MAnagement is horrible ! They Tlold  me to spit into my clients food !! and to put ink into their coffee !!  This was when they liked me and a certain client was giving mea hard time ! My children and the whole office staff was there to listen to my scheduler tell me to do this to the client ! I told her no way could I do that because karma will come get those who do such things . She told me " ask anybody I here - I'd do it in a heartbeat ! "And all the employees shook their heads yes that she would do that . Scarey thing is that the company lets her work some of our cases !she has had it out for me since my son called corporate on them for firing me but they didn't it was a mistake , I apologized very heartfelt to them but miss vindictive scheduler took all my jobs from
Me lying about two of them just to get rid of me ! I had a car problem so she told me no way was she putting me on jobs that she'd already promised to me ! I had my car fixed and told her that my car was fixed the next day And I had my receipt to show it. ( I haven't gotten to work since) she told me it didnt matter cause she didn't " trust " me or my car now . So I've e had no work from them I over 3 weeks now - nothing . I call today and ask why they have immediate opening for work in the paper and she told me she was still looking for the perfect match for me to have a client with lol wow !! She's very vindictive esp to tell me to spit into a clients food when she use like me / now that she don't- I don't get any work /- great scheduler you have ! I wouldn't recommend anyone to want to work there ! Trying to get hold of corporate on this matter does anyone. Know how to??? ThAnk you .itrird to put everything in here but there's much more she's done .

Working as a CNA you'll recieve some pretty unfair rates with other companies, who in the end actually make more money then you do. However, with Griswold homecare, you will never have to question if you aren't receiving the correct amount for the work you do. You set your own rates based off the agencies minimum which is well above what you would make at any other company. Griswold will match you with a client that matches your personality traits and hours that fit your schedule. Being a new mother who is in her last year of college, my schedule can be a little hectic sometimes. My son will get sick or I'll have something unexpected pop up and these ladies will not make you fear for your job, they will cover your shift and tell you things happen and they understand... Other companies I was always scared to call out if I became Ill, but working with griswold they understand that life happens and at any moment things occur that are out of your control. That is my number one thing to say about this company, the work life balance is phenomenal! You will never find another job in this feild or any other that gets it like griswold! There is no fear that you make enough money to pay the Bill's bc as long as you have availability, they are willing to work you all day every day... or if you need a week off they dont freak out. They will tell you do your thing and call me when you are ready to get back to work! Life has been that much easier to get through since I started working with this company 2 years ago.

Beware of this company! They're rude & unprofessional! Their professional "friendly" smile is something you have to be wary of. Make u feel all good but you don't know their true intentions! Heard the lady say I thought the girl wanted hours & was so rude about it. Slammed her phone which I could hear from the next room. They get so easily upset over people calling out! The pay is only $11 hr not worth the pay other companies will pay you more. Their attitudes are vulgar  I never seen or heard women who are sitting behind a desk acting high & mighty & above others because they feel entitled like they own the business whoever does own this business needs to reevaluate who they let in as far as management I never heard women making fun of their workers inside of a company through the walls it's ridiculous! Please don't work here you'll be making a big mistake. I never seen women act so nasty towards people in an interview & through the walls talking to their coworkers. Being behind a desk doesn't give you entitlement to act like you're better than others you will literally lose your job acting that way & never gain clientele with fake customer service & a bad reputation from the workers. Just beware of the fake rude women in this office

It is better after I left cause they finally got rid of the person in the office setting the schedule who was making it really hard on everyone and caused many to leave the company. I am told a great person is now in that position. Just have to drive a lot to get to work and pay does not even out for a time in car, gas, and wear and tear on the car. No benefits.
Not sure if I would get a raise and if I did I had to wait a year. I stopped working just days shy of my year. If I had to I would consider working for them again. I like the company now that the bad person in the office is gone.
The other two ladies in charge of the office were and are really great and do care a lot about the employees.
I will say that although I really needed more money to work as a single person----This company is one of the higher paying companies to work for unless you are working in Houston proper.
One positive they train and continue to offer training for their employees. They also show their gratitude to the employees through special parties with gifts and employee of the month rewards.

I will start with the positive: 

1. The office staff are great and communicate well with the employees. 
2. The job is flexible
3. The assignments can vary in hours but most of them are more than 4 so you can make a decent paycheck if you’re available. 
4. The clients have been kind and I enjoy working with them. 

