A typical day is scheduling about 5 to 6 case and checking w/ insurances on status on authorizations of other case and appealing if needed or setting up peer to peer. Walking the patient through whats needed of them (medical clearances, classes and pre-registered w/ hospital). What I've learned is a lot of self management is key. I thought I was good at it but this place has upped my game for sure. Also learning spine has been my biggest challenge it's so intense every detail is so crucial. The workplace culture is very busy and moves almost like an emergence room. The hardest part is that with such a busy place management is key and they lack in it and in leading the staff. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping patient. This is a hard and scary time for them (I'm there leader) . And I have to add I love my co-workers from the young interns (how they are ready to take on the world to the ones that are my age and are managing home and work).

As a X-ray tech working in the two busiest sites for a year now. We rotate every 3-4 weeks between the locations in Walnut Creek. Some days can be physically and mentally draining but that’s expected to come when working in the medical field in such a physically demanding position. Co-workers are awesome! X-ray team makes me look forward to everyday I come in with a positive attitude and excitement. I’ve made close friends with the team as I’ve been here. Hardest part of the job is probably just the staffing. But as you can see we have a per diem spot for hire for a reason! Looking forward to new additions to our wonderful and welcoming team! The best part about being a x-ray tech at GSOS is probably the co workers and how flexible they are with our schedules and needs as an individual. And of course doing what we love everyday! X-rays! 

This place is awesome. You can tell people really care. When I first interviewed I can tell the vibe was nice Coworkers were live and upbeat, helpful and welcoming and to tip it all off you can listen to music while you treat. Very welcoming space. Co workers are awesome there is definitely team work going on even if its not your department which is highly aappreciated. Love the 
weekly wraps we get every Friday. Keeps everyone informed on what's going on company wise. HR is very responsive to questions and concerns. Have had nothing but a great experience working here and hoping for longevity moving forward. It's a busy place for sure but having an awesome team that demonstrates team work makes it all worth while. 

Salary is extremely low compared to other employers.  I was willing to take a chance on this for a more relaxed working environment than a hospital, however it was almost worse.

One x-ray technologist with one very old very unstable machine,  was expected to do anywhere from 40-80 x-rays in one day. These aren't normal easy x-rays, these are difficult orthopedic images.

They also tried to change my shift without my consent, and they increase their insurance from $60 a month to over $300 a month.

My direct manager was amazing, but the doctor's who own this place are VERY greedy and they overwork their staff.  Often expecting them to stay late every day. 

Not a good work life balance, the surgeons here are only worried about getting richer and richer.  Not their staff.

Everyday everyone comes to work stressed and no one ever wants to be there. Work used to be fun and enjoyable until management changed then everything went south. this company really needs to rethink who they have as supervisors and managers because a lot of them are not qualified to manage. They also treat you like you are a burden whenever you ask for help. The employees aren’t any better and complain every waking second of the day like we all don’t have the same experience working here. Overall it’s a mess. Do not work here unless you want to hear complaining everyday and being treated like you are basically nothing.

This company I went above and beyond for just to get picked on consistently . They do not pay you enough to see 350+ Patients a day on top of all the paperwork and really REALLY BAD TRAINING. I had to figure everything out on my own (thank god for my background in healthcare before hand) they do not try and help you at anytime. No clear answers are ever given and we were consistent thrown around when trying to be helpful. The management/supervisor is never available or answering your phone calls. Especially WHEN YOU CAN HEAR THEM ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PHONE TELLING YOU TO "ask someone else". This company treat employees horribly and then finds ways to fire them or get them to quit. So don't waste your time with this company. I wish I hadn't . 

Oakland spot is poorly run with some days there were ZERO  supervisors and only a front desk clerk to keep watch. Say bye to professionalism with management, this goes for MRI radiology XRay & clinic, They openly discuss employee personal lives or complain about their hardworking workers because they’re bored from sitting around all day on salary pretending to be busy. hardworking employees at least.
This clinic is crammed and the front desk doesn’t have enough back up support. Favoritism that ain’t a secret. Some doctors are nice others I’ve heard their own patients complain about them, egotistical leaders here, only care about meeting their quota for their bonuses and trying to put u under their thumb in the name of good governance! Join here if you are looking for an income with toxic work environment. Your car may or may not be broken into.


If you want to be underpaid, overworked, and underappreciated with toxic management and providers, then this is the place for you!!
Horrible management...truly shady. Only care about the bottom line of practice, not about their employees or patients. 
Covid response was atrocious---no social distancing, inadequate PPE, dirty rooms (not getting properly cleaned in between patients), no extra cleaning measures EVER put into place, etc. 
Patient appreciation / care was not great at all--only cared about increasing the volume of patients and more $$$. 
Refused to provide adequate resources / basic supplies for employees despite repeated requests for help and assistance.

I started working there and regretted instantly  anyway the time being there I was trained BY MYSELF .. training is horrible and everyone else and management expect you to do things WITHOUT training. I was told something different each day and got the most work .. and the stress is not worth it at this job. One of the worst places I worked at , not paid enough by doing a 3 person job , and somehow still got belittled by other co workers , employees , management is horrible ! There’s a new person each week there is a reason they are always hiring .. waste of time. Get out while you can ! There is no team structure at this place a lot of favoritism . The old ladies at this job are the worst , always want to bully away the young ones explains why they’ve been here so long. 

Working at OrthoNorcal was a great experience. I was ready for a raise after working there for a few years and I never got one. I want a job that pays me for the amount of work I put in. This company does not focus on the betterment of their employees they just want to maximize their business. 

I left because I was told when I began working there that when 
I was ready to go back to school I would be allowed to take the necessary time off that I needed to complete my education. Unfortunately, our CEO changed and since nothing was documented into my employee file about my negotiation with the prior manager they did not honor my absence so I left the company.
