I am fairly new to this company. As far as working with long term care residents this company and the building we work in is very good. I always have what I need to do my job. Staff is well trained and know what is expected of them. They frequently use registry staf, which is good because if we are short-staffed it makes the shift very difficult for staff and so unfair for the residents. Our leadership team is undergoing a lot of changes. This, I have found, is the best time to become a part of this company as I am able to make suggestions and help shape things as we move forward. I am paid fairly for the work I do. The health benefits are very affordable and much like any benefits I have ever had.  Staff who make negative comments honestly have not worked at some of the really "bad" places in the valley. No place is perfect, but for this field of work and the residents we serve, Glencroft is by far a great place to be. I care for up to 20 residents each day and always have the meds they need, the equipment for treatments, and the providers visit frequently and are always only a phone call away. The most stressful part of the day so far has been managing Covid positive residents. This company does a great job keeping us safe and caring for those who need isolation or a higher level of care. I think the best part of my experience is that I feel valued. I receive positive comments from management almost every day. WHile it may seem small, to me it is what makes me want to stay with this company. I can be a nurse anywhere and I choose to stay at Glencroft. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The Residents, after taking care of so many people for so long. You build relationships with them and they take you threw a Time Machine of memories and a different way of life and living. Points of views from a different time and places and people is a awesome experience if you listen you can learn so much

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Loosing people you took care of for so long. Or the fact that some died alone and with no family or loved ones with them or by their side. It hurts to see someone just wither away loose themselves to time and illness 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Life enjoy it one day at a time, friend, family and understanding life is tough but if you look around you’re truly not alone. Everyone’s life is a different movie and sometimes doesn’t play out the way it was scripted or thought out 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Quit, peaceful, active, eventful at times

A typical work day consist of people getting in your business , going office to office looking for gossip. Felt more like high school than an actual professional work environment. I learned not to trust anyone here, people would rather run to HR to get you fired than actually communicate with you on an error you made. Most of management are not actually qualified for their positions, some act very good at pretending to be busy. Very toxic work place, I personally was not respected for the job I did, in fact was never given any feedback on the quality of my work because my boss had no idea what I even did. They treat everyone like they are replaceable because they really will fire you for any reason. You’ll have to walk on eggshells to not upset the wrong person because it could cost you your job. Overall , I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. There’s a reason the reviews on this place aren’t good. Do your research before you learn a lesson. 

The community has a history of excessive turn-over among both hourly and salaried staff. 

Many residents have voiced their displeasure with the constant turnover and have made arrangements to transfer. 

Glencroft is a not-for-profit, but operates as a for profit with little emphasis on mission. Nursing has little input with admission. Many admissions taken with sincere doubts on our ability to provide adequate care. Fill the beds emphasized; providing quality care / quality of life is never discussed. 

Talk to residents and families before moving your loved one there. Talk to employees before accepting employment.

Absolutely not, i don't recommend. they emotionally and physically drain you, gossip and so on. the management is so unprofessional and rude, no communication at all and the favoritism is unbelievable. they'll only treat you better if they know you because it seems like they hire alot of people who are related to one another. i really recommend going some place else because within all of the facilities i've worked for, i've never been so mistreated, threatened, and unwelcomed. do yourself a favor and don't work here. i've only been here for 2 months and it drained me so emotionally it's not worth it especially the pay.

The team atmosphere on MOST days and I can only speak for the kitchen

Hardworking and proud of the good they put out

Busy but not back breaking great place to get into a routine and stick with it

The residents.  The workers were very nice also.

Meeting certain deadlines.  Trying to maintain the highest standards.

The environment was very friendly and the staff goes out of their way to help people.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy but full filling,  Your day is interesting but busy also.

New nurses in management positions without the education needed.  They lie about knowledgeable nurses to make the stupid things they do look better.  The shift has too many patients for one nurse and one CNA and nursing is expected to work as CNA and then cannot get nursing job completed. Can't finish charting, cant fill out labs. cant make assignments as too busy working as a CNA.

Unrealistic expectations of staff.
Does not accept a doctor's excuse for missed work.
Bonuses are fake, they will find a way to take it away.
Favoritism is rampant.
Management will force you to clock out before your work is done and then write you up for not finishing it.
Toxic HR department
Company runs off lies and deceit.


The director of dietary for all 3 kitchens does not have any credentials to be in charge of a skilled nursing kitchen... You think you are being nice by picking up an extra shift, then they will schedule you to work 10 days straight without asking you. They don't care how many days you are working as long as they don't have to.
Very very toxic place to work.
