If you don't know someone personally in this company, don't bother yourself to apply for a job, except entry-level jobs. No matter how skilled you are, you won't progress if you don't have support from upper managers. Most of the employees are referred or worked with the current upper management team in the past in other companies, so getting hired as a new skilled person for a job in this company is very low. They won't let you grow and move to other roles since they won't support you if you have not at least five years of experience in the same position, even though you are very skilled. If you ok just with one role forever, then it should be ok working for the company if you could get in. Executives know what is going on in the company, but they don't intervene to fix it.

Company makes you feel appreciated even if you're an entry level employee.  However, it feels like the newer team members get paid the most and get more resources, especially if they're working in pharma.  Annual merit increases are only around 3% which barely keeps up with inflation and makes it hard to stay afloat in an expensive area like orange county.  Especially given how many competing med device companies are in the area who often will pay more if you have experience.  If they want to increase employee retention, boost up the annual merit increases.

The company itself is growing but the workers there take advantage of the company. This is including the supervisors who like to just check their stock all day long. Supervisors they’re only there for their title but they aren’t really doing anything. They can’t even discipline their team when they know that the team isn’t follow the company policy. They even allow their team to be on the iPad or their phone watching Facebook, Netflix, etc. 

Glaukos is a great place to work. The people are smart and friendly.  The products are amazing. Everybody seems to have a common goal and that is for the company (and their employees) to thrive and succeed.  All the snacks and sodas you can drink too! Of course, working in paradise (San Clemente) doesn't hurt either!

I worked here for one year. They are company that is the best in their field at what they do, and they produce a culture where every level of the company believes it. They are a quickly growing company and are hiring a lot of people.

As long as you don't ask too many questions, challenge managers, want improvement, change, consider yourself marked for exit.

Unqualified people placed in positioned they are not fit to be in.Promise made that may never be honored or kept.



Was a good company to work for, but too much travel involved for the time I was there and no sites were even close to one another. I might have been more successful had my sites been regionalized rather than so spread out because I was constantly traveling from one place to the next. Wish I knew that ahead of time. 

A typical day is not rocket science,
But stuff does have to get done. 

I learned how to properly gown and keep the cleanroom clean.
Management was ok,
workplace culture was ok,
the hardest part is knowning how to advance in the company.
The most enjoyable part is the empolyees 

HR doing the worst over this company. HR is the one who control what they want to the employee. Specialy the pay rate. When i got hired i didn’t even sign anything here in this company. Everything is self service! My question is? What HR doing? 

Great company with great future.  Leadership takes cue from the Sr Leadership team who do care about the company and it’s people.

Pros: Treated well and respected, food trucks, snacks, good pay and great benefits.

Cons: Little consistency in the way departments are run