A few negatives: 

1. You are not offered a schedule, the week is always different. 
2. You need to call the office every week for an assignment. 
3. The on call will constantly call you to pick up shifts. 
4. The on call and regular office need to be more in sync so that caregivers know exactly what shifts are open. Last minute calls to fill in a shift is not only inconvenient but unnecessary. 
5. The app should allow for a caregiver to block off days/times when unavailable so that on call will know and not harass you into working. 
6. The pay is low unless the case itself pays a higher amount. 

Overall, this is a great company to work for but they need a better system in handling assignments. For example, I will observe the same assignment available once a week. Why not schedule someone for it each week if they have the availability? This would limit on call assignments every weekend. 


Worked for this company before 2020 this my second review.  First time I gave a very honest review speaking how Unprofessional some of the staff was their was one bad apple who I felt rubbed off on some of the rest again, the Human Resource Manager was very professional when she over heard Princes speaking to me rude that day, stepped over her boundaries interrupted Princess and said I take it from her took me to her into an office and apologized to me for the rudeness and gave me what I needed.  This company needs to step up and realize some of their office staff are very rude people I quit..06/06/21 I called the Office Princess answered I asked for my date of hire she said hold on.  Came back and said at this we cant hire you back.  I said I didnt ask to be hired back she got very rude I did also and Princess would Not give me my information or CEO or Her Managers information I kept calling hoping someone professional would answer Princess kept answering and hanging up this went on for about 10 phone calls then a coworker answers gives me the information she needs to be replaced.....that's NOT how a manager acts that's ghetto...

Clients I had were nice to work for.
Office people could use a lesson on how to professionally talk to their workers. DON'T screw up because the owner WILL scold you like you are a child if they feel YOU messed up, You DON'T talk to people that way especially if you weren't CLEARLY told during orientation about if specific situations come about, and god forbid  you try to handle it the best way you can. And if your talking on the phone to an employee about a client you shouldn't have screaming kids in the background, be more professional! They do pay mileage BUT it's not a drop in the bucket for all the driving they expect you to do. And during orientation they tell you, you can use an Uber/Lyft I'd needed, so when you go to use it they say you can't! They will say "your being difficult" because they want to send you farther than what area you specifically told them upon hiring you want to stay in. They don't pay for gas going to and from farther away. The pay CAN be ok if they give you enough clients, but with 1 maybe 2 clients a week people can't make a living. 

I worked there 3+ years never got a cent of a raise. $12 an hour. I met another employee worked there 13 years and never got a raise either and was being paid $13 an hour lol right?i worked throughout the whole pandemic not one bonus not one gift card nothin. This business is better suited for minimum wage workers based on the non existent incentives and lack of appreciation. 


When I needed help on the field I was asked “what do you want me to do? Can you call the daughter yourself?”oh yes. They must also have no type of screening for clients as they often sent me to combative, unpleasant clients then if a problem happens ur on ur own then they look at you like you’re the problem. The last place I was sent to was racist and disrespectful to me. The client was able to call and HAVE ME REMOVED then disciplined for what?? So this place of business does not have ur back. Ur on ur own wen issues happen, never any raises no bonuses no incentive and if ur lucky they’ll give u the toughest clients nobody wants.you want to work here ? Good luck 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great company to work for. Their professional, caring,very informative, and look out for their caregivers in nurses. I really did enjoy my time working for the company due to my own personal reasons I could not continue to but I wouldn't mind going back to work for them.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with patients who are on hospice can be a little overwhelming especially due to this year and over the last couple of years so many people dying. I don't blame the company for that because it happens to people no matter where you work.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's a very professional work environment making sure that the patients and their employees are safe and secure when it comes to working with individuals and patients feeling comfortable with someone new in their home.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
For the most part are the clients is private duty so every day is different depending on the patient

Typical day at work was pretty good. Get up, leave for work, and i usually worked anything from a 24 hour shift to a 72 hour shift. I enjoyed the constant patients. I learned alot about people, families, and how to care for unresponsive patients. I loved the people i met and the places i went. Hardest part of the job was loosing those patients  you got close to.. I would leave for my 12 or 24 hour break and not being able to go back and see that patient was the hardest and most heartbreaking part. in all though i loved my job and i would work there again if i got the chance. I have nursing running through my veins. I have to take care of people, I made a promise to my grandpa before he passed that if there was a way i could help someone than i was going to do it....
