute joke. From the time I started working there until the time I left, I never once felt welcomed or any sense of belonging. I received strange looks and the most unwarranted,nasty, rude attitudes for no reason. I've never been so uncomfortable around a group of people in my life. If you're a person of color this place feels like the twilight zone. 
  They talk a big game in the interview and once you're in the door you're on your own. The complete lack of training that you get is absolutely infuriating. The favoritism that is shown in this place is out of this world. You have managers and technicians who go out to lunch for upwards of two hours (on the companies dime), while leaving you high and dry. People just decide to leave the office whenever they please and not a word is said about it. There are individuals that don't even show up to work and I mean they'll go days and days without coming in and it's fine with upper management because they are friends. The technicians wander aimlessly around the city instead of working calls, causing a back log of calls that take forever to get worked.. (not all techs) only a select special few.Paychecks get messed up on the regular, they have no idea what's going on with health insurance, or anything else for that matter. You can never get help with your job because you have to talk to managers that aren't even in the same city as you, they will not make any  time for you even if you could reach them. 
  Bottom line is this company has no room for growth, no structure, no decency, no dignity, no pride, the techs are sloppy, management sucks, rudest most racist customers you've ever talked to.. they just suck. If you are in IT or a printer tech, take your skills somewhere they will be appreciated. If you want to stick your head in someone's backside to get ahead.. maybe you'll like this place. If you want to be looked down on and scoffed at, this is the place for you. If you want to get thrown out on your butt at the drop of a dime without cause, this is the place for you.

I have been in this industry for 15 years now, and Function4 was a direct competitor during this time. The organization I was with, was smaller than funtion4, but fostered GREAT relationships with its clients and was genuinely interested in their employees. Function4 at that time in my life and in my view was just a bigger version of my current situation with more people, and usually when a company has a larger payroll, people become numbers. I don’t mind admitting that BOY was I wrong!  In late 2021 it was announced that we had been acquired by and were now part of the function4 organization.  I was very skeptical at first, but over the last 6 months or so, I have come to realize that the company cares about ALL their people. And by people, I mean employees, and customers alike.  Again, this is a behavior that has been observed!  The management team is very committed to the company’s internal and external culture, the growth and development of the employees, as well as the overall wellbeing for every one of its “people”.  I HIGHLY recommend joining this growing team if you are considering a career change or currently seeking employment. So happy to be a part of the Function4 FAMILY. 

Start work - 8:00 AM 
Field time or at my home office completing quotes and performing analysis. 
In office 2days a week. 
End workday - 4:30 to 5:00


Ive been working at function4 since 2014.  In short, i feel that they value me as an employee.  The pay is good.  The owners are very generous and care about the employees.  The work itself is challenging.  However, some of that is due to the unusal state of the world (pandemic, supply chain issues etc.).   
Some of it is due to the print industry itself (no fault to function4) Overall, im grateful to function4 and consider it a really good company.

Discrimination against women. If you advance the pay is lower than the men. Always excuses for fair raises as upper management get all the perks and trips. If you speak up you will be harassed or possibly fired.
